Buyer Beware. Bought a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Tom Leis Auto in mid-June on a Saturday, drove it one mile from his lot to my house, did not try to drive it again until 2 days later. On Monday morning my son got into the car to go to work, it would not start. No engine turn-over, no clicking, no sound, nothing - not a battery problem either as all electrical was on and working including lights and radio and it would not jump at all. There were electrical problems. Sent an email to Tom Leis Auto - they offered no help other than to suggest a place to take it to and say sorry you bought it "as-is". Had to pay to fix electrical system issues. Pre-purchase I had discovered that front windshield wiper sprayer nosel wasnt working right, he said he would fix it before purchase. When taking car to my mechanic to put on new tires, I tested using the windshield wiper fluid, of course it did not work. Had to pay my mechanic to fix this - he ordered correct new part. He said it looked like what they had done was to take defective part and stuff it into tube with some super glue. That was their definition of fixing it I guess before my purchase. Totally shoddy. A few weeks later we noticed some water leaking into passenger side hand holder area after some rain but could not figure it out. A few days after that a hard rain came and the entire front passenger seat and floor area were flooded from leak. Over an inch of water standing in passenger seat foot area. Took car in to check this out, they determined that car had leaks in not one but two areas ... the sunroof and front windshield. Had to pay to fix sunroof leak, still trying to figure out windshield leak - will have to pay for that too. Sent an email to Tom Leis Auto about 2nd set of issues, leaks - no reply whatsoever. I know from what Tom Leis Auto told me when I was looking at the vehicle that it had been on their lot for a while. The idea that they new nothing about any of these issues is ridiculous.

I was lied to. I bought a Jeep Liberty, Marshall told me the cars are thoroughly inspected, including the brakes. When I took the car home, it started making a scraping noise. I had to replace all the brakes, there were no brake pads on the front at all, metal to metal. It was over $500. When I confronted him, he said there were brake pads on the car. I doubt I wore off the pads in two days. I also have a one year old daughter that was with me and to let a mother and child drive off in a car with no brakes is heartless. **It was not sold with working brakes, if the car was thoroughly inspected before being sold either they dont care or their mechanics are terrible, I did bring this to their attention and was lied to again. I did sign an as-is agreement and trusted that the car was in good working condition as I was told. I

I bought a car from them last year that they claimed theyd done a "50 point inspection" on. They also claimed it had brand new tires. Within a week I had to replace all of the tires because they were dry rotted and within a month I had to totally have the engine rebuilt. After arguing back and forth they finally did pitch in $500.00 toward the $2000.00 repair for the engine, but they originally werent going to help me at all until I threatened to contact my lawyer. Then a few months later I had to have the brakes and rotors replaced. It hasnt even been a year and Ive already put in well over $3000.00 on this car. Please get a used car check if youre even thinking about buying a car from them. I wish I never wouldve bought a car from Tom Leis Auto Sales.

We all know problems happen in life. What makes the difference is how those problems are handled. After test driving a 2001 Mazda Miata I decided to purchase the car, however I encounter a problem on my drive home and the car stopped running and would not start. I called Marshall on his cell phone (he was at his home) and immediately he came and picked me up. The next day Marshall phoned me from the dealership and the problem had been resolved (wet plugs from where the engine had been cleaned). He and his father were very courteous and professional. But more than that, they are good people and did the right thing! When looking for a used vehicle in the future I will always look there first. Thanks guys!

We purchased our 2002 Honda CR-V in July of 2014 and have been very happy with our purchase. In fact, we recommended Tom Leis to our friend and they also bought a Honda CR-V several months after ours. They were also satisfied with their car and both of us have continued to recommend Mr. Leis to friends who are searching for reliable vehicles that are reasonably priced. When we initially test drove the car, Mr. Leis allowed us to take the CR-V over 30 miles away so that our mechanic could look it over. No high pressure or hovering over us as we looked at vehicles in the lot. Great, family business people.

I bought a car from Marshall at Tom Leis Auto Sales recently and it was virtually pain free. I usually try to drive them until the wheels fall off, not only for monetary reasons but more importantly because the process of buying a car is such a pain. To my relief this guy made my day! I only drive volvo and he had a couple options for me to choose from. They had the perfect volvo for me and at the right price. Needless to say I will send everyone their way! The service is very personable, stock is top notch, and they are conveniently located. Thanks guys!

I bought a 06 Outback service engine light came on within 24 hours and lost all power their respond was it didnt come on while we drove it and we would have had no idea of the problem tires had good tread looking at them but were totally dry rotted a/c blows cold then cool Air compressor probably going out it is at the shop right now probably going to cost me 3-400 to get the power problem solved. All of this in the first few weeks. Personally I would stay as far away from this place as possible

We have bought several cars from Tom and every experience has been outstanding. They gave us the personal attention that we desire. Each of the cars that we have bought have been of the highest quality and standard, mechanically and cosmetic. They treat you like family and I would recommend that anyone in need of a great vehicle to go see Tom, I will never have a need to go anywhere else for my car buying experience.
