This Michaels is absolutely awful. I went in to get a few paintings framed. Not only did I have to wait over 1/2 hour just to see the "framinig specialist" (using their terms, not mine), but they were incompetent. They were not ready on their estimated date of completion. They did not call to notify me that they would not be ready. When I went to talk to a store manager, he was incredibly rude. He waved my sales receipt and said, "Cant you read? This is an estimated date. We have wiggle room." He never apologized for not being on time, nor could he tell me when the frames would be ready. When I finally went back to pick the frames up, I had to wait another 1/2 hour just for pick-up. To top it off, 2 of the 5 frames were done badly. The paintings were mounted crookedly and off-center. Again, they could not tell me when they would have things fixed. Throughout this process, only one person apologized for their errors, and they refused to make any amends (discounts, refunds, etc.). I will NEVER go to this Michaels again.

I think the staff person I talked to tried to be helpful and was polite, but she didnt seem to understand the question, and I hung up feeling as though Id wasted my time. Im not sure if its that she wasnt paying attention (probable) or a language barrier (maybe). Either way, I dont feel as though my question was understood or answered, though it was pretty simple. For those of you interested...all I wanted to know was whether Id left my prescription sunglasses there before I made the 1+ hour commute to their store. I asked, "Does your lost and found have sunglasses in it, and if so do you have ones with red-ish frames?" The response was odd: "We have only a clear frame one...We have many sunglasses." "Which is it? You have one with a clear frame or you have many? If the second, then is there one with a red frame?" This is where the conversation broke down, and after an odd pause, she asked, "Is there anything else I can help you with?"

Huge place, lots of inventory. Few staff (like, never more than 3-4): if you need to find an item you have to either stand in check-out line or rudely interrupt someone elses checkout. Aisles are labeled on top of endcaps, but signs are impossible to see unless you know they are there. They have so many items, you wish theyd have obvious ceiling signage or floor marking to indicate macro-categories like "foodstuff" "drawing/painting" "knitting" "scrapbooking" etc. Or something as simple as a floor plan by the door where all that unused space is? Well. If youre patient or browsing, you wont mind. If you need what you need now, be assertive and find help.

Abysmal Custom Framing department! For the price, I expected good results, but so far its been THREE attempts at framing two oil paintings, without a satisfactory frame! Quality control is missing, and worse yet, they try to cover up a bad job with putty, rather than re-doing the wood frames so that they actually fit. Stay away and give take your business to a store that cares. There are some local businesses that do custom framing, and Im taking my business there next time.

Its on the small side, but stocked as well as they can with the space they have. I bought some frames and mats. I got frustrated with one mat and returned to ask the frame shop to cut a mat to my specifications if I bought another mat. The manager insisted that I could not measure it properly and I had to bring the artwork in so they could frame it up completely (much greater expense). He was a bit insulting about it. I will not return.

This is a smaller Michaels, which means they hardly carry anything besides the most basic things. Ive gone here at least five times after seeing an item on their website and calling, and they dont have it in store. There is literally NO reason to come here- just go online and find what you need. There is also a general lack of staff on the floor or registers (smaller store) so its hard getting help in person.

Framing "manager" totally rude. It took him forever to find my order despite me having the order slip with order number and all. Then he proceeds to say ask me (!) "what happened" and tells me he cant know bcz he has been out for 6 weeks. Generally vey poor demeanor esp. for being in the retail/service business! This wasnt inexpensive either, I see absolutely no reason whatsoever to frame your picture here.

the variety and selection are very poor; even after chance after chance of giving them time to stock a variety (a good variety) of craft materials, michaels has still failed the general consumer. If you decide to shop there, please please compare prices with other comparable craft stores such as Hobby Lobby near Winchester, and A.C. Moore. The only reason to shop at Michaels is if you own stock there.

You have to love Michaels, they have stuff you dont need ... but you buy it anyway. Well stocked and the store is well layed out Somethings difficult to find Customer Service, which makes you wander and find the stuff you buy, but dont need. Located on the top level of Seven Corners. Plenty of parking.

Check out is sometimes slow. But they have everything the kids need for their crafts. I love the selection of art supplies from kid-appropriate to more serious pursuits. A lot of the products are on the cheap/plasticky side but the prices are good. Delighted that they have origami paper!

I used to go to Michaels to get raw materials to make stuff but now it seems like half of the stuff there is pre made. Have had good experience with the staff and the frame shop cut some poster board to size for me.

This place is a must have when youre feeling crafty. I get most of my craft supplies from this place. It feel sometimes cluttered, but that can be people rummaging through the merchandise throughout the day.

Michaels always smells so good! They already had lots of Halloween and Christmas stuff up. A lot of variety as well, there were different things than at the other Michaels I usually go to.
