Some weeks back, visited the physical store in Salem Or., after having been on-line attempting to buy yarn. Inevitably, they were out of this particular yarn online so therefore my physical visit was needed. I proceeded to order 8 skeins of yarn that day. A week later, approximately, I called the store to inquire on status of yarn. I spoke to a very wise woman who told me that she would find out status and call me back - which she did that very same day, informing me that warehouse was OUT of this yarn - to my dismay. However, this woman and this store went out of their way to call surrounding stores until they acquired all the yarn in the order. In very short time I had my yarn in hand and was taking it home! This staff and customer service is soooo awesome!!! Thank you! SS

Waited for 5 min while employee cut fabric for another customer. Didnt take number because no one in line or even around. 3 other employees walked by looked at us didnt acknowledge us. Employee finished with customer we waited for her to move fabric off table. Another customer comes up, hesitant to take number. Employee looks at me then her then calls next number, customer takes number and proceed to get helped by employee. I threw my fabric on the counter and say I was here waiting, you saw me, Ill take my business elsewhere. As I walked away she started talking about me, and she couldnt believe what I just did. Really!? What I did! I have NEVER at any JoAnns ever been treated like that. Called the manager, she apologized but didnt sound sympathetic or concerned.

People working the floor ignore customers. I had to repeatedly ask for assistance because I was consistently sent to the wrong part of the store. I finally had to ask someone to show me where what I was after was stocked. She did so but made it clear she was much put out by having to provide customer service. Employees seem to lack training and a knowledge of the store and its merchandise. Would have awarded 2.5 stars if I could. If it werent for the folks in check out this would be a one star review.

Update: They sold me an empty marker with no tip. Amazing. Had to be escorted to the counter when buying paint markers. Talk about patronizing LOL. Will just go to Walmart from now on. I dont like feeling like Im doing something wrong or track down an employee when I just want to get in and get out with my paint markers. That was a longer trip than I needed it to be. PAINT MARKERS.

Cashiers were nice. The fabric cutting area was chaotic and messy, and the employees working that part of the store were not helpful and bordered on rude. There was one lady who walked around the store asking if anyone who needed help, which was nice. This store needs more help!

False advertisement!!! I bought serval "Walton" 10in doilies each package should come with 10! I bought multiple packages full price and they all had 9 two of them had 7! I never have this issue with Michaels they are honest on their products!

Its a pretty good store overall. I dont know if a handful of employees where having a bad day or if some of them are just unfriendly and rude. Im hoping it was just an isolated incident. Ill ship there again. I just wont ask for help.

These guys are fine when youre buying from them. Just dont try to return anything. I buy from Jo-Ann Fabric online now. By-the-way, if you buy from J online, you CAN return it to the store and get your money back. They say you cant.

Messy. Sales people turn their back and walk away when you approach them for help. Poor quality fabric and materials. Been a few times, but it seems to be getting worse. Dont think Ill be back.
