#HoboIsLost #HoboIsMissing What an awful experience. My pet was sold to someone else. Beware! If you or someone you know bought a guinea pig from PetSmart in Whitehall Plaza on the west side of Bloomington, Indiana on this past Saturday, March 26th, please contact Chris Skow on Facebook! Follow #HoboIsLost. Shes a brown baby Abyssinian with a small bald spot on the top of her head. She may be sick, some sneezing and a crusty nose from a bacterial upper respiratory infection not properly treated. You may be surprised at the reward offered for this safe return of this adorable little rodent. I really need to get the names of these people out there, so wherever they work, people know not to trust their word. Especially when it comes to something as important as our pets, who are family for so many of us. David Harshey, the store manager at PetSmart here in Bloomington who facilitated all this, and then basically told us, "Ah well, well toss ya a new guinea pig, on the house." April Stewart, the manager who posted about our craziness on Facebook after she sold our pet then kicked Holly out of the store when she freaked. I dont have last names for Carie, the customer service manager who is more concerned with her vacation than customer service, Jason, the assistant manager who gave us all sort of updates and kind words and reassurances but did nothing to ensure wed actually get out pet back, and Kyle, who claimed to be a manager but really isnt at all. For all those saying we got a refund for Hobo, you are right, we did. We questioned this, but were told that in order to treat Hobo, she had to be in PetSmarts possession, and that the refund was nothing more than a formality we didnt have to worry about. We were assured and reassured and at no time was there a question that we were talking about MY pet, if there was, we would have brought her to the same vet her sisters go to. We were blatantly lied to, then only told by the store manager after she was sold to another party that his entire management staff shouldnt have told me I could have her back. Damn right im blasting the management at PetSmart in Bloomington, Indiana. They are dishonest, untrustworthy people I wouldnt trust to bag my groceries, never mind care for a loved family member. I cant believe they would refuse to contact the new owners and at least let me try to work something out with them, if not doing what they should and taking full responsibility for this and doing whatever is necessary to make up for such horrible treatment of their customers and the loved animals they are entrusted to care for.

Friendly staff but, watch them like a hawk. I trusted the vet and my kitten died just a few hours after the appointment. We adopted our kitten from a shelter when she was just six weeks old. Just a few days later she started showing symptoms of an upper respiratory infection, a fairly common diagnosis. We took her to the vet because we wanted our baby to be happy and healthy. Admittedly, she was underweight and had fleas/ear mites but, we were feeding her and she was too young/small for most treatments. Before the appointment, she had been fairly responsive and happy even with her yucky nose. The vet wanted to put her on an antibiotic for the URI and two different flea treatments. We specifically asked if the meds would be all right for our kitten since she was only seven weeks old and underweight. She blatantly lied and said that Advantage Multi was okay for our kitten, even specifically saying it was approved from week seven. They gave her half doses of all of the meds since she was underweight. After the vet, she was barely responsive but, we thought it was just because she was tired. She started having seizures about an hour after we left the vet. Banfield was already closed and the only place we found that had 24 hour emergency services was in Beech Grove (one hour, fifteen minute drive). An hour into the drive our kitten died in my boyfriends arms. They did fax us paperwork after her death admitting that our kitten was younger and smaller than the drug manufacturers recommendations for usage. They apologized and refunded our money for "good will" purposes but, that will not bring our baby girl back.

So you walk in the door... and the staff just smiles an stares at you... makes you feel really weird. I took my chinese shar pei to the groomers twice and each time was a terrible terrible experience. You walk in the door and the groomers will just be staring at you.. no Hi or smile or anything. You have to spark up the conversation. I pay nearly $40 and get my dog back almost no different than when I brought her. You would think that a dog would smell good after having a bath but she smelled just as bad as before the bath. I think they literally just run water over them and thats it. MOST IMPORTANTLY: each time I have gotten my dog back, she has gotten sick. The first time she gets in my car and blood is coming out of her butt. The second time I bring her home and she just pukes endlessly. Each time she has got some kind of parasite that has cost me an ugly $200 vet bill. Needless to say, not a clean place. I wont be bringing my dog back, even just to visit.

The woman at the cash register was rude. I tried returning a harness I bought for my 90 pound, full grown, outdoor Husky. My dog is destructive which I mentioned when I initially came in to buy the harness. I asked the employees if the harness I purchased would be a good fit for him and all they said was "it should be, I think." It wasnt good. My dog ripped it within 2 days. When returning the harness, the woman insinuated that I was returning an old harness and kept saying "this looks very dirty for only having it for two days." I then tried to explain to her again that my dog is an outside dog and likes to dig holes, which is why it was muddy. She just kept saying "its too dirty, but I guess Ill let it slide this time." The employees are condescending and dont seem to be trained well enough on what their products are actually for. They lack understanding and hospitality. Ill be shopping at Petco from now on.

I really like Dr. Pinkerton. Shes honest, straight-forward, caring, and knowledgeable. However, one day I had the boyfriend take our dog in and the OTHER vet was there. She tried to prescribe all these unnecessary medications, shampoos, and tests!! There used to the be this REALLY AWESOME front desk girl working there. Dont remember her name, she got pregnant and I think doesnt work there anymore, but the new people are pretty terrible. They didnt use the phone number I gave them one day when I dropped off my dog, they accused me of not showing up to an appointment one day when I had called and cancelled, etc. I mostly go here for the wellness plan, which is really convenient for me. But, Dr. Pinkerton is great.

First of all, I know people who work here. They work very hard, especially the groomers & bathers. I find many members of the staff to be very friendly! Dorothea is exceptional! Maybe if youre being stared at you shouldnt go there in your pajamas with neon green & pink hair? Or maybe they are not sure how to address you because they cant determine which gender you might be? AWKWARD! Also, Petsmart does not sell cats, the animal shelter has them there & Petsmart is not allowed to do anything for them! If your dog gets sick from the stress of going to be groomed maybe it should stay home! And maybe Shar-Peis stink because THEYRE SHAR-PEIS!! #HoboIsMissing #HoboIsLost is bull crap #HoboIsBetterOff
