Lizz with Southern Protocol designed my May 2014 wedding. I was lucky enough to stumble on her name and thanked god daily for about 400 planning days that I had found her. She was always available when I needed her and frequently re-arranged her schedule to do full-day planning meetings with me and my mom, when my mom was able to be in town. Then, she and her team turned a family members back yard into a STUNNING wedding venue in only 48 hours...unbelievable! If you are planning a Charleston wedding, you can definitely use Southern Protocol with confidence that your day will be perfect! And to make things better...Southern Protocol now has a stunning boutique with walls of gorgeous dresses and engagement/registry items as well. I wish the boutique had been open when I was shopping for a dress! Now I just go for Kate Spade goodies and engagement gifts for friends :)

Without a doubt there is no need to shop for a wedding gown anywhere else.The selection of gowns is amazing. Instead of an overwhelming wall of white that all blend together and make for an exhausting experience you are greeted by high quality, unique and timeless choices. Lizz and Michelle went far, far, above and beyond to not only help me get the wedding dress of my dreams that was not available anywhere else in the area but also to make every moment special for my family and I. They were able to have the specific gown I requested rushed in time for my wedding when we moved our date forward, made sure the dress and veil fit me like a glove in a short amount of time and then hand delivered the gown to me. They made sure I felt like a princess and that the whole process was stress free. I could not have asked for a better experience.

After a terrible experience with my first wedding planner, Lizz and the entire Southern Protocol team took me in and showed me how its truly supposed to be done!! They 100% spoke my language and were able to give me the wedding of my dreams and remain within budget. The entire process was not only stress free, but so much fun with SoPro on my side!! These ladies have become more than just my wedding planners, they have become my friends. My one complaint is that I wish the Southern Protocol Boutique had been open when I was gown shopping ;) but I guess theres nothing to be done about that. The boutique is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and carries gowns for every type of bride!! Southern Protocol is THE only way to go for the Charleston Bride!

Southern Protocol was the first gown shop we went to and thank goodness for that! The gown selection there is beyond what I could have imagined. While the unique selection of gowns initially won me over, working with Michelle really set this boutique apart from other shops we visited. Michelle has extensive knowledge of the designers and each of their gowns. She made me feel so comfortable and cared for throughout the entire process. Her support and genuine desire to provide us with a fun and special experience during our appointment was incomparable to any other place. Im so thankful I learned about her shop and would absolutely recommend other brides to at least make it one of their stops! You will be so happy you did.

I absolutely adore Southern Protocol as both a wedding boutique and a planning service. Lizz of Southern Protocol planned my wedding to perfection. It would not have been the same without her. Their boutique is just as wonderful: beautifully designed, elegant, and true to their style. You can tell they really put their entire heart and soul into creating it. It is not only filled with gorgeous dresses, but with other thoughtful items such as accessories, handbags, and jewelry. All that I would want to own! She works so hard to make sure all bride appointments are memorable, fun and stress-free. She knows the important role she plays in a brides important day. I have been married for many years, but love to buy gifts and jewelry there as I know it will be unique, high quality and fashion-forward... We used Hannah from Southern Protocol as a wedding planner. We used the "partial event management" package. Hannah was incredible, especially week and day of. She not only assembled all 200 of our welcome bags but also delivered them to all of the hotels (over 15 hotels). She helped set everything up and break everything down for our wedding and was able to orchestrate and coordinate everything (guests, vendors, etc) during the ceremony/reception. We would recommend her to anyone looking to get married in Charleston.

I never knew so many fabulous details could come together so flawlessly (or at least that’s what Lizz made me think). First of all, the space is breathtaking right when you walk in. It feels elegant but so welcoming, and if this place had been open when I got married, its definitely where I would have been gown shopping! Luckily they have all sorts of other pretty surcees too, though, so its a great spot to stop in and pick up a few great gifts or treats for me. On top of all that, their event planning services are out of this world! Highly recommend!
