They were very nasty i picked up some carribean food and had two bottle of malia india drink that i was paying for. i had to drink some thing it was very hot I was not feeling well in the store. I open one of drink and the manager said i had to buy all 10 bottles not just two i was been forced to buy stuff i did not need. So I left the items that the cashier rang up and walk out of the store my money is too good for that trashy store it is like a prison with hundreds of cameras watching you as you shop more carmers than people in the store these kinds of super market should be remove from our community. They enslave us as people of color dont shop at Food Bazaar Supermarket 161 st Bronx NYC shop some wher else. Use your financial power shop at BJ

Great grocery store with a varied selection. If it were closer to then subway, Id do all my shopping here. Besides the location (-) I dont like checking my bag at the entry like a common criminal or a high school kid... Especially when Ive come from My job on Wall Street and Im dressed in work clothes. So much for bringing my own bag to save the environment. Its enough to make me Pay the extra at Fairway for good produce and good selection - but thats just my personal opinion. You dont see this in a white neighborhood, so I dont agree with this assumption that everyone is there to steal. I expect better treatment

The supermarket is in a great location. It is always open, they have great prices. However the workers always have an attitude. They hardly ever know where anything is and when you ask for help they roll their eyes like thats not their job. The lines are always extremely long because the cash register person is extremely slow. They close the register without telling half the people on the line that theyre closed. If it wasnt for the cheaper prices, I would definitely go elsewhere.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Food Bazaar Supermarket sells SALSA LIZANO, the delicious Costa Rican signature sauce, a true staple of its culinary tradition. Its a sort of Worcestershire sauce with added herbs. Delicious stuff that Ticos are always on the lookout to buy. In case you ever wonder "where can I buy Salsa Lizano in NYC?" as I did when I just got here. Note that Food Bazaar has locations in almost all boroughs of the NYC area.

This Food Bazaar Supermarket is big. They have products for just about all kinds of people regardless of your race and whether or not you are a vegetarian, vegan or an eat everything person. The prices are in line or better than the competition. The is a restroom and parking available. The staff is friendly. They have express lanes but often times this place gets very crowded.

This is one of the supermarkets that has a lot of deals when it comes to making big purchases. For example, You get the 2 for $11 rice or oil mix. I dont recommend buying any produce because it doesnt look fresh. Depending what time of the day you might run into massive lines that take longer than shopping at a BJS wholesale.

Great selection if foods including ethnic foods. I personally dont shop at this store because I find it insulting to ask for my bags when I enter. Im not a thief just because Im ethnic. They have great sales but again I dont shop at stores that have different policies in different neighborhoods.

Its really a great store. Huge selection of merchandise. You should be able to find anything you want here. The prices are out of this world. They have a large selection of international products.. Service is great. Large seafood selection. Very cheap prices. I just love this store.

The produce section is always neat and food quality is superb! The best Food Bazaar Ive been to in NYC. The floors are always clean the shelves are always stocked. The only improvements would be the checkout line, standing in line on a weekday for more than 20 mins is unacceptable.

The workers dont know where any thing is at.I saw one worker just standing around doing nothing. An when I asked the wokers to help me find things they give me a unpleasant.look. If the prices werent good I would rather go to path mark but they are to far for me!!!!!

By far the most diverse supermarket in the Bronx. The only drawback are the lines when you go checkout. Sometimes youre left waiting for 20 minutes before they get to you. The seafood area is great and overall the store is very clean and always well stocked.

When I walked in a worker bumped me without saying sorry sorry or excuse me then they did not no where stuff were at the computer took extra cash and then they complain of not getting a tip the said I was cheap in their language Im glad I speak 4 languages

One of the few big supermarkets left in the Bronx but does not compare to the bigger chains. They also put this weeks price stickers over previous prices so you cant compare your savings at times

The best for fresh produce and fish. I really appreciate the variety and I recommend getting the sale paper weekly because they have pretty good deals in there
