I went there yesterday looking for a cat litter box that I had been researching online. It was priced at 134.99. I was happy to fine the exact litter box I had decided to buy, in their store. When I noticed the price, I thought there had been a mistake so I sought out a clerk. I asked the clerk why the price of the box in the store was priced 55.00 more than what the Petco website had shown and he very cavalierly said that, "thats just the way it was". I was shocked at his callous statement and attitude. Why would a store charge 55.00 more for the exact same product is beyond me. I think that is such deceitful thing to do to and I will not spend my hard earned money with a company like that. If I could have given less than 1 star I would have.

Some of the employees try but all in all this is a very lackluster petstore. Many of the reptiles are in poor health and in improper environments. If you come in early enough you can watch them scooping out the dead fish (daily). The birds almost always are in need of nail trims. Id rather take my business to a store that cares about more than cutting corners and making a huge profit. Last time I came in there were only two people working in the store and I had to dig to find one of them so I could check out. The manager has the worst customer service Ive ever experienced and is so unknowledgeable about her own products.

Recently My Wife and I visited this Petco and was purchasing stuff for our Red ear Slider Turtle weve had for about ten or eleven years . We found some water purifier drops to help keep the water clean , cause it didnt say on the bottle . We asked one of the sales ladies if you could add drops while the turtle is still in it. She told us it was safe to add drops while the turtle is still in the water , well we did just that and it killed our turtle. Well not only are we sad about the lose but our 7 year old Grand Daughter is hurt, as for me Im pretty well pissed about the false information she gave us about the drops!

Terrible. Bought a guinea pig, which seemed perfectly healthy at the time of purchase, and it ended up having a mite infection just one week later. Mite infections develop in the store, not your home, so it is Petcos fault. However, unless you go through the Vet that THEY contract with, they will offer no reimbursement whatsoever. Although this is clear on the receipt, I feel like any health problem that your pet gets from the store should be taken responsibility for BY the store. Especially within a week. Very disappointed with the customer service and unwillingness to offer any compensation.

Just got a bunch of cat treats for the shelter kitties. Employee Shelley was so rude. She completely ignored me when I stepped up to the register. She walked off not even acknowledging me and told the guy behind me she can help him on a different register. The guy was nice enough to still let me go first. Before the transaction was done she said in her monotone robot voice "have a nice day good bye" as fast as she could. There are plenty of unemployed people who would love and appreciate a job. Its people like Shelley that put shame into animal jobs. She shouldnt work with people.

This place is awful. A employee walked over to me today after I simply just took a picture of an animal they had displayed in their store. (A lot of people were doing it in the store at the time as well, I felt there was no problem, considering there were no signs posted) I feel as if they treat their animals as nothing more than "products". They had way too many ferrets held in a small enclosure, as well as birds. Thats not healthy for the animals, they looked deprived.

Absolutely worst store I have ever been into in my entire life I came in there to get food for my new baby turtle and the sales associate that was assisting me was so rude her name was Bailey Bailey was so rude it was sickening she was not helpful really and I could tell that she wasnt real fun of colored people the way I was treated by the entire staff at this particular Petco with absolutely ridiculous I will never come back.

We take our pooch to be groomed here. For the most part, it has been a good experience. But we just picked him up and, when we got him home, his cut was patchy. They didnt trim his face. The razor burned him in 3 places - his rectum, where his testicles had been and in the curve between his stomach and penis. The only reason I gave them one point was that they gave us our money back.

I so prefer petsmart to petco, for a couple of reasons. First, at petco, everything costs more. Sometimes, a lot more, like 10-20% more. Thats ridiculous. Also, at petco, I always get stuck in line and service is so slow. The only good thing about the petco in Greenville is the Cherrydale location, which is sometimes convenient. Overall, though, I avoid it for the most part.

Do not waste your money on deshedding here. Although they were excellent at comforting my little dog while trimming her nails, strands of hair was flying off of my big dog when we came to pick him up. We understand you cant get all the hair off but the amount of hair thats still getting on the rugs and comforter is no better than before.

Used to go here to pet the cats all the time. Now they wont even let you open the cage of the cat. You have to just try to stick your fingers through the holes. Its really sad. The cats never get pet. Also brought my cat for a shave. They were really nice to her but she turned out really ugly.

In my experience there are a few employees there that are respectful, the nutritionist is great, so is the trainer, but there are many employees that are extremely unpleasant, rude and seem unconcerned with their job. I wouldnt advise this store to ANYONE.

Dog treat bar is an absolute must especially if your dog has a corn, wheat or soy allergy... Nearly half of the treats are grain free or made from alternative flours like sweet potato or rye... Our sweet potato pooch just loves it..!

Went there today for pictures with Santa with my greys. The ladies were extremely nice and very patient with my pups who were being a little uncooperative. They did a great job, and got a wonderful picture for us! Thanks again!

I go here often. You can find all of your supplies for your pet. There a little more expensive than others though. The staff is friendly but seems to be understaffed especially in the specialty areas. All in all good place

I went in for an enclosed cat litter box thinking there would be a huge selection since they specialize in things for Pets. What few they had were hidden on a low shelf in the back. I bought one elsewhere.
