I went to your Church Rd. location in Kansas City today. I was checking out with Rosie. I bought a small container of Vitamin D Milk. Somehow the label had come off of the milk. Rosie told me and then just stared at me. She then placed the milk under her checkout counter. She did not ask if I wanted to get a new one, how much it was, or if she could find someone to do a price check. I guess she assumed I did not want it? Then, in my cart I found that the bag of cheese I had grabbed was split open. I told her and she once again simply put it under her checkout counter. She didnt offer to get a replacement, she just continued scanning items. So, I had to run to the very back of the store to get a new milk and bag of cheese. While I was gone she continued to ring up my order as my husband watched. We purchased a 6-pack of glass bottled beer. She rang it up, and then dropped it onto the bagging area, literally from about a foot above the surface, nearly breaking the bottles. Luckily nothing broke, or I am sure I would have had to go to the back of the store again to get a replacement. I put all of my Price Match items at the end of my purchase. I had a 50% off Keebler Cookies price match from Price Chopper. She said we couldnt do that because it was a percentage off. Then she said, in a quiet voice (almost like she was telling us a secret), that if we knew the price we could do it. She then stood there waiting, I guess to see if we would once again run to the back of the store to find the price, even though she had a scanner right in front of her. Rosie was rude, and acted like she was doing us a huge favor by having us run around the store. She acted annoyed the entire time. I will avoid Rosies checkout line, even it means waiting in another line longer. I have been to this Walmart before and had associates who go out of their way to make sure my visit is pleasant. Rosie did the opposite.

Absolutely terrible service in the tire and lube section. Cole--the guy working the counter yesterday--was of no use at all. I was waiting in line for ten minutes before someone else came in and helped me out. Cole saw me multiple times, and even made eye contact with me, but could not break away from his conversation with other employees to help out a customer. Later, my car goes in for a tire change and almost an hour goes by. The guy who helped me at the desk said there was no wait. Finally Im paged back to the lube expecting my tire to have been replaced, but no. They informed me that my car needs a new rim, which is fine, but what were they doing that whole time? My car was back there the whole time. All they had to do was look--apparently--to tell that the rim needed to be replaced. They were just standing around like a#$holes. I go back to Cole who doesnt have any idea what to do about it. He cant order a rim and he works in the tire and rim department. So he switches me over to another worker named Cody who proceeds to order the tire. Cody was extremely rude and made it seem like it was a hassle to work with me. This, I can handle. He takes the order and tells me that it will be in tomorrow and they will call me as soon as its in... Today, I call in--because I never got a call--and speak with whoever is handling the phones and ask if my rim is in. The guy says hell go back and check. TEN MINUTES PASS! The guy comes back and says that there is a rim but that he has no idea if its mine or not. He says to just come down and see WTF. I say "cant you check and see if its mine or not." He says Cody shouldve given me a slip or something for reference but he did not.... This is my third and final time coming to this wal-marts tire and lube center. Each time has been similar and equally frustrating experience. Lets see if the management does anything about it... I doubt it.

Ive had a few bad experiences at this store, but my last grovery run I made there will now be my last. Upon check-out, the clerk was very talkative. Instead of focusing her attention on ringing out customers, she was too busy chatting up the person she previously checked out and left the man in front of me waiting on her. After he was finished, she began talking to me and my partner the whole time she was ringing out. I dont mind conversation, but I just wanted to grab my few items and go. I watched her put my items in to bags, but her talking was so distracting, I didnt notice that she put 2 items in to one bag, and the rest of my things in another. Afterwards, I got home, thinking everything was there, but it wasnt. 2 items were missing. This is the closest Wal Mart to my home and it isnt a short drive by any means. It really makes you weigh the options of going back or not. I called the store and asked for a manager. She said she was sorry for the inconvenience; typical hollow words from management, but I was polite. This wasnt her fault. She proceeded to tell me that she was going to go look at customer service for the items and came back after a brief hold. She then put me on hold again to go check the register I was checked out at. After about 5 minutes, another woman answered, asking who I was waiting for. I told her, and she said that the manager was a in meeting now and asked if she could take a message. I told the woman to forget it. I was being helped and I shouldve been helped first, or told by the manager herself she would have to get back to me. I will no longer do business at this location. I dont know why I expected so much from people who work at Wal Mart. The loaf of bread I bought had more mental capacity than the employees. If youre wanting a good shopping experience, you wont find it here.

I dont usually hate a shopping experience enough to get on and review it, and I dont usually have high expectations from Walmart. But I have given this location ten to twelve tries, and have been dissatisfied every time. Now I feel the need to go quite a bit out of my way to the Gladstone location, which manages to be exactly the opposite of this location and is well stocked and friendly. But to begin: there are never any handbaskets available if I dont want a cart. I am never greeted. The selection is horrible, and this location is consistently out of stock when it comes to makeup, snack foods, several dairy items, salads, and most of the regular items on my shopping list. I typically wait a solid two and a half to three minutes of standing and staring at the deli associates before I am even acknowledged. I understand being busy, but a "be with you in a minute" would be acceptable. I have worked on the Sams side of Walmart Stores, Inc. when I was in high school, and I know the rule about making eye contact and greeting everyone in your line of vision. None of that happens here. Overall this store is generally clean, and the cashiers are no worse than any other location, and I have to say I am usually wished a good day as I leave. But those tiny things do not make up for the horrible customer service in other areas, and the consistency with which they are out of stock on dozens of basic items I need every time I shop. Walmart is cheaper than surrounding stores, which is the only reason I go there. But now that Im taking time out to go to a different location because this one is so awful, it has become an even greater inconvenience.
