Usually a good selection of fresh fruits & veggies. Prices for apples are consistently low, but other items can be more expensive than other stores in the area. Checkout can be slow depending on when you go. They have two self-checkout kiosks, which are nice, but you cant use them if youre doing a full shopping trip. I actually liked their checkout system better when they had everyone funneled into a single line and then would direct you to the next available checkout counter - was actually faster than the current "guess which line is faster" system.

Standard super market. There is a solid selection of organic/gluten free options. Prices are fine, selection of products is good, more obscure items can be difficult to come by. Lines are often long on the weekends and Ive bagged my own groceries numerous times. Go early because they can sometimes run low on standard items like bagged lettuce.

Good shopping experience but forget trying to checkout in a hurry. Theres always a line and only two auto check lab machines that no one monitors so if there is a problem you stand around waiting forever for them to clear it. The checkout experience is so bad I often avoid shopping here. Otherwise, every other aspect of the store is great.

We found everything we wanted. Cashier and bagger were silent, not friendly. We said thank you to both, the bagger grumbled, your welcome, barely heard. My husband is sixty nine, I am sixty. These young women need to show they are grateful to have a job and put on a smile to represent Hannaford! Deli department was friendly!

Friday after work- so many people are shopping. There are never enough check out lanes open. The lines are very long. So if im buying ice cream, i bring a cooler inside. (Yeah, its a little ridiculous). And they only have 2 self checkouts. That is my experience at the west lebanon nh store.

Its always super crowded, and yesterday while I was there with my three-year-old, the bagger, (I think her name was Eliza) kept giving my daughter dirty and rolling her eyes at the cashier, all because my child wasnt standing still... Ill go to Shaws the workers there are at least nice.

If you are in the Hanover, NH or White River Junction area, then Hannfords is by far the best shopping experience in the area. The fruits and veggies are always fresh and clean. The store is always clean. The employees are always super friendly.

So I have compared prices to all the local competition and Hannafords beats them all. Usually by a considerable amount. If you havent started shopping here you should. I save about $40 a week which adds up.
