This was the worse car buying experience of my life. I went to the lot to shop because I was settling out a total loss with my old Hyundai. The sales staff started off nice but things spiraled out quickly. I mentioned that I would like to shop around to other dealerships and at that point it became a rushed sale. The associate Ryan extended services that he could not accurately provide and when it did not pan out they threw it in my face saying "we did you a favor". I didnt ask for any special favors! I wouldnt have relinquished my car to be salvaged if the associate did not create an unrealistic expectation for this transaction. The sales associate Ryan, also admitted to being hung over from partying the previous night on "Fry Street". The staff completely disregarded my requests to be contacted at a specific time because of work restraints and would call me at work, when I would take the time to call back no one knew what the hell was going on. I discussed this with the associate who said he would try to fix it because he didnt want a bad review on his survey. The finance officer was a shark and when I disapproved of his noted dishonesty, hung up on me. I was not provided with a contract from the sale. The Manager patronized me when I complained about their deceptive sales practices. I purchased a 2014 that I came to notice had "bubbles" in the dashboard. When I pointed this out to Eckhert, they made it seem like I caused the damage and dismissed it as "well sometimes my grandkids put their feet on the dash, are you sure you didnt do it?"...really, it’s a brand new car!!! Above all I am pregnant and this entire situation was very stressful and emotional. I will not purchase here again and I will not recommend this dealership. I will say, that I do love Hyundai cars and will purchase another one in the future. This facility, however will not get my business again. Granted there were some situations that were unforeseen by both parties, however, after all the work up and stress and them patronizing me and at the ends of the day not getting any special deals or considerations. I just a lot of stress and a car purchase at MSRP. I would rather send my friends to Mars for a car than Eckert Hyundai.

review about the repairs, not sales: I had been to this location a few weeks ago trying to find out what was wrong with my sonata hybrid. I figured it was because of recalls so I told them that, found out I needed a new coupler (I only have 84,000 miles and I already need a new coupler when my brothers car has 240,000 miles on his Kia Sorento and he never had to change his coupler, so I guess poor quality part?) & they would charge me $325. Back then I thought it was pricey so I didnt go through with it. Still have the problem so I called two different Hyundai locations around me, one being this one and the other being the Hyundai dealership in Carrollton. After calling both locations Eckert gave me a cheaper price by a large margin as the Carrollton location would of charged me $457 (he said its a 3-hour job so most of it is because of labor & that the coupler itself was a $10 part). So I called Eckert & the guy told me they would charge me $329 (they would of charged me $325 before ??) saying it would take 3-hours blah blah. I figured $329 is better than $457, so I schedule an appointment for later in the afternoon. I get there 2:45pm & they put my car in the shop. I get my car back around 3:45pm. At first I was happy that I didnt have to stay for 3 hours but looking back on it now, I essentially payed 2 hours of labor for nothing. So I checked my receipt and they have labor as $295.00, parts as $1.95, & shop supplies as $25.76. Checking vidoes of how to repair "Hyundai Sonata steering noise," charging $25.76 for "shop supplies" is total BS & I hardly think it would take a full 3-hours. Also they left a grease stain on my passanger seat so thats cool too. Maybe I paid the extra $200 for that. I give two stars because the staff are friendly (maybe because theyre happy to take my money?) & I needed to get it over with it and they were available to take care of it. TL;DR: (I have a Sonata, I dont know if its the same for other models) dont go to a dealership to repair a steering coupler replacement. if you have some experience with working with cars you can easily do it yourself with the aid of YouTube videos. the coupler part itself is "56315-2K000-FFF"

Three stars for a few reasons. Although not huge problems, the culmination of them was irritating after driving an hour to get to a dealership with decent reviews. 1. Drove up. Was greeted fairly quickly. He just stared at me and saying hello instead of asking how he could help or why I was there. 2. I said I had an appointment for an oil change. He asked if there were any other problems (which I described), I said yes and that I could address them on my next visit. Didnt ask what kind of oil I would like (synthetic, semi or regular), didnt ask if I had a viscosity preference, didnt ask for my keys (I usually keep them in my pocket because of my push start) which I walked off with, realized and came back with them, and didnt tell me how long it was going to take (I went back out to ask) or where I should wait. I just think these are good starter questions that should be asked. 3. My car was parked outside waiting to be serviced for half an hour. I normally wouldnt really mind, but the appointment was made to cater to my time frame for that afternoon. And two other cars went in that came in 15 or 20 minutes after mine. 4. This is just silly and doesnt effect my rating. The information was wrong. Not only wrong name, address, phone number, etc., but also the basic information about my car. Cant you tell its a manual and not an auto? Come on now, these are my records and Id like the correct information on them. They somehow stated pretty close to their 45 minute window. Took about 55. Everything, so far, is good after leaving. Might go back, might not.

After spending a majority of the day traveling from dealership to dealership and putting up with pushy, standoffish people and high pressure situations, I can not explain what a welcomed respite walking into Eckert Hyundai was. My sales associate and point of contact was Bryan Custer, and he did a great job of being informative and treating me like an actual person -- not just a part of his commission. Bryan and his team did a great job of figuring out what I wanted and what I was able to afford, while never becoming pushy. Every option was followed up by a no-pressure test drive of the vehicle and complete transparency and honesty in regards to any questions I had (and trust me, I fact checked him.) By the end of the day, it felt as if the people at Eckert Hyundai were working for me and doing all they could to find me a car that would make me happy. Not only did I find a car that I fell in love with, I also got an amazing deal that Ive tried to and cant find elsewhere! Normally this would be enough for me to recommend them to anyone. What impressed me even further is the fact that Bryan has contacted me since my purchase to ensure I was happy with the vehicle, and welcomed me to get in touch with him should I ever have any questions. Whether this is your first car purchase or your thirty-first, I recommend you go to Eckert Hyundai and ask for Bryan. I assure you, even if you dont wind up making a purchase, hell do his best to make sure you have a great experience!
