I had an AMAZING experience at the White Orchid!! I called at 9:45 asking for a 10:00 appointment and they took me right in. Vonnie is such a wonderful, sweet and knowledgeable woman and bridal consultant who made my dress shopping experience perfect. I was unable to have any family with me due to it being a last minute appointment and my Mom living in Ohio and my sister in Maryland. Vonnie was the perfect stand in as a mother and sister :-) We had so much fun together! After I tried on several dresses that were not exactly my dream dress,although beautiful, in comes Vonnie with a huge smile on her face and a beautiful golden/ivory Maggie Sottero dress in her hands called Karena Royale! I originally passed the dress up earlier in the appointment, but Vonnie being an amazing bridal consultant knew I had to try it on. I could not stop smiling. I must have stood in the dress for an hour smiling. Without hesitation, I said yes to the dress! I honestly cant thank Vonnie and the White Orchid enough for making my experience perfect!

They are extremely rude....Im a bridesmaid in a wedding, all the other girls and the bride went to try on a dress to see if we liked it, we had an appointment, after waiting 45min past the appointment time they started waiting on us. They made us feel like we did not matter to their business, when we werent sure about if we wanted to put the deposit down we were told that they had a lot of work to do and pretty much we were wasting their time, then the one sales lady muttered under her breath that that is why they should take deposits before sizing anyone...needless to say that was a big turnoff and we decided to take our business of 9 bridesmaid dress that would have brought them almost $2500 else where. This was the second time i have been there and the same thing happened they have ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE and THEY ARE OVER PRICED the same dress we wanted that was $260.00 we found for $150.00 somewhere else. I would not shop there or buy ur wedding gown there unless you wanted to be treated like that

After researching and looking through tons of bridal magazines, I knew what kind of dress I was looking for.. The minute I walked in I was greeted by vonnie with a huge smile and we discussed what style of dress I was looking for and how I wanted to look on my wedding day. I tried on several dresses ultimately leading to me finding the dress of my dreams! I left the store empty handed knowing I needed a night to know for sure this was the one. My consultant knew that I was going to another bridal store the following day, and they definitely were not upset by this. I went back the next day and got my dream dress! The owner Barbara is fantastic as well as Amy who assisted my second appointment. When I tried the dress on again they spent over an hour with me trying on different veils etc.. To sum it up the white orchid by far exceeded my expectations!!The staff were wonderful,friendly and gave their honest opinions on what works for you! I would recommend to any of my friends..!

The woman I spoke to on the phone was so nice, but when I actually went to my appointment, the woman I dealt with was rude. We were in the room trying on dresses and she asked if I had been to any other shops to try on dresses, when I began to answer her, all I got out was "Well I went to one other..." and was interrupted by her saying "You dont need to go into all of that." As if I was droning on and on! So I just stood there silently as she helped me into my dress. After it was on, she ordered me around to step up here, no move more that way, face this way, no turn around and look that way, you cant see it by doing that, try this. When I asked if I could look around at other dresses, I was told "No." When I asked why, she said their room was small but shed let me look around anyway since I was the only bride there. While back there, they had maybe 25 dresses to choose from. I actually want the dress I tried on there but am getting it from a different store because I will not go back here!

After viewing the website, I decided to stop in the store on my way home from work to see if they had a dress that I liked on the website. I didnt intend to try on any dresses that day, nor did I ask to... I simply wanted to know if the White Orchid had the designers dress that I liked so that I could make an appointment at a later date. Upon entering, the woman at the counter rudely sent me downstairs to the clearance rack to look for dresses. If that werent bad enough, when I asked if they had the dress, she verbally attacked me for not having an appointment. Im sorry, but I didnt realize that you needed an appointment to simply ask whether a dress was in stock or not. I will never return to that store because of how rudely I was treated. If Im paying upwards of a thousand dollars for a wedding dress, youd better treat me with a little more kindness.

I have been to the White Orchid on a number of occasions and find Nicoles experience incomprehensible. Not only have I always been treated with kindness and good humor, but my price range and needs have all been carefully considered by a very professional staff. After years of buying dresses for special occasions, I finally have a wedding for my son. The bride, the bridal party, and the guests have all been delighted with how this shop has made a true occasion of saying yes to every dress and tux. And today I found a mother-of-the groom dress that is so perfect for a hot summer wedding that I am truly grateful for the expertise of the White Orchid. Thank you!

My wife went to White Orchid to find a bridal dress after going Bridal Beginnings, MB, and a few places in NY. After coming home from all the other places, she just wasnt happy with the overall experience. The staff at White Orchid took excellent care of her and when she walked down the aisle, I was completely blown away. She bought a Mon Cheri dress and she looked absolutely amazing. I just wanted to say thank you to the staff for helping her pick out a dress that was breathtaking. We have sent a few of our friends there and they said the same thing. If you want great service and to truly feel like you are being treated like royalty, go to the White Orchid.

Loved my dress and sales service was awesome. I worked with multiple women and they were all pleasant and helpful. They worked with my budget and very patient with my requests. My only concern with the sales woman that ordered my dress was that she was unsure on what size to order for me (She said I was in between sizes). However, the size she picked worked perfectly. Michele did my alterations and it all eventually worked out. She made custom sleeves which took some work (and multiple fittings), but she eventually got them to be perfect. I would recommend to anyone interested in wedding or special occasion.
