I looked at and test drove a vehicle here yesterday (January 2016). The two people I talked to seemed nice, and did not pressure me any more than asking usual questions like "do you want to drive it" or "can I get you the keys to see the inside". One was the owner and the other was the a sales person. I want to start, before getting into this, that I am an ASE Certified Master Mechanic, and have years of experience with companies who sell quality vehicles. To start, they share a very small lot with an auto repair garage. And the owner of that shop is not nice at all. Within 15 seconds of pulling in, he was at my window yelling at me that I had to park on the other side of the lot because I was in one of "his" spots. The spot I parked in was not labeled, and was directly next to a vehicle that was for sale. I wouldnt have minded as much had he just asked me to move politely. (This is not their fault, but is noteworthy.) Next I move on to the vehicle. It was priced OK for year, make, model and mileage. I most likely would have bought it on the spot too. However, the vehicle was in horrible condition. I will begin with the interior. Interior: There were stains all over. Everywhere. The sales guy said he couldnt clean them yet because it was too cold. The front console and the leather were all peeling and just plain in rough condition. The rear entertainment center missing, and had looked like it was just ripped out of the ceiling. The sales guy said it was stolen overnight, and then the owner said that it was missing from when he bought it at auction. Two seat heaters didnt work. The rear air conditioning and rear radio controls along with the steering wheel radio controls did not work. Several interior pieces missing or broken. The dashboard was not attached at the windshield and rattled horribly while driving. There was a subwoofer in the vehicle that was not professionally installed. The drivers master window switch assembly was broken and just hanging there. There were a few other things I noticed but cannot remember right now. The exterior: Looked good actually. It had been cleaned nicely, and any major defecst in the paint or body had either not been there originally or fixed properly. Over all it looked like a very good vehicle if you were only to judge by the paint and outside. The mechanical: They stated that the vehicle had been serviced by an independent shop. I do not believe this to be true. The oil monitor indicator on the dashboard said the oil life was at 50%, and there was a very old looking oil change sticker on the windshield. The PA state inspections were current; however, they were not new. The expiration date was for October of 2016. It did have new tires, but they were the cheapest Chinese kind that are not good at all. This vehicle was equipped with an air ride system, and the air compressor did not work. It needed an alignment. The brakes were ok, but definitely getting low in the front. I cannot remember how the rear was, but I know they would have passed inspection. It was only little rusty underneath (which is good, it was common for this type of vehicle to be very rusty). The exhaust manifold bolts were all intact as well (again, another common problem that was not a problem on this vehicle). When I looked underneath it, it had multiple obvious fluid leaks. There was coolant dripping off the bottom, and oil everywhere. I did not even pursue purchasing this vehicle, as the list of things to fix was too extensive and long. If you are to buy from this dealership, PLEASE take the vehicle to your mechanic (which they did offer I could do) or bring one along. And try every feature the car has to make sure every one works. The guys were nice, but seemed like they didnt know much about their vehicle. I dont feel they were lying at all, just very uninformed and not a whole lot of communication between the sales and owner.

In July 2015 we purchased a 2008 Honda Odyssey from Bo at I-Deal Cars in Harrisburg. We found Bo and his employees very easy to work with – no pressure, honest and was willing to let us take it for a test drive and provided a carfax report, friendly and not pushy. When we got back from the first test drive the battery light came on but when Bo turned it back on to park it the light was no longer on. We were thankful he said right then that he would not sell us the van that day until he had it checked even though the light went out. We took 2 more Odysseys for test drives and wanted to test drive the first one again. We didnt get far when the light came back on so we pulled in a parking lot and when we went to leave the van would not start. We called Bo and they came to rescue us. It turned out to be an alternator which he had replaced and we went to pick it up when it was fixed a couple of days later. When he got the van it only had one key and no fob and he said he would try to get us another key and a fob and he was able to get us 2 more keys and one fob. A couple of days after getting it to York we put up the back of the plus one middle 2nd row seat expecting to see the seat cushion but it was not there. It was apparently taken out so that it could be used as a center console. We emailed Bo and he responded the same day saying he would look for one. Later that same day he emailed and said he had one so we went up the next day and picked it up but it is the wrong color. It works but he said he would try to get us one the right color which we would much prefer which also impressed us. Apparently he has not been able to find one yet and it has been a little over a week but he told us the keep the wrong color one for now. So far everything he said he would do he has done and done it quickly so we trust he will find us the right color seat. We will update this review when we get it or in 2 weeks whichever comes first. Today is 9-27-15 and I said I would update in 2 weeks. Sorry it has been longer than 2 weeks but was giving Bo a little extra time. So far he has not been able to find a replacement cushion for the plus one seat that is the right color. We are still hoping he is able to find one.

I hate writing bad reviews, and I really love supporting small businesses, so this is frustrating to have to write. We went to I-Deal to buy a Forester at the end of February. We test drove a few that were in stock and then settled on the one that met all our criteria and had a clean carfax report. We had a great experience working with Bo that day, and he told us that we were getting a great deal that day and that he was losing money on the great deal we were getting. In less than a week it became obvious that there were major issues with the vehicle. On day 5 the fuel smell became incredibly overwhelming and the "check engine" light came on, so we took it to the shop. It was the first of many, many trips to the shop that our car has had. In 4.5 months we have had it to 3 separate garages to diagnose a host of issues. We have had to replace: the clutch, the catalytic converter, the front 02 sensor, the rear 02 sensor, the rear breaks, the fuel filter, the coil pack, the valve cover gasket, the spark plugs and wires, and the entire fuel line. We paid $5500 for our "great deal" and in a few short months weve spent $3803.36 on repairs. Our warranty covered $250 of these repairs, and we even had to fight for a week to get this money (because of a handwriting error where the a "4" the owner had written off the odometer at the time of purchase looked like a "9" and he claimed wed driven over 1000 miles in a week). Bo really was fine to work with on the day of purchase, and we really hoped to leave a good review. But with the extent of issues this car has had, we highly, highly suggest that you drive any car you are considering to buy from I-Deal to a mechanic for a second opinion before buying.
