I am the daughter of a retired jeweler. My Dad was a jeweler in San Antonio for 60 years so I know service and quality more than most. My mother left me her wedding ring upon passing a few years ago. I got married this past September and wanted to use my mothers beautiful center diamond along with a new setting from my wonderful new spouse. I have had some business with Mark and Ellen previously but this was going to be a very special and valuable transaction. We chose a beautiful new platinum and diamond setting. Mark mounted my mothers diamond in the center and it was so beautiful. Before we left the store Mark got on the phone and contacted an insurance company for us to get immediate coverage before we walked out! He also provided an accurate, certified appraisal. Mark took the time to go through over a dozen pieces from my mothers estate. He helped me decide which items would be better to just melt down for gold value and let me know why the insurance value was not what we could sell things for. Mark has "Our inspections prevent jewelry that is not just right from coming out of our shop" on his website. I purchased a ring from Mark and twice he gave it to me with a broken stone, and a bent prong. I am very dissatisfied with the purchase and will not be back.
