RUDE, RUDE AVOID THIS SHOP. My 1st trip i wanted them to true my $1100 SRAM wheels. Came back with a slight wobble but most importantly I had some special decals from England that took me 5 weeks to get and I paid $80 for. There was a large tear the size of a dime on one of the decals when I got them back from where he used the lever to get the wheel off to adjust. When I complained about it all the tech did was argue with me insisting it must have been something I did, no way we did it. Just Plain Rude. I had to purchase again out of my own pocket at it took another 5 weeks to get them. My 2nd trip I purchased a new frame and wanted them to run a tap thru the bottom bracket to clear the paint overspray. Got it back and noticed that there were 2 black spacers in them that my other road bikes did not have. I called them and asked what those spacers were for and they said they were for a mountain bike. I asked them why did you put mountain bike spacers this bike when it is a road bike. They said just take them off. I said what? This was the only reason why I brought it in and paid you for. I wound up doing it myself because I did not want to put them out any. 3rd and final was today. I purchased a SRAM Force Groupset. This was the 12th bike I have put together from the ground up. The right shifter when I started trimming it had 2 plastic and 1 metal piece fall out of it. I called Rockwall Cycling to get an RA number so I could send it back to SRAM and get it fixed. They told me I had to bring it in with a receipt. I did and when I got there he began to take it a part. He put it back together and said "I dont see anything wrong, shifts fine". I said well what about the 3 pieces that fell out of my brand new shifter. Another tech jumped in and said since I purchased it from an online bike shop and paid with paypal that SRAM would not take it back and that SRAM told them specifically that anything from paypal or online bike store they would not accept. I called SRAM and this is a bunch of crap. I will never be back. As to the cycling shirt I have from there store it will be used as toilet paper. I will tell all about my bad experiences with them. They just want to argue with you and think that there stuff does not stink. They are just plain rude and do not care about anyone except themselves. Off all the bad reviews I have seen about them and as slow as they always are with no one in the stores it is hard to believe that they will be in business much longer. Cycling is a smaller community and word travels fast. Customer service does not exist at this store, only rude and selfish employees that care only about themselves. Avoid this bike shop and all ralleys they attempt to sponsor which I think is a total of one, the Hot Rocks in Rockwall.

Great Shop, Prices, and Staff. Dont believe the 1 start ratings that a few of the individuals have left on here. After moving to the area from out of state a little over a year ago Rockwall Cycling has become my go to shop. They have always provided me with great customer service, selection, and prices. I have had nothing but great experiences at Rockwall Cycling. I have had many purchases including 2 custom wheelsets that have been hand built by there mechanics and the wheels have been great. Both wheel sets where finished faster than expected and have some of the highest attention to detail I have seen. They have great customer service and every time I go in there they treat me and all of the other customers in there shopping with the upmost respect. As far as warranty claims go I have had them warranty a couple of carbon wheels for me and they have had great communication between Sram and myself to make sure I am being taken care of. The shop not only takes care of its customers, but does a great job of encouraging cycling in the area. They help to sponsor many events in the area including, Hot Rocks, Rockwall Crit, and the Tuesday night crits at Fairpark. These guys are great and I highly encourage you to stop in and give them a try they will do everything possible to provide you with the highest customer service you can find. I would be shocked if you could find a shop in the metroplex with employees as dedicated and passionate about cycling as the employees at Rockwall Cycling!

I was very excited to see a bike shop back in our area, I went in on two or three ocassions, one to inquire about pricing for tune-ups, another time for a gift. Each time the employees were interested in chatting with each other and almost bothered that they were interrupted. I got answers/help in short terse responses. Okay I will try again, this time I took the bikes (2) in for a tune-up. I struggled managing the first bike through the door (3) employees watched, then I went back for the second, again (3) employees watched and NOT ONE BOTHERED to get off their butts to come assist. Let us not get started on the actual write-up of the tune-up job, I did however leave the bikes with a "we like to estimate high so you will not be surprised" explanation. I AM STILL surprised...for a tune-up to cost $190.00. I thought about it later, the lack of service, care or interest, consequently I went back up the next day and picked the bikes back up before they were worked on. There are plenty of bike shops, obviously not close/convenient that would appreciate my business before this place!!

When I decided to get into road cycling, I researched bikes online and whenever I was in the area, stopped by Rockwall Cycling and asked questions about what kind of bike I should get. Several of the guys and one girl who worked there each were friendly and answered my questions or just let me browse without being hassled. When I was ready to buy Johnny helped me out, and after sizing me up, we decided to order a bike from Specialized. When I came back to pick up the bike, we went behind the store and after I got to ride it and ask all my questions, we went in and finalized the sale. They installed my bottle holders and educated me on some things I might need and I was set. I just went back for my 90 day tune up, and bought some shoes and pedals, and when I went back, they installed the pedals and the cleats on the shoes. I have been very pleased with all the service from everyone I have dealt with there on the service side of things, and a few of the guys told me about local events that me or my son can participate in, so I am glad I went to see them.

I tell everyone I know thats interested in cycling about Rockwall Cyling. Bike shops are notorious for making you feel like a chump if youre not an elite cyclist....but these guys are different. Theyre ALL friendly and helpful. Johnny is a SUPER bike mechanic and will do great and affordable work on anything on two wheels. Steven is the most knowledgeable guy around on equipment and gear......and if they dont have it, he can get it at a fair price. Roy also is super friendly and helpful. I used to be a bargain shopper looking for cycling stuff online, but I learned my lesson. When it comes to cycling, YOU NEED A LOCAL BIKE SHOP you can trust. You cant get what you really need online....face to face service.....service on your actual bike.....one on one help with your particular needs depending on your cycling experience and plans. Bargain shopping for cycling equipment online is like skyping with your doctor. Some people you just need to see face to face.
