First, let me say I have NEVER written a negative review like this before. I tend to work very well with people, and even if we have different views, usually seem to be able to work things out. NOT THE CASE with KIP at OK Feeds. We had a HORRIBLE experience at OK feed this week. We purchased 2 baby turkeys, and even though we have started many baby chicks/turkeys with great success, it became clear one was ill. She wouldnt eat/drink from the time we brought her home, and even though we gave her the usual heatlamp/water/food/quiet space with just the other tukeyy, she died w/i 12 hours. When I called the store to explain what happened and ask to exchange her, I was routed to KIP, who was as cold and insensitive as they come! He just kept repeating, as soon as you walk out the door, we have no further responsibility. No apologies, No sorry your turkey died, NOTHING! I asked if they would consider an exception since we are experienced baby bird folks and felt we did everything as needed...a big NO WAY! I called several other feed stores in town and all assured me they either have a conditional policy if bird dies in first day or so, or even if they have a no return policy, they will make exceptions in cases such as this. Unfortunately, no one in town has baby turkeys right now, and it is best to have them in pairs. SO, while we NEVER plan to shop there after this, we went back this afternoon to get a companion for our other turkey.When we got there, and my daughter told the one clerk what happened, he said he knew exactly which bird it was (we purchased 4 total: 2 turkeys, 2 chicks). WHY would he sell a bird he could predict wasnt doing well??? Well see how this one does. So far the new turkey looks pretty depleted_ shaking and hovering, not eating or drinking. Im concerned the birds have been overly stressed in their environment there and we are suffering the effects.. We noted they had dead birds in their cages, and their attitude towards the birds is pretty rough. We also bought some chickens in their larger bird area, and they were quite rough with the big net they used to catch 4-5 at a time, then fished out the one we wanted. All in all, I am disgusted with their attitude, as well as their treatment, of their birds. I have worked as an RN for 28 years. Im used to working with all types of people, and caring for people. Our family is big into animals: horses, goats, chickens, dogs, cats, etc. I am saddened that the coarse, indifferent attitude of one person such as KIP, can be so toxic. I encourage you to take your business elsewhere. There are many great, caring feed stores around Tucson. I know, we buy a lot of FEED!

I hate this place. Usually I give people the benefit of the doubt but Ive gone into this God-forsaken store for the third and last time. Ive always had a problem with them (their products and the quality of their products) and every time theyve refused to make things right. And theyve never been nice about it either. If you look this place up on Yelp, its all positive - BECAUSE YOU CAN PAY YELP TO REMOVE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. Check it out for yourself. The complaints became so bad about his hell-hole that they had no choice but to pay the ransome. When you pay Yelp you get to remove whatever you dont like about you on their site (its like extortion in a way). Its a total racquet, but its not illegal - just immoral. I can remember that there used to be about 30-40 negative reviews about this place on Yelp. Then one day I went to the Yelp website to show someone all the bad reviews, and they were gone. This was the same day that I had learned the truth about Yelp. You can look it up. And did you notice the slew of 5 star reviews on Google about this place in just the past month? Its not a typical pattern, unless someone is acting fraudulently. Five star reviews just dont suddenly stack up like that. So many people complain about this place that theyll do anything to draw attention away from their ugliness. Theyre a lazy, dishonest, shameless and disgusting outfit. And that infamous moron, KIP. Hes pretty well known to people who go to this place. He is the most miserable SOB Ive ever met. And hes the manager. What hes doing there at all is beyond me. He must have some kind of leverage over someone if hes still employed there because everyone Ive ever talked to hates him and has had problems with him. Besides being an obviously troubled person, hes incompetent. Maybe the owners are insane, too, who knows, but something isnt right. Any decent business would have distanced themselves from such a clearly disturbed individual a long time ago. Its much too bizarre. If you dont believe me, go find that whack-job Kip and complain about something, anything - it doesnt matter. And youll see for yourself. Kip Sucks. And OK Feed sucks, too. Its a horrible business that most people go there just out of convenience because theyre close to them. Drive a few more miles and go to a place where they actually care about people and animals. The employees at OK Feed will smile as long as you are giving them your hard-earned money and not bothering them with exchanges or inferior products - which is inevitable at this place. How the manager of this questionable place keeps his position as manager makes me wonder (how this place stays in business makes me wonder, too). Apparently his name is KIP. Hes the tall, ill-natured, old guy behind the counter that looks like he hasnt had a good BM in over a month. I dont want to write a long story of what took place with ol KIP but in short he out-right refused to exchange a product, purchased the day before, that turned out to be defective. KIP claimed that the package had been opened so he could not take it back (yes, I know - how are you supposed to know if a product is defective if you dont open it). I didnt want my money back; I just wanted to exchange the product for one that was not defective - to get what I paid for. No dice. And KIP wasnt nice about it. It was so bizarre that I thought he was joking at first - but he wasnt. Im no doctor but either this guy has something seriously wrong with his mind or hes just a plain old, miserable, hateful person. Either way hes sick. I will NEVER set foot in that god-forsaken place again. Their items are way over-priced anyway - and the staff isnt all that helpful or friendly. Spend your hard-earned money with a store that appreciates their customers, not one that is abusive and hateful.

Came in for some chicks the only chicks they had were in a massive what could be described as a dog run with full grown ducks. We told him what breed we were wanting he caught the number we wanted and tossed them in a box, did not give us time to look at them just tossed them in the box said here and we went to pay. We should have demanded to look at them but after dealing with the rude chicken catcher we just wanted to leave. We get in the car and inspect the chickens they are missing feathers and have large lumps on their bodies. Called the feed store spoke to Kip who said bring them tomorrow we will figure it out, I said can I come now you are open for another 10 minutes and I am concerned taking them home to my current flock. He said we are closing and dont have time for this. On the way home the chicks were quiet and not really acting right, so we stopped at another feed store which was closed, but they still helped us. They said the chicks were dehydrated and not given the right food. They helped us get the right food and explained what to do. Realize they were closed also and not responsible for these chicks. With good food and hydration they will be ok. I will NEVER buy anything from there again. Worst service ever.
