They sell Raleigh bikes here (Dallas 75/Royal). This is a big deal because most bike dealers in the metro try to charge you for extra metal on the frame in those fat Trek bikes and such. Then you have to pedal harder to move all that extra weight. My son, who has a bone disease, doesnt need to pedal all the extra weight nor should I be pressured to be pay for it. Raleigh bikes! Billy in the bike shop is the man. They will take care of you and fix up your bike the way you like it. After you buy it, if you want them to tweak something, they will. Only thing I will say, I think they are used to high class clientele, not everyone who works there will greet you upon entering the store, especially if you look normal. I walked in once was not greeted, and someone who in my opinion qualified as high class was greeted. I only care because Ive shopped in places like NW hwy and 75. People really believe theyre better than you in some places in Dallas and as a simple matter of curiosity and interest sometimes I notice these things. But hey, they sell Raleigh bikes here at Sun and Ski Sports. And the ridiculous movement to sell people heavier weight bikes to encumber them and charge them extra for it- (trek bikes)- Im not down with that. LOL.

CLIFFs NOTES: buy your bike elsewhere. I bought a new bike during their Memorial Day sale and was really happy with the service I received from a knowledgeable part-time employee. With my purchase, I am supposed to receive free adjustments. EVERY TIME SINCE, even bringing another additional bike I was given to be serviced/fit (note: PAID services): I have been helped by the MANAGER of the BIKE dept., the supposed "best fitter in Dallas" (according to another employee). He helped long enough to give me the wrong size items; sent me to the SHOE GUY to make adjustments i had paid for AND called ahead to make sure he could take care of; gave me incorrect info, kept my bike for services that were not completed; was rude, arrogant, and dismissive to other employees in front of me... i could go on. The selection may be decent, but with the highly skilled/experienced bike dept. manager being the WORST i have ever encountered, why not go to some other big box, corporate, jack of all trades (read: master of none) store to buy your stuff.

I had a horrible experience the manager is completely judge mental of the people that shop there Ive bought a lot of bicycles and brought a lot of people to sun and ski but Ive never been treated with that kind of disrespect from a manager? I was at the Baybrook mall location, I thought the first time that he was arrogant but it was excusable! but when I went in there yesterday it was horrible! There was nobody in the store the middle of the day and I has to test ride a bike and it did have petals on it and he acted like I was putting him out he didnt want to get the petals on there so we asked me if I had a drivers license and a credit card that he could hold while a tester of the bike been into all locations here in Houston never once have I ever been asked for a credit card to test ride a bike thanks!!! You lost business. I guess thats why there was only one person in the store so he can keep his arrogant attitude!!!

Great customer service. Im sure Im just an average customer, but Im always treated like Im one of their highest spending most valuable customers. The management always makes sure that Im taking care of, to the point of staying late to process the sell of my new Marin Team CXR bike! No matter how much I destroy my bikes, the guys in the bike department are always there to get me back and riding. Though, they may laugh and give me a hard time during the process. If you ever get a chance to make it out for the Monday night ride at Harry Moss with the guys from Sun and Ski, its just another added benefit of shopping at such a great store. I also love my snowboarding equipment that Ive bought from there, though Ive only been able to take one trip since I bought it. Sun and Ski has a great selection from clothing, biking, snowboards, and more. Thanks everyone for everything! See you soon.

I bought my Scott road bike from them earlier this year and I have received incredible service. The manager of the bike department is very knowledgeable and helpful and they also have a few master mechanics in their shop. I continue to go back to get all of my adjustments and to be re-fit and have not been charged for anything like I was told when I bought the bike. They have also given me numerous discounts on services that they do have to charge for and have even helped me through a few warranty issues. I treat them like a LBS (local bike shop) and will go up there and shoot the bull with the guys to get to know them. All around nice and very knowledgeable guys up at the shop.

If your looking for an outdoor store that will take you to the next step, stop by Sun & Skis Webster location. I recently pieced together my first mountain bike over eBay and had theses guys build it for me. when I took all the parts to Sun & Ski they helped me as if they were going to build it for there own owner. They did a lot for me and still do when I go there for any kind of help. I can say a lot about the customer service and the character of all the employees but im not going to go into it that deep. I will say this, I will be going back for a long time. A big thanks goes out to everyone there. THANKS!!! Sky G.

Excellent customer service. This place is really an awesome place. I bought a Marin bike about three years ago from this store and the experience has been an excellent one ever since. They do an excellent job servicing my bike whenever I need service to it and have a multitude of items, really everything under the sun when it comes to sports. And last but not least, Chuck, the store manager, is terrific to deal with. He really values the customer and puts the customers interest and satisfaction before his own. This store is a great place to shop!

One of the worst experiences for cycling gear that I have ever had anywhere. None of the clerks knew where anything was and the technicians seemed completely confused by the Campagnolo questions I had. Like another review poster mentioned, they funneled me to the high end cycling jerseys, but could not respond to any of the specific questions I had regarding spokes, wheels, and skewers. Ill stick with the LBS/focused shops for my cycling needs. an Insanely terrible experience. I recommend sticking to the focused bike shops in the area.

ICY reception, Poor customer service, I was lucky to receive a greeting. The manager seemed upset because I was bothering him by looking for a ski helmet, he was rearranging the store and pointed to the helmets in the rear of the store. I wanted to purchase snow skis from there markdown area however the young lady/salesperson on the ladder gave a icy response to questions. The only reason I gave them two stars because of the young kid that helped me with my purchase was great.
