Over the past week or so me and my wife have been kicking around the idea of getting some bikes to get some much needed exercise. We began looking for bikes at Target and Walmart because we were looking to spend as little as possible. After checking out the selection at the department stores we decided to go to an actual bike shop and get some prices. Most of the prices were wayyyyy out of our league but we did find a few that we were willing to bend our budget on. After dealing with another local shop in the Provo area we were pretty frustrated at the "bait and switch" tactics that we were seeing. Today it was my mission to find us some bikes. I did an internet search and went to every bike shop that was listed from Payson to American Fork. I am very glad I went all the way to American Fork. As soon as I walked into BP the sales staff were very attentive, but not over bearing. I told them what I was after and my price range. Instead of saying "NO" and showing me the door (like I was at other shops) the sales staff said they would try to work with me and explained why it was better to spend a little more money. I got some prices and talked to my wife and we ended up buying the same day, even though it was a lot more than we were wanting to spend. In the end it was the knowledgeable and courteous sales staff that made the difference. I visited most of the bike shops in Utah county today and BP stood above the rest by miles. Because of the service I received today I actually feel good about blowing my budget and spending more money. I will recommend BP to everyone I know that is interested in bikes. My recommendation is dont waste the time going to the other places, just go straight to BP!

I have had my mountain bike for about 3 or 4 months and I have been pretty hard on it. I took it in to the Bike Peddler to have a tune-up done and to do some work on the suspension. As I dropped the bike off, they mentioned that the front fork may be under recall and, if so, I wouldnt be paying for it. I got a call from them two days later telling me that the suspension was covered under warranty and they couldnt get the brakes to work properly so those would be completely replaced under warranty as well. I got the whole bike rebuilt and received a significant upgrade on the brakes from my original set worth maybe 300.00 or so, to top of the line XO Brakes worth 1000.00 My total cost on all of this? Less than 200.00 Thanks guys. You were awesome.

Great shop! I took my bike to two other shops, and neither of them took the time to listen to what I described as the issue, or even ride the bike to fix the problem. Bike Peddler was awesome - they listened carefully to what I was describing, rode the bike to try and re-create the problem, since the problem couldnt be re-created on the rack without being under power/torque. They nailed it and replaced the cassette, very reasonably. The bike rides like a dream now. Ill be coming here for everything! Thanks guys! -M.Beaman

Broke down riding to Lehi from West Valley, but never fear. Bike Peddler had me up and running again in no time and for a fair price. They also aligned my front chain rings which solved a shifting problem I was having. Two other shops had told me my components were just old and needed to be replaced. The owner personally helped me. It was busy sure, but fun to watch a group of guys who all have a passion for cycling doing their best to help a store full of customers. I guess the store is full of customers for a reason :)

You can go to a shop with all the bling and a bunch of high school kids that know little about the $4000 bike your looking at. Or you can go to a shop with a bunch of gear heads that actually work on bikes and know what they are talking about and wait 10 minutes. Decision is yours. There is a pretty cool thing called the internet where you can do your own research and then have the experts order and install them on your ride. Thats why I always stop by Bike Peddler when I am in town. They seem to fit the bill well.

Wow! Where do I start? I bought my bike here a year ago, and Ive just had excellent experiences each time Ive been in. Today prompted me to write this review. I went in about 10 minutes before close to see what parts I needed to switch my high tower from 27 1/2 to 29er. I knew they were about to close, so I asked if I could buy the parts and install them myself. They insisted on waiting around till after close and installing the parts for me. Extremely impressed by the quality staff. Thank you!

This shop is fine. If you need a quick part or item then it is a good place to go. On the other hand I took my road bike in for a tun up the other day and when I got it back the wheels still werent true and the brakes werent adjusted properly. The wheels were in better condition than when I dropped off the bike but I still expected better. I ended up adjusting all the brakes myself because it was something I could do. I probably wont take my bike back there again just because of that.

Im visiting from out of state and was sent to Bike Peddler by my wifes Uncle who were staying with and is a loyal customer. I arrived to the store fairly desperate as Im stationed in a tiny town with one crappy bike shop (that already ripped me off) and I leave in two days. Parrish was able to squeeze me in to true my wheels and make some other minor adjustments. He was super quick and while he couldve taken advantage of my desperation, he offered me a very fair price for the work.

This bike shops products are great. The selection from full-face helmets to camelbaks, and garmins to supplements, is very wide. However, I have only had 1 good experience in this shop within the 50+ times of visiting. Their employees disregard you, and do not ask if they can help whatsoever. Pathetic, really, that such a great shop receives a poor review because of the lack of service. Perhaps you will have better luck than I.

When my friends ask where I recommend buying a bicycle or getting one fixed the answer is always easy - Bike Peddler in American Fork. The people are really friendly. They are great mechanics when you need something fixed or upgraded. They also have a nice selection of great bicycles. I also have to say thank you to them for supporting the local high school mountain bike team.

Love working with the guys at this shop. They are down to earth and know the latest and greatest about their products. The employees make this place feel like a real bike shop and not just some high school kids selling bikes as a part time job. They built my Santa Cruz Bronson and helped me with plenty of other things on previous bikes. I wouldnt go anywhere else.
