My 7 1/2 year old, female Black Lab, Matte is a FC (field trial champion) AFC (amateur field trial champion) and exceptional hunter. In the past two years she has had a compartment syndrome injury in her shoulder and a ruptured cruciate ligament on her right rear knee. Dr. Hardaway repaired both injuries. We could not be happier with the care she received from both the Dr and the staff. Dr Hardaway is an outstanding surgeon, caring and professional. When you are in the consultation room with him, he is 100% focused on you and your pet. He takes all the time required to observe and treat your animal and to make sure that you understand as well. The staff is professional, friendly and caring. I recommend Dr. Hardaway to my friends and never hear anything but positive comments. You can trust this team with your pet! RJA

Dr. Hardaway is the best vet we have ever used. We have been going to him for years for dogs, cats, and horses. He is caring, he is honest, and knows what he is talking about. Dr. Hardaway let me feed a a marshmallow to a bear that he was caring for one time. When mom took her dog in for a check up, Dr. Hardaway was very patient and explained everything in detail for her. I do agree with one other review and to stay away from Dr. Joiner. She also told us on two occasions that my moms dog and my sons dog needed very expensive procedures done that were not appropriate. Recently Dr. Parrot treated my horse Jamie and like Dr. Hardaway, I highly recommend her. She was very professional, very knowledgeable, and explained what I needed to do to continue Jamies treatment. Dr. Parrot took her time and was very thorough.

As another poster pointed out, Dr. Joiner is a huge reason not to use Hardaway for veterinary services. While I lived in Bozeman I had to use their services a number of times for my pug. During one scheduled appointment I was kept waiting because friends of Dr. Joiner came in (with no appointment) and a truck full of dogs to get checked on. They gave me an expired Dairy Queen coupon to compensate. Another time I had to take my pug in to have his anal glands expressed, Dr. Joiner essentially used her entire fist. I had to scream at her to stop hurting my dog. That woman should not be allowed near anyones pets.

If you chose to go to Hardaway vet do NOT see Dr. Debbie Joiner!! She was very rude and LIED to me about the conditions of my recently adopted dog. She told me he was extreamly sick and needed vet care. He seemed fine to me so I took him in to TWO different vets for a second opinion. Both vets said he was perfectly healthy. Thank goodness I did not fall for her FRAUD scam. It saved me hundreds of dollars. Dr. Debbie Joiner needs to go back to school so she knows what she is doing and stop trying to take advantage of people. DO NOT become a victim of her dirty scams. Dr. Debbie Joiner is a HORRIBLE vet.

I had been bring my baby to Hardaway for years before he became very ill, he was diagnosed with cancer in April and had to be put down but Dr. Baumgardner was amazing through the entire process, He was right there to answer all my questions and even took my dog home with him on several occasions so he could administer medications through the night. Zeke absolutely loved him and I am grateful for the care he was given, I would definitely recommend Hardaway. I recently adopted a new baby and will be bringing him to Dr. Baumgardner as well

I have lived in Bozeman for some years now and recently moved closer to Belgrade so I was looking for a vet closer to home. I have a cat and a dog to take care of and looking for one closer led me to Hardaway. It has been a remarkable bit of good luck as having dealt with numerous vets over the years, these are far and away the best veterinary folks I have ever dealt with. If your pets are ever in need of veterinary care, you cant do better than Hardaway.

I have taken my animals to Dr. Hardaway for years. He has helped through lots of joy and many tears. He is kind, caring and extremely knowledgeable about animals from my donkey to dogs to cats.
