If you ever need help with fish or the animals there find Brittany because most of the other employees there -- especially the ones in the fish area -- dont know very much about any of their animals/fish/reptiles. Shes the only person I ask for help from when Im there. The other employees know the very basics, but not much else, which is really frustrating at times. Or, they give the wrong advice to people and then their fish end up getting even more sick or even dying. Ive gotten bad advice from almost all of the fish employees there except her. I come here because I have several pets (cat, dogs, bearded dragons, and three different tanks for my fish) and its easier to buy all of their things from one store. When I got my beardies, I wasnt really sure how to take care of them or what I needed. One employee just gave me a pamphlet with information and left. Another employee, Brittany, came over and walked me through everything I needed for them! She then spent a good 20 minutes letting me hold all of the beardies they had in the store so I could choose which I wanted. She works in the fish department and I guess with all of the animals there too and knows a LOT. Only reason I gave them a 4 star rating is because of that girl. Overall service with cat and dog food isnt bad, but I feed mine the same food every time so I rarely need help with anything other than fish.

We had called in advance to see if they had any female guinea pigs available because earlier that month they only had males (we obviously didnt want our current pig to get pregnant). Julian had insured us that there were two so we picked "her" up that night. It was all very strange because he pulled her right out of the cage that was obviously labeled MALE, we kept asking him "are you sure that this guinea pig is a female? And why is the cage labeled male?", but instead of saying NO he showed us the guinea pigs genitals like that would give us a definite answer (we knew nothing about guinea pig sexing). After taking this guinea pig home we knew it would take time for them to get along, but something seemed off about how much our new guinea pig was mounting our old one. Well with a little more research we come to find our newest guinea pig is a MALE. We will be talking to a manager tomorrow about Julian and lying to your customers. If a customer specifically asks for a certain gender and you do not know how to tell the difference yourself then you should ask an employee who DOES. Very disappointed with petsmart and the lack of knowledge and customer service. Now we have to wait and see if our guinea pig is pregnant and thats VERY frustrating.

I only gave it 3 stars because of the overpriced products at the store! However, if you dont mind paying ridiculously over-the-top amounts of money for things you need then this is your place. They do offer a very wide range of products and services for your pet. They also often have adoption services come in usually on the weekends and you can look into adopting an animal, generally a cat. This is a great place to adopt an animal and save a life. They offer basically everything you can possibly need for any pet you have. We just dont generally come here because they are so overpriced that its really unfair. They have the same products at other stores for half the price of the products here. But it is good for certain things that you cant get at other stores and we do like that you can bring your pets in with you. Also the staff is very knowledgeable and when we found an injured bird they were very helpful at giving us free worms and teaching us what to do to nurse this baby bird back to health. We did nurse the baby bird back to health and send him back into the wild Within a few short weeks and it was a very rewarding experience and the people at PetSmart help us with that.

Worse experience ever with their grooming. They have the worse customer service ever. I made an apt for 2 dogs, had it all arranged with my son and work schedule. I receive a call the night before saying they cant allow me to drop off the second dog at the same time I drop off the first dog. Ok. Never been an issue before. I cant organize my sons schedule to drive one dog to only turn around and drive the other. So I say ok just cancel the other dog then. Then the day of the apt for the one dog, I call to let them know the puppy only needs a bath and has some small knots on his belly from his neutering. She says ok. Then calls me back right before his apt to tell me my son cant drop him off that it has to be me. !!?? What a joke. What a waste of time. It was never any issue all the other times. Luckily Dorthys grooming felt my pain and is taking him as Im typing this. My SON is dropping him off. I will never ever go here again. I shop here and all their their locations when traveling. I probably spend $500 a month on my 3 dogs and will never even shop at this chain again. I do not recommend this place.

I didnt give this place one star because of the merchandise. I did it because of the garbage people they have working here. All I want to do is buy my cat food without a college skank trying to flirt with me in front of my wife. Its sad how few people have integrity these days. The workers have limited knowledge about their own merchandise and the customer service girls are out of control with their behavior. Very unprofessional environment. If I were their boss, I would fire them immediately and hire people who have some self-respect. Gross.

Good place to shop for dogs, cats, fish, etc. They dont have everything, like cat dancers or saltwater fish, but their selection overall is good. We have had a good experience with the groomers here for our doggy. I am taking off one extra star for the lack of attention paid to the kitties in the kennels. I think it is great that they are helping animals find new homes, but the kitty litter boxes in the kennels always have a very foul stench -- not good for their chances of being adopted out.

i have been in here twice to look at rats, both times they were sick. the first time 2 dumbo rats had ear mites. the second time 3 fancy rats that were labeled as "dumbo" but did not have dumbo ears had porphyrin (red colored rat snot) in both eyes and their noses. this is not the place for small animals.

Flagstaff has the best Petsmart in AZ. I volunteer with a dog rescue and have done events at tons of different Petsmarts. The staff in Flagstaff is the friendliest and most helpful. They are extremely outgoing and helpful. I really cant say enough good things.

This is the worst PetSmart I have ever been to in my entire life. If I couldnt give it any stars I would. The staff is horrible and doesnt care about their customers. Will never ever again in my life shop there. I hope no one else does too.
