Used to be there was no question as to where you went for appliances--Sears--NO MORE!!!! After thirty years I am resolved to never deal with Sears again. I have spent weeks with Sears trying to figure out how to get appliances delivered and installed. Their systems now seem designed only to frustrate everyone involved. Getting to talk to a human being is nigh impossible by phone. When you do, that person is hundreds, if not thousands of miles away. Go to the store to deal with issues in person and you get a whole new set of frustrations. My delivery folks--when I finally got them--were excellent. The installation team however had one of the most unhelpful ladies I have ever dealt with. I paid 139 dollars cash and was told by the salesperson how accommodating the installation team was. Twenty-four hours later I was told that my order had "not yet appeared" by the woman in charge of scheduling, and she could do nothing until it "appeared." She seemed completely exasperated that I had dared to request to be worked in as soon as possible. After several cranky and rude questions from her, I told her that clearly my order was way too much trouble for them and I would not impose my business upon them. And I wont.

Sears is AWESOME! Theres not a jewelry store anywhere around that offers the quality of diamonds that Sears offers at the price Sears asks. Charlas very helpful, so ask for her if youre buying your wife a ring. Im currently in the store with an armload of winter apparel that was marked down to $3.99. Name brands, Nordic track, etc. Got a Carhartt jacket for $4. Unbelievably low prices on shoes, too. Sears offers American-made lines, just like with their Craftsman tools. Ive been a loyal Sears customer all my life and Im old enough to remember "the man on page 602" of the Sears catalog. :-D. Heck, Im old enough to remember the Sears CATALOG. People who complain so much should visit a third world country to get some perspective. You had to wait in line? Well, at least you didnt have to walk 5 miles (literally) to a water source and then carry it back in a 3-gallon bucket so you could make a thin broth over a fire made from dried cattle dung because of deforestation around your village where the closest electricity is a two-day walk away. So, yeah, Ill wait in line. And while Im waiting Ill consider how lucky I am to have the privilege to live in this blessed country.

I purchased a Kenmore washer from Sears on 09/20/2014. Since the purchase I have had "sticking" issues with the start/stop button and the automatic locking mechanism. Two days after Christmas 2014, I called Sears on Monday, Dec. 29, and after being on hold and transferred and reinstituting my call three times, I ended up with a service call scheduled for January 9. I started wondering what my laundry would look/smell like. One more attempt to call to the Appliance Department at the store (instead of remote Customer Service found me speaking with an employee who went over and beyond -- even though they could not get my service appointment moved up, an hour later I received a call that I was being given a $100 credit on my credit card (which is 1/5 of the purchase price of the washer). My clothes may be smelly, but Sears has come up smelling like a rose to me!!

A terrible shopping experience Id like to spare you. It includes: -deceptive sales people (they work on full commission) -store will tell you one thing; Sears website another. Apparently they use different product numbers for the same product and thus cant communicate. You learn this after 30 minutes on the phone.Really. Bait and switch. Two sales people told me on Sunday there was a special sale with extra discount and free delivery. I returned to the store to make major purchases on Sunday to be told it was the discount OR free delivery. I spoke to the department manager whose answer was "Sorry." They are the ones who should be sorry as I will take my $3000 to a company thats honest and competent.

I wanted to save myself a trip to this store by calling their mens apparel department 16 times over two days to find out if they still carried Carhartt products. Although I left my name and number for a courtesy callback, I never heard from them. I decided to drive to the store to see if they still sold Carhartt, which they no longer carried, and bring this problem to the store managers attention. While I was there with the manager I called in on my cell phone for the mens apparel department and was amazed to see a sales person who was not busy within 20 feet of the ringing phone ignore it! Unbelievable!! Worst Sears store I have EVER been in!!!

Bought some exercise equipment on May 10. I used my sears card to get a discount of 5% and when they processed the order they never did the 5% discount. I had to call and complain. I received the first bill and paid for the item by May 21. Item was to arrive by May 29. Now theyre telling me its going to ship to me on June 5. Customer service isnt really interested in doing anything. They werent this disinterested when I had to pay the bill.

No point to try and call, they will not answer. I had a package for in-store pick up and it was "in transit" for days upon days. Awful customer service. I called their operator who told me he could not see my order because I had to call the specific store I was picking it up at- BUT THEY WONT ANSWER- so whats the point? I will never shop here again?

Terrible store, bought a pair of shoes and had return for a new pair in just 1 mouth, and now about to return the 2nd pair bcuz they to are falling apart! Sears needs to just shut its doors, you guys are crap! Better quality stuff at a thrift store n the customer service would definitely be better than sears!

Highly unprofessional service. I was charged about $ 15 more than the bill I received. When I complained about it they got back to me about a month later after rigorous followup saying that they did not charge me more than they should have. This is so frustrating. Never going to go at sears again.

While no one seems to have anyone who knows a thing about appliances Sears still has people how know their product and can actually helped me find what I needed. Having tried the others I would say Sears is the best place to buy appliances.

An OK Sears store - not too good in the service department - distracted employees, selection is OK. The pick-up area usually functions pretty well unless there is a crowd and then parking your car to load it becomes a problem.

Sears is a garbage company, they do not care about their employees. Do not work for them, the management team lies and makes false promises and you will not get enough hours to make it worth your time or gas.

Exactly the reason popular perception of Sears is what it is. Lots of people standing around, no one really has a clue whats going on, employees act like you are the biggest inconvenience of their day.

Ordered online to pick-up at the store. Couldnt talk to anyone about pick-up. Phone system would only go to Jewelry. Lady tried to transfer me numerous times only to hit a dead end. Never again.
