Just to warn you ahead of time....THIS IS NOT A SUPER WALMART. Therefore they do not have grocery side at all. Well I cant say at all, they do have boxed foods and cans. Enough to take up both sides of approx. 3 shelves. The last couple times 3 times Ive been in this location (approx. a 4 month span with the most recent visit being 2 days ago) they are remodeling the inside partially, so everything you finally were able to locate at one time or another is now in a completely different location. I feel as though Walmart would be a lot further ahead to just shut down the store for a full 30 days, tear down and rebuild a whole new SUPER WALMART in its place. I am the type of person that HATES walking into a Walmart to begin with, always packed weather its 2 p.m. or 2 a.m. and is just gives me a headache thinking about it. But if you are going to build a Walmart why even consider anything but a super Walmart? Seriously!

This place has been here since the late 1980s and it has yet to get a full grocery section. They recently added a small frozen and dairy section (very very small selection). The amount of space wasted on other sections like garden, electronics, crafts and hardware is amazing compared to what they allotted for grocery. Gettysburg has 3 small grocery stores. Kennies Market (very overpriced), Weis (extremely small selection and small store meant for college campus) and Giant Foods (bigger store with self checkouts and self scanning (grab a scanner and bag as you shop to make checkout easier and quicker. ) Walmart is lacking in all of these categories compared to the competition. I do not recommend this location unless you dont want to go elsewhere like Hanover or Littlestown. Btw, we can all blame the historical society for the lack of shopping in Gettysburg. They have fought it tooth and nail and almost always win.

I had become friends with almost all the cashiers, but then they either lost some people and moved some to different depts. I am slowly getting to know new staff, but we are now shopping at night, becuase we know just about everybody on the 3rd shift! VERY nice people, cashiers, CSMs and stockers! SMALL STORE and we need a super walmart, but I love the night crew so that is a great thing! You have some awesome people that work for you on this shift! The day shift, there are alot of stuck up people that even a visitor to your store can see right away and I think all cliques should be split up in my opinion! There should never be any favorites of losers, as ALL LIVES MATTER and ALL employees lives matter!

I have seen a noticeable improvement in the service as of 12/14. I was pleasantly surprised to find almost all of the registers open on my last visit. I did not have to wait at all. People were able to get in and out of the store in record speed despite it being a Saturday night in the last week and a half before Christmas! I was able to find clerks on the sales floor and in customer service to answer all my questions. I also had to make a follow up phone call the next day and my call was answered immediately! This is in stark contrast to service earlier in the year. I would call the service excellent! I am appreciative of good service. Thank you.

Oh My Lord. Hello Walmart, apparently you forgot this store was built. It has to be one of the first stores ever built in PA. The traffic going into this store is more then I see going in and out of the Super Center in my home town. Now they do have Self Checkout which is why I gave them 4 stars. But the amount of time it takes to find anything g without having to ask for help is just off the wall. Their selection is not the best, why would it be there isnt enough store to sell a good selection of stuff. I would like to say I would go back but I am so thankful thats not my hometown Walmart, because I wouldnt go very often. Good Luck Walmart.

Remodel is great. Only go late at night: too crowded otherwise. Wish this was a super walmart though. Revision: now that tourist season is here, Walmart campground has officially begun. The cheap campers park their $90k RVs right in front of the signs saying no overnight camping (apparently, buying the RVs means they have a certain level of illiteracy). The parking lot, as a result, can fill up fast. Be sure to honk your horns when you pass the RVs at 2 AM to show your support for their ability to not pay camping fees at any of the 36 Gettysburg campgrounds.

Visiting Gettysburg and needed to stock up so I stopped here. Its not a Wal-Mart Supercenter and I was disappointed. A Supercenter would have had everything I needed at one place. To make it more fun they are remodeling and even locals were having a difficult time finding things. It was just an OK store, nothing spectacular. I am surprised that with as many tourists as Gettysburg gets that its just a regular Walmart and not a Supercenter.

The Gettysburg PA Walmart, is not a super center. It is in various stages of remodelling, and updating their product availabilty. It is very clean, easy to find the areas in the store, where one needs to find products that is needed. The only portion of the store that gets very backed up, and a withing line is the pharmacy. Otherwise, for the resident or tourist, it is a good place to get what you need at Walmarts Rollback pricing.

This is the worst Walmart I have ever been to. The customer service desk has the rudest employees ever. Only a few nice employees. Most employees dont like to help you without grumbling. Whatever happened to greeting your customer with a smile and giving full attention and thanking your customer? These employees need much better training. I will drive to chambersburg rather than gettysburg. Simply the worst store.

This is one of the worst Walmarts Ive been to in the nation. Its outdated, doesnt sell any abundance of food, is poorly organized, and has the worst customer service. I like to give constructive advice but really dont know what to say here besides fire the store manager and re-train your associates. Embarrassing.

I was not very impressed with Gettysburg Walmart at first but now they have more food choices where as before it was mainly canned food and dry goods. I prefer the Walmart in Hanover but its a bit further away. They have a regular grocery store there. Hopefully this Walmart will soon become a Super Walmart!

Bought an air bed from them when I opened it up it was used. it was full of hair , stains and smelled horribly. When I took it back they refused to do anything other then exchange it . I said ok but it turn out they didnt have another. Very rude store manager will never go there again

Its OK, theres always a line at the registers though. Its also dirtier than other local Walmarts but its not horrible. The electronics section is on what seems to be the exact center of the store in its own little cubed of area, very odd.
