This place is exasperating! Im 1/4 mile from it but I often drive to another city to Michaels or Mill End just because of the lack of service here. I TRIED to buy a pair of Gingher shears yesterday. You have to take a tag off the wall, then take a number to wait at the FABRIC COUNTER for them to hand you your scissors. 20 minutes later they had helped 3 people ahead of me and there were still three people to go before me. Did I mention I have to bring my 100 year old mother along when I shop? I cant leave her at home alone. She waits in the car, so I cannot be long. Did I mention the 3 other clerks wandering around? The kicker is - had I waited for them to get around to handing me the shears - I would then have had to go to the cashier where its another 10 to 20 minute wait! I asked up front if there wasnt someone else to help me and she just shook her head. I wish I had a buck for every time Ive walked out of this store, giving up due to the wait time. Why on earth do I keep trying to shop her at all? Yes, its just a pair of $50 shears and its no big deal to Joanns apparently...

I have made returns at this location and frequented it often. Compared to others, it is a high volume store of customers. What I mean, is that if a sale is going on, its often going to be sold out at this location. Sale on knitting needles? Sold out of 3/4 sizes in the first day or two. However, never had issues with the returns or exchanges I did. Never had issues with any employees. Register lines are longggg for this location. ALWAYS 1-2 cashiers, even in their busiest times. Line frequently wraps beyond the poles set out for it, and the 2 poor cashiers stuck there are calling frantically for the person who should "be off lunch any minute now". This isnt the employees fault, so dont take it out on them, but just be aware, the lines suck here. (In the 3 years Ive been using this Joanns, its rare enough to get out quickly that I can specifically remember the 2-3 times that happened.) Clean store, plenty of parking. A little wonky with the light on Hall and limited entrance options, but its not a bad store at all.

The other week I visited this location with my mother as we were preparing for a funeral. We had gotten all the fabricwe needed and waited at the counter to get our fabric cut. Sossy is the employees name who saw us waiting with NO other customers, looked at us and continued to put fabric away like she wasnt working the counter as another rep assisted a customer. Soon another customer came along and sossy quickly gravitated to her "do you need your fabric cut?" ...." Then you need to grab a number". The lady grabbed a number. Sossy pulled the phone line, looked directly in my eyes knowing I didnt pull a number and called number 82, which was he other woman. Why would she ignore us? We clearly needed help. Why didnt she tell me to grab a number? The other customer was kind and let her know we were there first and to help us. Sossy was very displeased that she had to help me and my mother. During a very stressful event in my life, thank you for being as rude as possible Sossy.

I went in looking for some leather to replace the fabric on our chairs. Found a remnant in the clearance section that was maybe a little more than a yard. I went up to pay for it since it already had how long it was on the tag. There was at least 8 people in line with one cashier and by the time I got to the cashier she stated that I had to have it measured with a ticket. I politely asked asked the ladies cutting fabric if they wouldnt mind measuring it real quick since I wanted the whole thing and there wasnt very much. Very rudely, she said I have to wait in line. When I asked how long the wait was she said about one and a half hours! Just to measure my small remnant that was already marked! If anything I would have paid what was written down and if it was cut since then, so what. I get my fabric and they make more money off me. Win win. But they wouldnt do it. Very dissapointed. I can get better service at Walmart.

I will be shopping elsewhere (Craft Warehouse) from now on. Ive never been terribly impressed with the customer service at this location, but today was awful. I was planning to purchase fabric that was signed at 30% off. At the register, it was full price. The cashier called fabric, and they said it wasnt on sale. After my transaction, I went back to fabric and asked a salesperson to tell me if it was on sale. She showed me that it rang up at full price, pulled the sale signs, and tiredly told me if I wanted to purchase it after all, I could "get back in line" and tell the cashier to honor the signage. I was very pleasant and polite when inquiring about the price. The line was very long, and I was shopping with a baby -- if its the stores mistake, why should I have to wait through the line again? Poor customer service... I will not be back.

Extremely rude staff in the fabric section! This store is so conveniently located for me to shop but I am not returning ever again! I needed a fabric from there so I went in with my 6 year old to buy it. One of the wooden pieces that holds the fabric fell from a height and bruised my daughter. When she started crying an associate came running and in stead of making sure the child was okay she asked "did you make the fabric roll fall?" ...when you work in retail you should at least worry a little bit about your customers safety ....if not, at least care about basic human rights. I wonder if one should be worried about fallen fabric first or about a child who got injured? And this smart employee does not wear her name badge so no one can complain about her! I will make sure all my friends and family are steered away from this Joann!

Wow talk about just rude and for no reason judgmental condescending people. Wow. I just wanted to see if they had some fabric that I could use to help my daughter with a project. Nothing huge but it ment a lot to her. So my knowledge of fabric is this.. I love my 1200 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets but I have no clue how they are made and I love to sew but Im not suoer great at it. Maybe ok and I know enough to know the diff threads needed for diff fabrics. Neways if I go into a "Fabric" store I would expect they know more then I do since FABRIC is there Job. So why the attitude? Why treat everyone like there incompetent idiots wasting your time? I will never ever go back to this store and fyi theres a joAnns over by Beaverton transit thats much friendlier (so I hear) but I believe it as I doubt they could b worse

Im not completely surprised about all of the bad reviews, but at the same time, Ive never been too unhappy about this store. Yes, they are understaffed. I feel like this is a moot point, since most places nowadays are understaffed. I like not being hassled by staff when I shop, so this really isnt a problem for me. This is a "Jo-ann supercenter" as told by one of the friendly staff here, so they are bigger and carry more items than one of their regular stores. Yes, the lines are long. I havent bought fabric at this location, but I know they have you take a number to get stuff cut. The checkout line is always long too, but really, it has never taken more than 10 minutes of waiting in line. I really cant complain about this place. Dont come here if youre looking to get in and out quickly.
