Its there and its convenient if you live nearby. With PathMark no longer at Old Colony Square, ShopRite being a mad house and PathMark on 440 being a bit out of the way, your options in this area are limited. That being said, I have been shopping here (as has everyone in my household) for DECADES. The old owner/operator Salim (I probably butchered the spelling of his name) was wonderful. The pricing was good, the stock options were there, the staff was friendly and had been there for years. Now with the 2 new operators it is a joke. The pricing has gone up on a large amount of items, many times stock isnt available on things as simple as tomatoes (or the stock that IS available is going foul) and the new staff are generally lost and/or useless. The deli department ALWAYS gives you more than you ask for "by accident" and just today an item that came up as being on markdown was then manually price changed by the cashier and when I grilled him about it he said "thats just the price, oh well" Needless to say, I will much prefer taking the drive to PathMark and Walmart from now on. As of the past few weeks since the old operators departure this place has gone downhill across the board. As most of the reviews on here show, a year or more in the past it was a 4-5 star establishment but as of late it is anything but.

we used this store on a visit to jersey city a few years ago and was a good service but when we went this year there was a distinct lack of service ! they have a bag policy which means you have to leave your bag at the door we went in no signs at the door and we quickly stopped with some assistance no name bag no id demanding my bag ! told him to go do one an in no uncertain manner no body is taking my bag ! we had not purchased anything as it happened and left so what bemused ! walmart run a check at the door which was far more professional and ceetown could take a leaf out of their book they lost our to all our tourist dollars and will in future !

On certain weeks, the shopping is pleasant. The vegetable are plentiful, fresh and displayed in a very enticing manner. The odd week, not so good. When you go to the store, make sure you go early in the a.m. AVOID the school time hours. I call this the mothers and infant strollers hour. Also avoid the first week of the month, prices go up significantly. A speciality is the stores policy of providing delivery for consumers that spend $65 or more.

The worst store the cashiers are rude, and racist, and the driver looks.like hes always high on crack and also hes very rude and disrespectful. Im really thinking about reporting CTown to the BBB because of how they treat their customers. Out of all the supermarkets in Jersey City, big or small by far CTown is the worst of them all. I cant stand that its the only supermarket close to residents that reside in journal square.

Groceries are very expensive, surprisingly more expensive than Shoprite in Hoboken or Downtown Jersey City. Food selection is meh at best since there arent good selections of Asian food. They may have ok lineup of healthy food and organic vegetables. But, the price of grocery prevents me from giving higher grade than two stars.

This is a no-frills grocery store that I go to as a last resort when I do not feel like driving to the Shoprite in downtown Jersey City. The store is pretty small and the aisles are crowded with boxes from the shelves being restocked. The prices are so-so, but better than going to the local corner store for basic food.

Good if you need something quick. But I would NEVER buy meats from there. Just walking by that section you can smell it all rotting. Disgusting. Its also very unorganized and little space to walk between aisles as there are always boxes everywhere. Impossible to go with a stroller or even a person with a wheelchair.

A surprisingly good neighborhood supermarket. Clean, reasonably well-stocked. More organic and vegetarian products that I would expect. The produce section is not mind-blowingly extensive, but its good. The staff is very friendly.

I shopped here for over 15yrs and miss the old management and prices. Some of the items I used to find here are no longer sold/carried. I feel some of the fruits & veggies are fresher elsewhere. Its okay for some quick items.

C-Town is located in a busy good area! The food is good &, there are a lot of cookies that have low sugar content in them (a good thing). I dont live near C-Town! However, I go there once in a while!

Good spot to run in and out of but disorganized. No room for long lines at all. If its between 3 and 5 dont even bother. Itll be a year before you can move in the store and get checked out

This spot is good! I shop there every time unless I want large quantity then Bjs it is. Cheap, people are helpful and responsive, and the manager is always on top of things!

Good thing about this store is that you can find almost everything in store and bad thing is theyre way too expensive comparing to other C-Town Supermarkets in Jersey.

Usual neighborhood super market. I go here only for emergencies or on days when Im lazy to shop elsewhere (I live in the neighborhood). Many items are overpriced!

This store has come a long way to accommodate new area residents. Good produce, Dairy, Deli. The meat is better than years ago, but the prices are still too high.

This place is convenient and has a lot of imported products but I wish it would stay open later than 7:30 to 8:30pm
