What, um...do you like your gear? That wasnt the question, do you like your store...where you purchase your gear? If not, REI is the place for you! Having been a member now for over ten years, I can say that youll never find a better equipped gear store and staff ready to asisst. REI has quality gear and field tested staff to guide you on what to purchase. Ive ops checked and field tested several items purchased through REI and, its without a doubt the highest quality equipment you can purchase. Two great recent investments, Vibrams Five Finger KSOs and my new Big Agnes bag which I used over break in January at PD Canyon. REI for life, Shoopy!

I love this location. The guys in the bike shop are unbelievably patient. Today, Paul (i think) spent over 30 minutes with me adjusting my seat and handlebars until it was just right. It has been bugging me for months but I havent wanted to leave my bike or schedule an appt. He took the time and did it right then. No charge for this, btw, and I didnt even buy my bike from them. Previously, I stopped in looking at tri handlebars and he let me know they werent allowed on the group rides here and basically saved me $150 which of course I used on new shoes.

REI stores have a vast selection of outdoor gear to suit any of your needs. They carry well respected brands and high quality gear which is a good thing. Although I do have a couple of complaints, their prices usually arent the most competitive available which usually leads me to look at items in the store and then purchase them elsewhere. My other complaint is their return policy, if you arent a member and dont have a receipt you are out of luck, even if the item you are returning is broken, unopened and you just want to exchange if for another one.

So I am a novice at mountain biking and i was at REI to find a new bike to take home. I got the guy that repairs bikes to help me look for a new bike(I guess that means "i am poor" to him). We went on talking about the bikes in stock and he said "Maybe you can find a bike at Walmart and not here because the bikes here are TOO EXPENSIVE" so I suggest yall out there to never ask for beginners bikes, and always ask for the most expensive one there.... (sun and ski) is way better the service is remarkable.

I really like what they have to sell. Just that I dont do the outdoor stuff so much anymore. Nature is still out there, just not me. Very upscale and quality goods and service. Great place just to shop. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Probably best to go on weekday if you need a lot stuff and need to ask questions. Weekends very busy place. Buy enough stuff and you get $$ back when you are member of their co-op, Ask about it.

I love this store. The staff is very helpful. I am a member. Its only one-time fee of $20 but you get a % back on any return and yearend dividend that can be used towards a purchase. Good tennis shoe, sandals and working shoes. I buy their travel shirts and pants that dry fast and real light for travel. I can wash a shirt in hotel room and it will dry over night.

Nobody does it better than REI. It is not a cheap store but the products you find here are not found anywhere else. This is where you have a chance for Made in USA products as well. The customer service is exceptional and selection great. See new products on display or try out some things before you buy. Good place to get your gear.

Very nice and friendly staff. This is a great example why I dont do all of my shopping online. I appreciate the consultative approach that these folks take. Theyre very engaged and ask probing questions to make sure they understand the use case that I am going to put a particular product in.

Great selection of gear - they have a great sense of community too. Lots of educational opportunities and reasons to come up to the shop. You can find cheaper options online but its fun to go there. I did most of my gear shopping there for my last big hiking trip.

Got great advice on light weight travel gear for 16 days trip with 7 locations in 3 countries. Great staff, well-stocked & organized, just the right clothing & equipment. Loved it & want to travel more because I have the perfect gear.

Service here has been awful, especially in the bike maintenance section. The bike maintenance attendant was very rude. If Im buying $1400 worth of bikes then I should at least get some good customer service!!!

Friendly, knowledgeable staff, but a fairly small store. Planoites dont seem to be much into the great outdoors, though, so I suppose the size and selection is perfect for this location and demographic.

Great place to get biked worked on. Paul is great! Most employees give you very helpful information...only met 1-2 that blow smoke just to get you the "best" product. Lots of nice people though.

Has a wide variety of outdoor gear. Most items sell for retail price though. Join the lifetime club as you get 10% off most purchases in the form of annual dividends. Every little bit helps!

This location is my favorite of all. Their quality beats the pants off the other sports retailers. My REI tent has never blown down and has lasted 10 years and still going.

Love the place, and usually get way more that I would care to admit. The staff is well trained and have a good idea of anything that youll need to know about the outdoors

The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, but the prices were just silly. You can get comparable equipment from Academy or Amazon for much, much less.
