I purchased the timing chains and tensioners for my car in July from this Autozone and paid over $900 to get it installed. After the installation (about 200-300 miles later) the "tensioners collapsed" and broke the chains and caused more damage to the head of the engine. I talked to Auto Zone about this and they asked me to bring them the invoice I paid, all the broken pieces as well as the estimate on the new repair to fix what damage their tensioners and chain caused. I have been going back and forth for about 4 months with them. And the whole time their excuse was that Dayco (a manufacter/seller of the chains and tensioners) should be responsible for the damage. In addition their manager told me multiple times that this happend in the past with the same vehicle I have....hm interesting... Today on Dec 15 (after waiting for almost four full months) I finally get a call from their manager and he tells me that the only way they will move forward is if the work is completed first! So esentianlly I have to pay for the repairs and hope that Auto Zone or Dayco may cover it at the later point. This morning I called and left a voice mall with Larry Howard Area Business Development Manager, and he never called me back. Instead he ask his store manager to call me. That is definitely a wrong way to develop business "Mr Business Developer" They guy who called me said that the reason for them not resolving it sooner is because "their" relationship with Dayco is not the best?! Are you serious? You are making me wait, not telling me anything except that you waiting on Dayco for four months just because your relationship with Dayco is not good. So I paid Auto Zone $350 for the parts, $900 to a mechanic who did the work and install them and after they broke apart and did more damage to the engine Auto Zone is done with me? At this point my car is at their parking lot and not in a driving condition. An example of a crappy customer service. A WORSE customer service experience with the Auto Zone on 6804 State in Midvale and their careless management constantly making up stories and keeping me in the dark.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST PARTS DEALER IN THE STATE! WE PURCHASE OVER $40K IN PARTS A MONTH FROM ANYONE BUT THEM. MOST PLACES GO OUT OF YOUR WAY TO GET YOUR BUSINESS! THIS PLACE WILL DO ANYTHING TO LOSE YOUR BUSINESS. IT TOOK A 1 1/2 YEARS TO INPUT OUR ACCOUNT (LOST THE PAPERS 18 TIMES) AND WAS ONLY DONE AFTER THEIR DISTRICT MANAGER STOPPED BY ONE OF OUR PLACES. SINCE THEN ONE OF THEM DELETED OUR ACCOUNT SO WE CAN NO LONGER BUY FROM THEM TAX EXEMPT. THEIR EXCUSE WAS THEY DO THAT EVERY SO OFFTEN TO MAKE SURE THEY GET THE CORRECT SALES TAX ID FROM US. HOWEVER, WE FILLED OUT THE PAPER NOW 4 TIEMS AND THEY HAVE YET TO INPUT IT! ALSO WHEN THEY GO TO LOOK US UP IN THE BS ALONE THERE ARE ONLY 2 CORRECT SALES TAX NUMBERS. ALL THE OTHERS WERE ISSUED OVER 7 YEARS AGO WHEN THE USTC CHANGE THE NUMBERING SYSTEM AND REISSUED EVERYONE A NEW LONGER NUMBER. AVOID AT ALL COST! SERVICE IS THE WORST ANYWHERE!

I have usually had good experiences with AutoZone but this one when I went in with some used oil grabbed some lucas fuel system cleaner that I wanted and went and went to the counter I told them I needed to get rid of some used oil and buy the cleaner so he took the oil and after about 5 minutes another guy guy came up to the counter and asked if Id been help and I said kind of and explained to him what happened and instead of selling me the fuel system cleaner that I wanted he told me that the cleaner that I had was trash and that the techron they had on sale was way better and when I told him that I didnt care I wanted the Lucas he just walked away and I was then stuck waiting on the slow guy who took another 5 minutes, it should not have been that hard to get in and out of a store with no customers in it and 4 employees.

Talon is terrible at customer service. He told me he cant get the parts ordered into the store and kept pushing me to other stores to pick up the product. He told me he would order it after asking a manager (I assume) and said I was good. I called after I left to confirm the time the parts would be in. Someone else answered and was able to order the parts, put them on hold for me AND took down my information. This was Jeff I believe. I had a bad experience with another Autozone, but Oreillys didnt have the brakes I wanted for the front. This is the only reason I came to Autozone. Ill give 3 stars if I get the parts I asked for today. I cant stand Autozone. They hire rude people.

Got a battery here when mine died under warranty. Ended up only paying pennies on the dollar for the new one. They did have someone there ripping them a new one when I went in to give them the old battery. That customer was irate but they handled it well. She apparently didnt read the warranty well, if at all. Cant help those type of people much, but the staff here helped her more than they should have in my opinion. Nice to see that in a company.

I had a decent experience. The guy I spoke with helped test my battery after I had some alternator issues. He wasnt overly friendly, but then again, thats not necessarily what Im looking for at an Autozone.
