Before this past week I had nothing bad to say about Bill Utter Ford. The turn around time was and is good and I was pleased to have my car back quickly. However, I have doubts about how honest the service department is. I took my car in because the all dreaded wrench light came on (and I also needed an oil change). I was told over the phone that it would cost me $95 for them to diagnose the issue, which I was fine with. I was later called and told that there was a problem when my transmission was trying to go into 4th. (I had noticed some issues when trying to accelerate which I was originally going to have them check on). I was told that they did not know the cause of this issue, just that I could pay $600 to have them tear it apart to find the problem (which could possibly lead to more costs), or replace the transmission entirely. I felt somewhat pressured into just replacing it-better warranty, faster turnaround, possibly less money spent-so that is what I did. I was told that I would get a NEW transmission. Two days later I called to see if my car would be ready as I was told previously. I was told that it would be ready late that evening. As Hertz closes at 6, I got there a little before to make sure I could get the rental back. I was never actually called when my car was ready for me to pick up. When I got there, the person I was dealing with had already left so I had to speak to someone else who had no idea what/why they did what they did to my car. The ONLY person that was truly nice to me was the lady at the checkout counter. Everyone else treated me like I was some dumb young woman who just needed to learn not to ask questions. The issues: I was charged $140 for diagnosis on my car after I was told it would be $95. I was NEVER told that the transmission had a LEAK (as written on my receipt). Had I known this I am not sure I would have chosen to replace the whole thing. I was given a RE-MANUFACTURED transmission after I was told I would be getting a NEW one. It may be new to me, but that doesnt make it new. Lastly, I was told that there is a 3 year unlimited mile warranty on this replacement transmission, however that is not on my receipt and I would like that in writing before I actually believe it. It is over and done with now, but I felt that others should know how I was treated. This is VERY out of character for Bill Utter and I understand they have been extremely busy but that is no excuse. I will never use the same person that assisted me this time. As for my cars performance, it seems to be okay so far, but I have only had it back for a day so we will see.

I recently got a new job and wanted to get a new F250. First place I went to was Bill Utter ford to see 2016 F250 they had with intentions of going to other dealerships to find the best price and truck. I pulled into the dealership, parked my truck and walked on over to the F250 parked out front. In about 5 minutes or so Thomas Larabee saw me looking around and approached me. Told Thomas my situation and from there he was extreamly helpful narrowing down and getting me in the right truck I wanted with all the options I wanted. We test drove all different types of F250s and narrowed it down to one. We came back into his office and worked out the numbers. I still wasnt sure about buying the truck after the end of the day. Not only did I not get pressured in any way about buying the truck but they let me drive the truck for a whole week just to make sure Its the right truck for me. Not to mention, without signing any paperwork at all before letting me drive it for a week. They took my word in good faith that I would not be doing this if I had no intentions of buying the F250. What other dealership takes a person at his or her word and drive a $60,000 truck for a whole week without any restrictions on them and they have to option to walk away from it all? This really put into terms how Bill Utter Ford, the Sales Director and Thomas Larabee treats customers. Bill Utter Ford truly wants customers to feel at ease buying any vechical without feeling pressured into buying something not for them and this really put the nail in the coffin when they did this. Thomas Larabee is the guy to come to at Bill Utter Ford. He was fanatic in helping me throughout the process and helping me find the truck that was what I wanted. Now I am a proud owner of a 2016 F250 Lariet, a loyal customer to Bill Utter Ford and will only be going to Thomas Larabee to buy any of my trucks from now on.

I made a visit to Bill Utter out of curiosity in buying a Ford Mustang within a year or so. I wanted to get all the information i could get so I wouldnt have to go through such a hassle when its time to get the car. Within 5 minutes of walking around checking out the Mustangs they had parked out front, Thomas Leebara came and introduced himself. He was the kindest, respectful and straight forward person Id met at a dealarship. I told him what was going on and he treated me with great respect even though I wasnt getting a car that day. We talked about the different types of mustangs and of course price differences with no rush. He worked very well with what I wanted laying out options for me to choose from. Also told me he could possible get the exact mustang I wanted after looking around other places. I got to drive 2 different types and it made a big difference in my judgement. He was very caring and respectful of the situation and even keeps me updated on cars he comes across that I might have a interest in. There was no hassele, no forcing, just a smooth transaction of information. He even told me the best options in leasing and trading in my current mustang. Hes great! Ive never met a sales associate like him and I will be continuing my business with him in buying a car within a year or less. Im so glad I came across this guy! Thanks Thomas and Bill utter!

We bought our last two Fords at a dealership in Lewisville, but always had service done at Bill Utter, so we decided to meet with them about a new vehicle. I didnt really have realistic expectations regarding the cost of a new vehicle, but really enjoyed all the time we spent with the salesperson. They let me test drive two different cars, each overnight to make sure they fit in my garage and that I liked them. Once I realized I couldnt get what I wanted for my budget, we visited the dealership wed previously bought from and they were complete jerks (not sure why since we were repeat customers!) After that terrible experience, I told my husband that I wanted to go back to Bill Utter Ford to meet with the salesman who helped me (Kim Payne), and he was happy to have me back and happy to help me run the numbers on the car I wanted (but now had more realistic expectations.) I didnt have to negotiate, he just brought me his best price from his sales manager right off the bat and was really pleasurable to deal with. I feel like I got a fantastic deal on a great car and hes earned my business on any future vehicle purchases. I would refer anyone to go see Kim. He even called me the following Monday to make sure that I still liked my car and to thank me and say to let him know if I needed anything else.
