I have multiple complaints about this store and only decided to write a review after my most recent visit to this store. First, about a year and a half ago, my best friend and I went in here to so she could try on wedding gowns. The staff was rude and pretty much acted as if they had no idea what was in their stock. We asked for similar dresses and they would walk away for 20 minutes only to return with a single dress and usually it wasnt close to what we had asked for. In the end we gave up and left, as we were frustrated that they didnt seem to know what we wanted (and we even had pictures!). The second visit to the store was just me, alone. I was nearby and decided to stop to grab some of their mothers/bridesmaid/flowergirl catalogs. I wasnt engaged yet, but knew it was coming with the week (which it did). When I walked in I asked about need an appt., how far in advance I should call, etc. and asked for the catalogs. The two women at the desk scoffed at me and said "First of all, before you make an appointment we need you to have two things... a ring and a date." I was like... wow, rude. Considering I was simply asking questions, not demading they let me try on a lot of bridal gowns. I walked out, pretty suprised by how rude they were, yet again. The most recent visit, was this past friday. I had my future mother-in-law in town, along with my mom, my stepmom, and two bridesmaids. We had plans to visit three stores that day. Alfred angelo was the second and when I called and made the appointment two weeks before, I specifically asked if they had dress #803 in stock. Because I knew it was the one I really wanted. They said yes of course, it was there and would continue to be because its a popular style. I said great, and made my appointment. I asked them to put a note in their system with my appointment saying that was the only dress I wanted, in case they sold the sample, so I didnt waste my time. So two weeks past and we all showed up at 2pm for our appointment. After standing around for 10 minutes with no one responding to us, finally we had a woman ask to help us and we began the information collecting process, she asked about the wedding, dress, blah blah. So I told her I was only there to try on #803. She said ok, let me pull it and we can get you in it. I was like, ok, lets do this! 5 minutes later, she comes over and tells me the dress was discontinued, last week, and I couldnt order it anymore, Id have to take the sample. I almost cried. I still asked to see the dress and she couldnt find it for 15 minutes. When she finally did, it was in this champagne/gold color, which is not what I wanted, so I asked if there was anyway to get it in white, from another store or something. She just kept telling me their was nothing she could do and I could just buy the sample (which had rips and tears all over it and the zipper was broken, they still wanted 999$ for it, ha). I tried the dress on and was so frustrated I couldnt even enjoy it. She then told me she could get it, in white, but only in a 14 or a 20something. I am an 8. So I asked if they would pay for the alterations because they never called to tell me the dress was discontinued. And of course she said no, the dress would be full cost. And alterations would be an additional fee. When I told her that was fine I was leaving she got snippy, as did the man working at the counter. Basically I was completely dissapointed by the whole experience, the rude staff and the fact that they discontinued a dress that they claimed they wouldnt be discontinuing. It was very frustrating. I ended up finding a gown down the road at One Enchanted Evening, which had a good sized collection of gowns and the staff was very helpful.

Ladies, PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS. My appointment went fine. They told me the dress would take at least 3 months to come in which was standard and understandable. Smooth sailing. Upon the 3 month point, out of curiosity without hearing any coorespondence, I called and was told my dress had been hanging there for "3 weeks because I didnt respond to their voicemails". No voicemails received. The dress is shipped to me because I had recently moved and I voluntarilary requested a tracking number. No tracking received and just shipped. Minimal customer service at this point, but things happen. When I finally receive the dress, it is highly defective. Silk buttons down the center of the back are 4 inches shifted to the right. Unwearable and clearly defective as the buttons appear "zig zagged". Again, things happen. I request the assistance of Kim Benny, the Regional Manager. She is highly unapologetic and asks why this issue cant simply be remedied by the tailor. Note: This is not the tailors job to fix an evidently poorly made dress. She tells me this will take one month to fix at their "headquarters" (China). She tells me she will call me back within 24 hours with further details and a solid solution. No call. I call her within 48 and said she " got busy". Tells me to drop off at my local AA and they will send to "head seamstress" in Florida with a 48 turnaround and that she will follow up with me in 72 hours. No call (again) from Kim. I follow up within a few additional days, very patiently, and ask to speak to her manager hoping to get things pushed along ( wedding at this point is within 5 weeks, and not dress). She "doesnt have one and tells me to call the 1 800 number" on the website. She again lies and tells me she anticipates another 3-4 day delay because of "how defective the dress is" and she will call me in that time span to give me an update. I do not receive a returned call (again!). After all the lies and unreturned phone calls at this point I am not sure how much longer I can manage. I agree to wait one last time for a final update and failed to receive a phone call. (AGAIN!!) She promised to send me a "free" dress for my troubles but it was too late (... and honestly not worth the stress 4 weeks before my wedding). I needed to act and act fast so I ventured off .. and found an AWESOME dress regardless. Overall, Alfred Angelo ( in particular Kim Benny) was the worst customer service experience I have ever experienced. Very untrustworthy with very disrespectful business practices. 100% disappointing experience - PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS!

If I could give it zero stars I would. I have never been so furious and insulted after dealing with their employees. We were talked into buying our long bridesmaid dresses here with the assurance that our hems, if needed, would be altered for free, since that was the hangup for us. So we bought our dresses. 8 weeks later when I went to pick it up, and wanted to be measured right then and there, the woman told me that I had to have the shoes Id be wearing in the wedding, but that I could stop in for a quick fitting. Six months later, I stop in, Im turned away by the store manager who tells me that I have to have an appointment with the seamstress and that she is not "trained" to place pins in the dress or even just measure the length for the seamstress. She also tells me that there is no notation in our files that say anything about free alterations and that they never do that. She encourages me to talk to the bride. I take my dress and leave. I got the name of the woman who dealt with us originally, Megan, and called back the next day. I spoke to a woman named Neeva who told me that "Of course we will honor it, but Megan made a lot of promises like that without telling the manager, which is why she no longer working here." Then she tried to tell me that with the wedding in 3 weeks, there would be a rush order charge. I explain that I was there last night and was told that I could be seen the next day when the seamstress was in from 4-8pm and that it should only take about a week. So she gets the manager, Annie, who happens to be the woman I spoke to yesterday. Annie tells me again that there is no notation about any free alterations in our accounts and have I talked to the bride? I say, Neeva just told me that you guys would honor Megans promise and no, I talked to the maid of honor, who didnt need any alterations, which is why she hadnt been in. Annie then implies that I was lying originally about the free alterations and just now about Neeva saying they will honor the promise. Then she says, regardless, Neeva is not a manager and cant make that decision and there is nothing she can do for me. Congratulations on repeatedly wasting my time, I will not EVER be back and I will make sure to tell people of my experience at every opportunity.
