Ive bought nearly every bike I have ever owned since I was a little kid at the Pedal. In 2011 I bought a specialized 26 rock-hopper there and then started bike commuting to work and basically riding all over corpus whenever possible (pulled off a month last year without buying a single gallon of gas). I thoroughly enjoy thrashing the hell out of my bike, so Ive had a lot of bent rims, flat tires and busted components over the years and these guys have never been anything less than total professionals. HONEST. They explain what needs to be explained, they dont harass you or subject you to high pressure sales tactics. Likewise, I see a couple of the guys who work there riding all over town so you know they are street seasoned bike vets practicing the riding lifestyle they promote. Now Ive got the upgrade bug and Im having them throw some high end components on my baby and I could not be happier with the service, care and professional advice these guys provide. This is the best bicycle shop in South Texas hands down.

I kinda hate going here, needed to get some pedals replaced. nobody says anything when you walk in, no body. one guy was just staring at a chain breaker for a while as I was standing at the counter. had to do all the work myself, the guy I talked to didnt seem to know much about bikes and kinda acted confused about everything, I said whats up to the guys in the back not one of them said anything or acknowledged (which I dont mind). uncomfortable vibes like that one guy said felt unwelcome, no pride in their work space everything was a mess kind what I was expecting. terrible seeing this from my home town and bike shop thats been around for years. I dont know how you could have good service here unless you personally know one of them or if you walk in with a child. another time one of the guys charged me five dollars just to put a chain on which I dont think is standard when you purchase a chain

I recently went to the Pedal Shop looking for a bicycle and shortly after my family and I walked through the door we were greeted by Sam the owner. He took very good care of us and fitted my little boy with a helmet and found what size bicycle would best fit me. It had been a long time since I had been to a bike shop and it was nothing less than what I would expect. A knowledgeable and friendly staff including Lee who showed me how to use my new bike with all of the new bells and whistles that I had never seen before. I saw many people bring many different bikes into the shop and I listened to the staff explain what they could do to fix each problem but not once during my three visits there so far did I hear anyone try to sell a bicycle to someone that came in for a repair.

Went there to have have two sets of wheels trued and have my Ksyrium SLs that were about 8 years old fully inspected because I had never actually had the bike into the shop ( I do just about everything on a bike myself except the wheels ). They didnt charge me for the wheels that didnt actually need any work and the work cost was reasonable. Work was done in a good amount of time and they had no problem holding onto the wheels for a while until I was back in town

Bought a custom S-Works Venge from these guys back in 2012 and from the ordering process to assembly, they were always extremely helpful and up front with the process. On multiple occasions they invited me back to the workshop to show me the bike throughout the whole project and I always felt reassured by their professional knowledge. The bike has thousands of miles on it now and is still going strong. Great shop.

My experience at the Pedal was very disappointing. I simply wanted to get my Schwinn Road Bike fixed but the old man, who is the owner with the white hair and fake teeth, was very rude and disrespectful. I was told by him personally that my bike wasnt worth $20. He didnt care to want my business and wanted me to leave his store. I strongly recommend not going there.

Took my 29er in for some brake work after making an appointment the previous week. They were done in 30 minutes and it cost under $15 for the service. I watched the whole process and they were both professional and courteous to me and my bike. Will return for any service I dont feel too confident doing myself.

EXCELLENT service. So helpful and super speedy repair. Thats saying a lot since they dont even sell Marin bikes, which is what I needed fixed (back wheel replaced due to broken spokes). All the employees were nice. Kudos to Lee for getting that wheel including, gears and disc brake, repaired in 10 minutes.

Despite what Google says The Pedal is open from 9am - 7pm Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm on Saturday and closed on Sunday. Lots of sales going on now and a huge selection of bicycles and accessories. Awesome shop, you wont be disappointed.

They were amazing help when selecting a new bike. They spent hours helping me pick the right bike. Once you purchase a bike they also provide a free fit to the bike so its as comfortable as possible. I will definitely be going back!

I went into the Pedal looking to get a repair on my bicycle(granted it is twelve years old) and they told me that it was not worth their time to fix, and only wanted to sell me a new $1700 bicycle. I will not return.

This place is a joke. Let me put it this way I live a block away and I would rather drive 30 min away in Corpus Christi trafic then go to the pedal bicycle shop.
