Went to this store last Friday and they had dead fish in the aquariums and the reptiles looked really bad. We asked about a few snakes and having a few myself I know a bit about them. The guy that handles and maintains the snakes failed to mention that ALL of the snakes had mites. There is one snake that has a very very bad shed going on and they say is being treated but clearly is not. We went back the following day only for another sales person to tell us that the snakes had mites and came from the breeder that they are buying from (a possibility I know but in my opinion not likely because they wouldnt want to ruin their name). Also if Im not mistaken if all of your snakes have mites then the rest of your retires probably do to. As a whole I would never buy anything from this store but would be more than glad to take all the snakes from them just to get them away from this place.

These are excellent, caring people who run a quality establishment. Theyve enabled me to take good care of my dogs for the last 10+ years. Most recently, due to Amazon lying about their shipping speed and not getting me my online order in time, I ran out of puppy food. When I went to Saluda and informed them of the situation and asked for a recommendation, they provided me 2 meals-worth of free samples to tide me over...meant so much to me that I bought a toy from them, which is still in-tact (quite a statement given that we have an 80 lb Great Dane puppy). Very helpful, great customer service. Im a customer for life.

Wow ! dead or dying animals everywhere. Fish tanks are full of dead or dying fish and dirty and the reptiles are the same just awful.If your a animal lover dont even look its that bad. One employee apologized for the dead fish floating in the tanks but did nothing. The staff is friendly but lazy and its obvious they dont care about there animals. I know there fish supplier and they deliver good fish but you cant keep them that way in a dirty toilet. Very sad.

They have a great selection of high quality pet food, like Natural Balance, Canidae, and Solid Gold. But, I dont think Ill be going back. The employees seemed to care more about their pizza and what was going on online rather than acknowledging me, their customer. I even said thank you...but they did not. Even though the store carries great products, good customer service goes a long way. This is an area that needs work.

Great Store! I came in browsing for supplies for my new fish aquarium, and the staff was so helpful. I was told how to properly maintain my new aquarium, as well as how to add the proper nutrients to the water, and even how often to feed my fish. Its nice to get assistance from knowledgeable people in this store, that genuinely seem to care.

The associates are really nice. The place is a bit pricey but otherwise the items here are worth it. Went with my sister in law and mother in law to get my S-I-Ls puppy a new bottom for his crate. They didnt have the size needed but the price was cheaper than Pet smart. Wish they wouldve had the correct size.

Several years ago they used to have cats and dogs also. I was a little disappointed that that seems to no longer be true. I adopted a female gerbil. She is great. The lady at the front seemed to be scared to handle her though. I will come again. They have a large selection of small animal supplies.
