about 6 years ago, my wife and I were going on a vacation, and no one to watch my dogs (boxer/ridgeback) mix. My Little adorable terrors, that love to wreak havoc while playing…well not so little anymore. So we began searching for somewhere for them to stay. We had made reservations for them at a pet store pet hotel. Well I wasn’t pleased with in that they would be inside ALL DAY, and NIGHT, except for 1 - 15 minute period to go outside, and what they were charging, so my wife kept looking. She found The Old Farm Pet Resort. Yes she went and looked at it before I did, or before I took my dogs there. When she told me about it, I thought keep looking and she told me to just go look at the resort. When I did I was immediately surprised. Everyone there was friendly, warm, and accommodating to what I expected in caring for my dogs. The Old Farm Pet Resort is Affordable, CLEAN, the staff is ALL friendly. Most importantly my dogs ABSOLUTELY Love to go there. Climate controlled bldg. with full access for the dogs to hide from the rain or just to get cooled off on a hot sunny day. Or they can play on all of the toys in the yard, pools, benches, barrels, or just run … They started out going every so often, then increasingly more, and now almost a daily basis. When we turn the corner to go down the road to the Resort, my dogs go NUTS, They know where we are going, and they can’t wait to go see their friends, and play. They come home and pass out from playing so hard. If you need a warm friendly place to leave your dogs, The Old Farm Pet Resort is THE PLACE. The ONLY Place I will ever take my dogs for daily or overnight stays...

Not so happy here. I took my Rhodesian in a few times no problems. then I decided to take my 2 other dogs and when I picked up all three they said the bedding got "dirty" and that it just happaned. We could barely stand the smell from the bags as we were driving home. When we opend the bags the beds were soiled with feces and urine from all three dogs. When I spoke with the owner she said her staff did all the right things by taking them out but never said how often. When the dogs got home they peed for a long time, one of them longer than I had ever noted. it was obvious that they were not attended to the way they should have (I paid $130 for 2 nights of neglect) The owner called my dogs "nervous wrecks" thats when I ended the conversation. I have to admit the staff seems caring but they missed taking care of my dogs that weekend, that will never happan again! You need to make sure the people you trust with your animals and your money are doing their jobs, because the dogs cant tell us can they.

I have been taking my Golden Retriever to Old Farm Pet Resort for almost two years now for both daycare and boarding (when I am out of town). They have plenty of play space for the dogs to run around and exercise. I know my dog loves it here because he cant wait to get out of the car when I arrive every morning. When we come home in the evenings, he is so tired after playing all day that he just falls asleep and starts snoring. I also have to say I trust all the employees here 100%. They are very friendly, positive, and respectful, and I know they are also very attentive and make sure all the dogs are doing well. When my dog got sick during one of his stays, they immediately took him to the vet and took care of him. In addition to providing daycare, they also offer grooming, bathing, teethbrushing, etc. at extremely reasonable prices. I prefer to use these services here rather than having to take my dog to another place. I definitely recommend this place to everyone.

I boarded our little dog over Thanksgiving while we traveled. I had read good reviews so I trusted he would be well taken care of. He is older and has special food so I made sure to pack it all for each day and put instructions so they would know exactly when and what to feed him. I came to pick him up and they handed me some of his food, a days worth. I asked about it and let her know he had enough food for EVERY day we were gone and no extra. She said he must not have been eating it and wouldnt really give any other answers. My dog had been having diarrhea which they did tell me over the phone when I called to check up on him, however he was very dehydrated and had lost weight when. I took him home and he just kept drinking water and was starving for food. I fed him and he kept eating like he hadnt eaten in days. So, he was dirty, dehydrated and starving when I brought him home. We will NEVER go here again.

I brought my beagle in for 5 days over Easter weekend. I brought his own food and bedding in. When I picked him up, they first brought out the wrong dog, and then when they did bring my dog out, he was greasy and filthy and his bedding reeked. I took him home, instantly bathed him and immediately the diarrhea and vomiting started. Ive boarded my dog several times before since I adopted him two years ago and NEVER had any problems, but now I am on day 4 of super sick puppy and I am out $300 vet bills (and counting!) to figure out what happened to my dog while in their custody. When I called to complain, I was assured that the waiver I signed in order to drop him off excused them from all liability and essentially they were "sorry" I "had a bad experience," but that was pretty much it. I am sorry too. Im sorry I believed the positive reviews. Do yourself a favor and keep your pets away from this place.

I cant believe its been years since I started taking my little Lhasa Apso, Katie, to Old Farm for Day Care and Boarding, when I first took Katie to Old Farm she was 10 years old and had been to another facility,(whom we will not mention at this time) and was a very old dog then, I noticed early on, after starting at Old Farm, that she was more excited to go and more excited to see me when I picked her up, she acted like a puppy again, 5 years have gone by and she is still excited to go each and every day, she may be a little slower and groucher (because of her age "15" ) but still excited. Whenever I have to board her there for the weekend, I feel very confident that she will receive the best care and be loved by all who come in contact with her. Thanks to the incredible staff for takiing care of Katie Love Muffin!!!

We like these guys. We like them a lot. We moved from Denver about a year ago and have been using them ever since our arrival for weekend boards. We used an upscale place in Denver called City Bark that had doggie cams (and a correspondingly high price). We liked them a lot but dont miss some of these fixings when we know what we want the most for our coonhound mix is consistent care from real pet people. We find we get that here in buckets. The catalyst for this review... we boarded Lucy for a two week trip to Italy; the longest of any our boards, ever. Leslie was quick to provide updates over e-mail and arranged for us to pick-up Lucy a few minutes after closing. Im glad we found the Old Pet Farm Resort. It has everything we want and a very reasonable price to boot. Well done!
