Nice selection of sample dresses at reasonable prices, cost for alterations was higher than similar stores, customer service was OK. However, I would be extremely careful and ask lots of questions of the employees--for example, the wedding gown policy they hand you when you are looking at dresses states that they will hold dresses for a period of 90 days with a deposit of 1/3 the cost of the dress, then if you change your mind you are entitled to a refund of 50% your deposit. What they dont tell you is that (a) theyll actually hold a dress for $25 (this isnt on the written policy--) (b) "entitled to a 50% refund" actually means 50% refund as store credit, not cash. And the store credit is only good for their merchandise, most of which I found to be significantly more pricey than other stores (granted, it is a store in the south side, I would expect prices to be higher...still $32 for a "bride to be" tank top?). Bottom line, good selection of sample dresses for anyone on a budget some big names like Maggie Sottero, some not so well known names, lots of wedding accessories--but be careful and ask questions if you are going to put a deposit on anything.

I highly recommend Clarrisa Boutique. I made an appointment with the boutique and the staff spent several hours assisting me with choosing and trying on the perfect accessory combination for my bridal look and helping me to make decisions with my veil. In the end, I purchased several accessories for my wedding day including earrings, a hair comb, and a custom belt. All accessories that I purchased were already in the store; however, the boutique was also willing and able to search for and order other items that I inquired about. The cost of the accessories were more than I wanted to pay, but the service was worth the cost. Moreover, I had a custom veil made in which the lace from an heirloom veil was removed, cleaned, and attached to a new veil that I purchased from the Boutique. The veil was done impeccably; the lace was like new again and the details were just as we planned. Overall, I experienced quality service and was pleased with my purchases.

When my daughter got married a few years ago, Clarissa Boutique took a simple pearl necklace that had been in the family for years, and they re-designed it to be a focal jewelry piece for my daughters wedding. It coordinated perfectly with her gown, and we were thrilled. Clarissa Boutique also customized the jewelry for the entire wedding party. So, it only made sense that when I wanted christening bracelets designed for my grand babies, that Clarissa Boutique was the place for me. Clarissa Boutique is such a unique store, and their customized designs are exceptional. Not only is their craftsmanship perfection, their customer service makes you feel like you are their one and only client. I had the most amazing experience at this place. I bought my wedding dress out-of-state and brought it here to be tailored. Everybody was so nice and helpful! I really almost couldnt believe it. Ive been to almost every single bridal shop in the Pittsburgh and surrounding areas and Ive never had such a great service and quality. The seamstress did a great job and were able to rush my order, since I only had two months to go. They have a great selection of veils and bridal accessories. The best part about it is that you can bring your dress and try it all together. They made a custom pearl and crystal necklace for me, which was simply perfect. I got some matching pins for my hair to pull the look together. Top quality place that I would recommend to all of my friends.

I bought a wedding dress at another bridal store, and to say the least it was butchered. I went to the boutique 20 days before my wedding to look at some of their dresses and I found an amazing dress! I bought my veil there for the other dress and the ladies exchanged it for a new veil to match my new dress, made sure all of my jewelry matched, and were absolutely amazing! These ladies went out of their way to help me, and they were not obligated to in anyway. I am so pleased with everything and this second dress is even better than the first! Their seamstresses were so nice and accomodating. I am truly grateful for Clarissas and all the wonderful women that work their. The store is just as amazing as the people that work there!

I was shopping for a veil for my wedding, and I thought I knew what I wanted when I went in. Penny took a lot of time going through the pros and cons of each type of veil, looked carefully at the photos I brought with me of my dress, and helped me pick out a custom veil that was PERFECT for my dress! She even matched the pink champagne color of my dress! The veil that I thought wanted was double the price of the one that Penny designed for me--she talked me into a less expensive one! I will absolutely recommend this boutique to anyone I know looking for wedding accessories--the service was great, my custom veil was ready for me in less than a week, and I saved about $160 compared to the bridal shop I had gone first.

I really could not have asked for a better experience. After searching for my perfect veil all over the internet and visiting boutiques from Virginia to North Carolina, I finally found Clarissas Boutique in Pittsburgh while visiting family. Jeannie was so patient and helpful. She took the time to view pictures of my dress, show me all different veil styles, and walk me through an array of swatches. Once I had the length, color, and trim down, Jeannie was able to find a designer that could custom make my veil. The price was affordable and the veil was shipped right to my doorstep. I tried the veil on with my dress and I really couldnt be happier!

After a few not so great experiences shopping for dresses I ended up in Clarissas. I was lucky since they had a dress that matched very well what I had in mind, and it was so cheap too! Clarissas sells discontinued models, so you can only choose from what they have, but these dresses are also half the price! I got my alterations done there, and the people were just fantastic to work with! They will never push you into buying any of the wonderful things they have for sale in their store, they are very professional and treat you like a queen. I greatly enjoyed my experience with them and I highly recommend them.

Clarissa Boutique did a fantastic job on my wedding dress alterations! They, also, helped me tremendously with their creativity and knack for finding the right combination of jewelry and accessories. The staff is incredibly skillful and extremely kind. They made wonderful suggestions for me, all of which I took.
