First off, let me start by saying the store isnt my issue here. I enjoy shopping here and I love how helpful the employees of this establishment are. Now for the real issue, the grooming salon. I took my beautiful white miniature schnauzer to get a cut here and was very unhappy. I spoke with a girl named Alex, who ensured me that everyone there is trained in doing specialty cuts. Megan, the manager, cut my dogs hair and let me just say, it was horrendous. I knew something was off when I picked up my dog and I didnt notice until I got home that she completely butchered my dogs hair. I asked for a schnauzer cut and what I got was nothing like what a schnauzer is suppose to look like. There were short patches here and there on top of places where it didnt even look like she bothered to cut anything. There were long pieces and very short pieces around all four of his legs and what really pissed me off is her chopping his beard up. I told her specifically to not cut his beard, just trim the ends. Clearly the employees here are not well, if not at all, trained for specialty cuts period. And if there was, Alex failed to tell me so. I was very upset and spoke with manager on duty at the time, to which she gave me a full refund. I dont recommend anyone take their dog here for anything to do with specialty grooming. Now I have to wait for my precious little guys hair to grow in order to fix the damage Megan did to my dogs hair. Thank you for the poor quality and service.

I took my cat in who had lost drastic weight and was very sick. The doc ran bloodwork that indicated a liver problem but still insisted that it could be other things even tho in my limited knowledge all signs pointed to hepatitus. They the referred me to an internist to the tune of $1200 a visit, and reccomended a $600 overnight stay, after my wife being laid off recently this was simply not an option, luckily the vet clinin Animal Imaging in Irving we were referred to for a biopsy didnt hesitate and put us on a course of action. The Banfield staff would still have us running tests or Id have a dead cat had it not been for the staff at AIs dilligence. Not to mention they did many of the same procedures at less than half the cost. If we hadnt insisted on going with treatment I would be out over $2,000 and probably have a dead pet anyway. Im not happy to say the least. They will make you run tests until youre broke when the proper thing to do is go with the best info and start treatment. I wont be going back.

IRVING TX ON BELTLINE RD PET SMART I am a repeated customer I always go there I never had a problem until that day that I went everybodys different I like my fish to be different I dont like my fish to look the same she had a attitude the manager was no help he act like he didnt care so he made her get the fish that I want it still wasnt the right fish I dont want to see her after how rude she was he should have took care of me and they didnt even apologize they had a very bad attitude I hate this place I will definitely go to another different Pet Place horrible service and I know that they probably think a fish is a fish but but its going home with me and its my pet

The selection is small. The vet is overpriced. The register is really slow. Pleasant but really slow. And the room is laid out badly. You cant see down the isles from the outside. You cant see the animals from outside. All you can see is pet beds stacked up against the window and likely a line at the register. From outside there is nothing drawing you in and once you are in its no more impressive. The reason pet stores sold kittens and puppies was to draw people in. You can buy dog food online where it costs less and you dont have to load it into the car or carry it into the house. These kinds of stores are going to end up going under.

Would rate higher but have had mixed experiences. Ladies in grooming were absolutely great with my dog who was abused by previous owners. They were patient and understanding going out of their way to calm him down even letting me escort him to the back where they wash dogs so he would know its ok. Second time the gentleman working just grabbed him and abruptly handled him. I had explained previously I had walked him to the back. Was told that is against policy as they whisked him away with him shaking uncontrollably. I understand that you can only do so much to calm dogs but they didnt even attempt to be patient with him.

Mmmm..this is my first time rating something I might never will again but I think who does rate these stores has nothing to do in their life...It's a pet store, geezzzz..like the one that was complaining about the length of the store..were u actually taking your time to see how long it took you to find things..lol ..so ridiculous...and the one talking about the grooming...well take your dog to the manicure and then to your hair stylist and maybe they can make your dog to looks like you...no wondering dogs are so unhappy with you because dogs are just dogs and they re not people....

Never take your dog here to get groomed. I paid for the furminator and for them to trim her down. I come to pick her up and they completely shaved her down to less than half an inch! I was mortified. Why would I pay for the furminator and then shave her afterwards? What were they thinking? You are never supposed to shave an Australian shepherd due to their double coat to never grow back fully. The store is fine and the employees are nice but I have never seen such incompetence from a dog grooming salon.

Always enjoy taking pups shopping. They usually o my have one cashier during the slow times of the day but it doesnt bother me as the pups socialize lol. A last today was so upset as she felt she needed the right to hop to the front of the line. We let her just to get her out of the store. The cashier was a bit rattled by the woman but we all ensured he the woman was just a brat....in kind words

I love this place. I have been several times, and the staff has been very friendly and helpful on each occasion. They always take the time to answer all my questions. And when I take my puppy in the store everyone is nice to him. ...... A great place to go shopping for your pet.

Banfield in this Petsmart is VERY SLOW! We were there for 2.5 hours in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday - for a routine puppy checkup and shots. I spent 30 minutes after seeing the vet waiting for the assistants to check me out.

Not a bad location. Everything is very clean and well-kept. Ive been in there multiple times and have been completely ignored by the staff, so expect to have to seek someone out if you need help!

Got a wonder dog. Been to this Addison store about 5 times with tons of questions. Staff, manager, and grooming have all been patient and knowledgeable. Feels good!!
