I usually dread going to the grocery store - but every single time I go to this Big Y I always have SUCH a nice experience! Their produce is fresh and they always have a really good selection of regular grocery items - especially for babies and toddlers. They always have exactly what Im looking for - and I love that. Also - what makes this place exceptionally awesome is their customer service. Every time I go to check-out theres a register ready and waiting for me. Always a clean conveyor belt and always a smiling face at the register. Im always treated with kindness by the cashier and the bagger and they say "Have a nice day" and I feel like they actually MEAN it! Also - I was throwing a gender reveal party for my sister in law and needed some floral blooms for some DIY centerpieces we were doing. Local florist didnt have carnations or babys breath (what?!) but I called Big Y - got to speak to a person right away in the floral department and she was super sweet and helpful AND had exactly what I was looking for and set it aside for me to pick up! This place does not disappoint. Most Big Ys are generally great - but this one is BY FAR my favorite - and my favorite place to shop. Sure I might pay a little more than I would at Walmart in Ware, but its completely worth it to have such great customer service and to purchase good quality produce and grocery items. I always ring the bell for good service when I leave here! Thanks Big Y Palmer!!

The lady who works floral in Palmer during the day constantly hits on my fiance, even if myself or my daughter are present. My hubby agrees. Once, She read a private card that said "Im sorry" and commented to him " are you a bad boy?!!". She has brown curly hair,glasses,looks like 47 yr old and used to live in Florida.She mentioned to my family how my fiance was a "younger version of a man she dated in Florida". The next time I learn her name, Ill announce it to all. She Didnt notice me on Xmas Eve when my fiance & our daughter were buying flowers for family.she was too eager,and too lonly,and very desperate.i cant wait to get her fired.shes a nasty gross pervert. A home breaker.she should work in meat,since shes so familiar with the pig family., related even.,

Shopping at the Palmer Big Y is always an adventure. Check your receipt before leaving. On a "Senior Tuesday" I purchased several steaks that had the Silver discount listed on the price tags. However, for whatever reason they charged me full price. Luckily, I noticed and went back to the courtesy desk and they refunded me $28. I also noticed that on the same day ALL of the packaged salads were close to expiration. Im wondering if Big Y is using "Senior Tuesdays" to get rid of some of their items close to expiration and they figure many seniors wont notice.

Again! Screw the customer on a posted sale! Hormel boneless chops buy one get two... And doesnt ring up at register... Clerk wont approve the sale... They say its a different chop..... Those were the ONLY chops! And clerk being very rude as if I was trying to pull a fast one and then pissy because I dont want to pay $19 for them

I have been shopping at big y for so long that I know almost everyone that works there. They are like family. So very helpful and very pleasant. And I always seem to buy more then what I went in for because I always seem to run into a sale that I cant pass up. Thank you for being there

The Belchertown Big Y is above average. They have a great selection but also at a slightly higher price. The staff is friendly and the store is clean. There is also an Ocean State Job Lot in the same plaza so they get points for convenience.

Always clean. Great variety of products and choices. Employees are friendly and professional. My daughter loves the shopping carts that look like cars so she can enjoy shopping too. Redemption center on site. Overall a good Big Y!

Chicken was not priced and when the meat clerk was notified he had an attitude, grabbed only two packages when it was half the display unlabeled and stomped off. And the chicken was on sale. Someones not doing their job

My experience to big y is great every time,. All staff is very attentive and curtious!! The presentation at the Deli always looks full and fresh!!!! The prices are outrageous but what a nice place!!!
