This place is horrendous as it is cruel. Please for the life of all animals, read and listen to this review. The people that they hire to work there are nothing more damn idiotic a-holes that work for a paycheck and nothing more. I once saw a guinea pig that was having a seizure in the display case. I went to inform the associate at the front register to tell them what was happening. They sent two girls who were more about themselves than the poor creature dying on the floor of his habitat. Im talking pity party. "OMG~ thats sooooooooooooooo sad~~~~~~~~." #Im frowning. (Yeah, it was that bad... They were that bad...) So anyways, after this appalling lack of concern, they finally removed the guinea pig. I was furious. This whole time the guinea pig was having his seizure, you had associates walking up and down the aisles without any one of them even taking a second to glance and check on them! I mean, what are you paid for?! I called their corporate office to file a complaint, their store manager and also contacted PETA. PETA actually got back to me much quicker than the other two and the PETA associate I spoke to said she would do a follow up to see what happened to the guinea pig. Through the follow up, I later learned that the guinea pig had indeed passed shortly afterwards. And a few days following this, I received a phone call from the stores main manager "trying" his best to assert that the guinea was fine and dandy because he was looking after it himself. He was so confident up until I told him about contacting PETA and telling him I knew the guinea pig had already passed away. His expression totally changed after that as I knew it would. Needless to say, after that I stopped going. My friend told me today that she had bought herself a guinea pig sometime ago (late November) and it had to be taken to the vet because it was missing hair. Turned out it had ringworm! Then today she went back to buy supplies when she saw another guinea pig with the same symptoms her pig displayed. Baldness on his face and hind legs. His ear had like white crust on it. She called the store back to complain but seeing if the pig is sick, they might just toss him out in the garbage like they do all their sick animals. I highly doubt they have a "qualified" veterinary that actually checks the animals 100%. Thats Petsmart for you ladies and gentlemen! Point is they dont take care of their animals. They have inexperienced people working there who dont give a damn about the animals. Petsmart, "where animals inspire us..." my butt. I hope this company loses all rights to sell animals, but until then, dont buy anything from them. And if you do decide to SAVE an animal, may you love it until the end of the world. Even if its not a big animals like a cat or a dog, all animals, (including insects) dont deserve to be treated like this.

recently went here and it was not pleasant at all. i was told over the phone by natalie it would be 40 dollars for my pom and when we got there natalie told me it was going to be 12 extra dollars to comb him because of his double coat, does she not know what a pom is? he was not covered in mats and i can comb him at home for free. he needed his hair cut. they tried to lure me into purchasing some furminator service which is a joke... isnt that what the first 12 dollars is for, to comb him out and get the dead hair off him. they told us to pick him up 4 1/2 hours later when we got there early for our appointment. not sure how long he was going to be left in a kennel but im not paying 50+ dollars for him to sit in a kennel for a couple hours and be handled by someone that seemed like they were not a dog person. we had to come home to get his shot records, we decided not to leave him there and went back just to pick him. as the girl handed him to me she did not say one word to me and handed my dog to me like he was a bag of chips. will never go back and will never recommend to anyone.

Went in today to browse dog food and saw the bearded dragons all huddled under the light. Tank temperature was at 52 F. I used to work as a pet care specialist in Petsmart years back and I believe they are suppose to be in high 70s to high 80s during the day. Their Petcare guys, who looks to be in their high school years, were just hanging out by the fish tank. The fish tanks were also filthy. My old store would have had people removed for this kind of work. How do you go and buy pets at a store that have people who have no clue how to take care of the pets on display? I strongly advice people to not buy animals here and definitely dont ask any of these guys what is best for your pets.

I like to let everyone know it just did not happen here at Pet Smart but also Pets Barn. Please DO NOT BUY CRICKETS. There is a virus going around in there farms and before this breeders found the problem it was too late. My Chameleon got sick and died a week ago RIP, the sole individual selling them is TCS Sales Plus he works for a big corporate and they dont realize that a lot of people animals are sick because of this Crickets that contain viruses. They are not farmed raised. I have been hearing left and right from so many people their pets are sick it is because the virus this Crickets contained..

This place is horrible!!!!!! Natalie is so bad with dogs she didnt even tried to win my dog over. She simply told me she was not going to take my dog in all because she came at him and tried to take him without showing love first so of course my dog got scared and was hiding from her between my legs so she gave up. You get paid to do a good job with dogs not to give up because a puppy is scared of you. She really pissed me off because I asked for the day off and all for nothing thanks to this unprofessional person who is no good with dogs.

Today I went in to grab a bag of dog food and cat food for my fur babies. Kimberly helped me find the right brand and we even chatted for a while. She was super informative, compassionate, and had a big smile on her face the whole time. By the end of our conversation, she mentioned that it was her 3rd week of working there. I found it hard to believe because she was so great with customers and knew what she was doing. It seemed like she had been working there for years! Cant wait to come back with my little doggie :) Great service!
