What started off as a decent car buying experience, has quickly turned from bad to worse. I bought a 2012 Sonata with only 12K miles on it. During the drive home, I noticed some issues with the front-end. I emailed my sales person, and we scheduled a time for service. No biggie, they adjusted the alignment and sent me on my way. (This was the 2nd time I took it back to the dealer, as the first time they had to replace the windshield wipers and a huge scratch in the driver door.) This did not fix the problem. So, I called again, explained the issue, in detail, to the service rep, and scheduled to take the car in again. I left it with them on a Friday morning, and they had it all weekend. They called me and said they couldnt find anything wrong with the front end (It would wobble at 43mph). I explained to the guy, Travis, that I knew there was a problem, explained to him exactly how to replicate the issue, and ask that they look again. They did not. So I had to go get my car yet again, not having it fixed, and take it back again to ride with the Service Manager, Tom. Tom was great. Within 60 seconds of driving the car, he felt the problem, and discussed with me what it could be. I sat in the waiting room that morning while he had the car worked on. He thought it was an issue with the front tires, so he had them replaced. We test drove it, it felt much better, and Tom said to give it a few weeks for the tires to break-in and let him know if there was any further issues. Unfortunately, the same issue cam back. Front-end wobble at 43 MPH. So I have to once again take my car in for service. Its there now. I dropped it off Saturday morning, and have not gotten an update yet. Given that I paid asking price for this vehicle, and its still under warranty, I cannot believe the level of grief I have had to deal with on this vehicle. It has been back to the dealership 4 times now, and the issue isnt fixed. Not only that, Ive had to take time off work to be there for repairs. Now, my car is in there yet again, and I had to find a ride to work today because they didnt give me a loaner vehicle. Considering I buy a car on average every 2 years, I can say with confidence that I will never consider buying another car from Montrose Kia, simply because I dont trust their vehicles, and their customer service after the sale has been absolutely awful! Im not optimistic that they will save the day here, but unless they finally step up to the plate and deliver great service and a car that is fixed, Im keeping my review at 1 star. **Edit**10/27/2015 I sold the car that I bought at Montrose Kia, as the Service Manager stopped responding to my emails and calls. They did not care whatsoever that my car was not fixed. Now that I sold that car, I cancelled my GAP Insurance that was on it, which I purchased through Montrose. By contract, they have 60 days to return my unearned premium, which they have not. When I called them for an update, I discovered that they had lost the paperwork to process my return. The struggle with this incompetent dealership continues...

I felt even one star was too much to give this place, Ill warn you these guys are a bunch of scammers who only care about getting your money. I went to look at one particular car and before the pushy salesman even let me look at the car he showed me about 6 other cars that I had absolutely no interest in but were much cheaper, he must have thought I wouldnt have been able to buy the car I wanted to look at just by looking at me, that right there was strike one. Then when I finally got done fighting him off and looked at the car I wanted to see I wanted to take it for a test drive. At this point I was somewhat interested in buying but I was clear that I did not want to buy that night. Well the pushy salesman continued to tell me how I did not want that particular car and was making up non sense as he went on and on to try to get me into a cheaper car. Finally I test drove a similar model that was significantly cheaper than the one I was interested in, it was ok, nothing special so I was ready to be on my way. The salesman WOULD NOT let me leave, he still had my license and would not give it back until I test drove 4 other cars which finally included the one I was interested but he was very blunt with me and stated "I dont know why you want this car you cant afford it". Well his tone changed after I liked the car and was approved for the credit, at this point though I did not even want to buy a kia after the experience with them so again I tried leaving which again they would not let me. Finally after hours of debate they made me take the new car home with me for a no obligation test drive, so I took it for a night and drive it to work. I was still not sold on it so I went to drop it off after work and pick my old car up... They would not let me give it back.. they said to keep it another night and I would love it and refused to take the keys. At this point I was so fed up I took it then brought it back after they closed and dropped the keys in the night drop box and left it there. Well sure enough almost non stop all the next day the salesman and sales manager were calling my phone and harrassing me and when I finally got through to them that I was absolutely not buying they just hung up on me. I couldnt believe it so I called back and sure enough I was being avoided by them. Take it from my grueling experience, DO NOT go to this dealership. If they have to sell their cars in this manner then there must be a reason, maybe because they are selling junk, Ive never owned a kia but it seems to me that is the reason. Save yourself the headache and go to the Nissan dealer or Mitsubishi dealer that are both a stones throw away, youll be glad you did!

My son on his day off went with me to look for a reliable used car to replace my old car. After visiting two dealerships we stop by Montrose Kia. We were greeted at the outside entrance by Matt Fowler. He welcomed us with a genuine warm smile and handshake. We proceeded to inform him of the car my son had seen on the internet. On this particular day, it was chilly and had been raining all day. As opposed to walking through the car lot in the rain to look at that car, Matt said he would bring the car into the service area were we could inspect the car. While we were waiting for the car I was offered coffee to warm me. The car that was on the internet was beautiful. Matt pointed out the features and benefits without the sense of pressure to buy the car. Although the car was beautiful, it was too large for my driving preference. Matt then showed us (in the dry, warm service area) two more KIAs. The 3rd vehicle, the 2013 Kia Rio was the type of vehicle I was looking for. Once again, no sense of pressure from Matt, just a genuine concern to get the right car that satisfied my preference. We didn’t buy the car that day because my son wanted to visit another dealership to look at another car he seen on the internet. To make a long story short, we visited another dealership in Elyria; we had to go inside to ask for a salesperson to assist us, who then showed us the car outside. He was not as personable. Though the car was at the right price, I felt more comfortable doing business with Matt at Montrose Kia. My son called Matt the day after to tell him I was coming back to buy the car. I highly recommend Matt. Alice R. Lorain, Oh.
