William Steinborn
All right let me tell you little bit about my experience with auto smart.. My name is William Steinborn in most of my family has gotten a car from Auto smart. The first car I got had electrical issues and it took almost a month and a half of going back-and-forth getting the car from them and sending it back before they would actually do an exchange. Once they let me do the exchange I only seen one nice car I really liked on the lot and it end up having high mileage and no warranty but I took it because I was so desperate to have a car so my girlfriend would have a way back-and-forth to work. Six months after I got the car I had to put a new flywheel on because it was cracked and after that my car started making a noise from underneath "motor or transmission", so it has been sitting every sense so I have called them multiple times trying to see if they can help me in anyway but no one will ever return my calls. I basically paid $20,000 for a car that I never even got to drive it still has almost the same exact mileage is when I bought It. I understand I bought the car without a warranty but that doesnt mean they had to be completely heartless was when it comes to helping somebody when theyre making $15,000 profit off of them. Plus they would have earned a good customer for in the future. Most people wouldve took the car and drop you off on their doorstep especially someone like me who doesnt have the best credit but I didnt do that. I believe that Karma will get a company like this and eventually take them down . Not just did they lose me as a customer but they lost three of my family members . The way I look at it is that if the company is going to charge somebody 3 times the car valve then atleast make sure they have a good car. I hope that this gives someone relief with their decision on whether they should use auto smarter or not. Good luck and if you do use them I hope you have a better experience than I did.

This will be a complete review of my experience with Auto Smart from beginning to end. DISCLAIMER: My experience may not be your experience. I want to give everyone the best information possible. I was a college student looking for a cheap car because I was tired of riding the tarc. I went to several dealerships and was rejected, but Auto Smart let me finance. For that I am thankful. Something You Should Know: There are two locations one for credit/debit transactions and one for cash only transactions. Both are less than professional, but if I had to choose I would go to the one that accepts credit/debit only. The Business/Staff: This is a buy here pay here company which means that youre going to pay upwards of $4,000 more than the car is worth and you will have an "as is" car that will cost you money to repair later. The salesman that I was was very nice and offered a car to me that he would "want his daughter to have". Most of the staff were friendly, but didnt go out of their way to be nice. The Car: It turns out that this car was a pretty good car (WAY too high in cost, but good none the less). The bumper was a bit damaged and the previous owner didnt take care of it like they should have to I took care of a couple of mild repairs (about $800 worth). The End Result: I ended up buying from a much better company who offered a better deal and a better car. I did trade my old car in. Final Thoughts: Be smart. Again this is a buy here pay here lot. If you cant afford double your monthly payments I would look elsewhere. You WILL have to repair your car. Would I buy another car from here or suggest this business to a friend? No. My experience wasnt that horrible, but I was fully aware of the type of scam I was in. I am very happy to finally stop doing business with them.

I cannot complain too much because I signed the contract but the sales staff, management and accounting department are piss poor, sneaky and crooked professionally. I was sold a vehicle with rebuilt title at MSRP for a brand new car. Given my credit history, I accepted the finance terms unbeknownst the rebuilt title. I did not find out about the title until my certified copy came in the mail 4 months into the contract. I changed jobs midway into my agreement with this company and my pay dates fell on the opposite Saturday. I let them know about the change in my income and it was explained to me by my "account manager" that I would simply need to bring in my very first pay stub for my new job and they would roll back my due date one week so that I would not be behind in my car payment. I followed instructions per my "account manager" but the management team with this company simply did not honor their word. For the last six months, I have struggled to come up an entire months worth of payments just to be ahead one payment. Consequently, my problems didnt stop here. There are a plethora of customer service issues that I could divulge on this review but I will simply say this: In essence, avoid doing business with Auto Smart Car Sales of Kentucky if you can. If not, take a mechanic with you during your car search to ensure that youre getting the best bang for your buck. By the way, I took my car to have it serviced at the manufacturer dealership at my own personal cost. Mechanically, aesthetically, the car is just fine now. Im locked into my contract until January 19, 2019 and I will not be refinancing or purchasing another vehicle from this company. Im going to Carmax or Big M Chevrolet

They were super nice when I purchased the car but after I purchased my vehicle, they no longer cared. There were some things that were supposed to be wrong with my car and they promised to fix them for free. Come to find out what they said was wrong with the car was not. They even changed my tire rod because the said it needed a new one but nothing was wrong with the tire rod. When my car continued to have problems, they took it to a tire place who told Auto Smart that there a bent piece of metal that caused my car to make the strange noise when I turned corners. After Auto Smart supposedly fixed other minor things, my car started immediately making other strange noises. They also tried to tell me that they never told me the repairs were free and that I had to pay for them. Thank God I had the paper they tried telling me they initially didnt need to fill out stating my repairs were free. When they initially gave me all the paperwork they wrote none for repairs they owed me and when I told them that repairs were supposes to be on the list, they told me not to worry about it and that they would still repair my car free. Thank God I made them list the repairs! Robert the car mechanic has been promising me for over a year now for a manual for my car and I still dont have it. Oh, and when my car tag came in, the salesman told me to put the tag on myself. He said he wasnt the person who sold me the car and my sales guy wasnt there. I will never recommend this place!
