Great sales experience, but do your research on the details. My wife and had been doing a lot of research on and finally decided to buy our first new car, a 2016 Civic. We researched the price, and the lowest we found through TrueCar was at Genthe. They were even lower than Costco pricing. We went in for a test drive and took our time deciding on a color. We talked with Angela and Jason; both were great helping us out, never pushy, and allowed us to take our time with the decision. When it came time to do the paperwork, they handed us off to Don, the finance person. Although polite, Don really pushed us to sign up for $600 loan gap coverage and a $1750 extended warranty. We hadnt researched this and were on the fence, but Don really sold us, saying that he wouldnt let a family member walk out without the gap coverage, and that the auto insurance alternatives were worthless. As for the extended warranty, he gave us the impression that it was a Honda warranty. We bought it because it was the only option he presented us with, and he said there would be a penalty to sign up after we drove away. A week later, I happened to call my auto insurance and found out that they offered gap insurance for $1/month, equivalent to our $600 coverage. Also found out from an online forum that a HondaCare extended warranty could be purchased separately from any Honda dealer, even after buying the car. We called several dealers to shop around for the best price, and ended up getting a similar plan with a lower deductible for $690. Turns out that the warranty Don sold us was through Ethos Group, a company that specifically works to increase dealer revenue. Thankfully Don agreed to cancel and refund our gap coverage and warranty. In short, we had a fairly good sales experience from Genthe and probably would come again if we wanted a new car, but we definitely advise doing your research on the details of the purchase. Buyer beware! Please read if you are considering buying a used vehicle from this lot. Unless you are a mechanic, dont buy from this dealership. I bought a used van there less than 2 months ago. So far we have had to do a balance and alignment, replace a wheel bearing, exhaust, rotors, caliper and repair an oil leak. None of these problems were mentioned during purchase even though I told the guy I would have to trust him because I know very little about vehicles. Some of these were safety issues that Im sure the dealership knew about and should have a responsibility to have fixed before settling to the public, especially being a Honda dealership. They called me to say they dont do the repairs to keep the prices down. If they know about issues they should disclose them. Again, I told him I dont know about cars and would trust him. Sure the vehicle was sold as-is, but they ought to make you aware of any issues they know about.

I originally had my car towed to this dealership because it would not start. After I explained the problem, they fixed only part of it. A week later this left me with a car that didnt start again. I contacted the service department and Jackie called me back very quickly. She apologized for my dissatisfaction and immediately offered to waive the fee for the diagnostic test they had failed to do in my last visit. I had my car brought back, and Jackie was very pleasant and very helpful. She got my car in immediately for the test, and it was discovered I needed a new starter. They replaced the starter same day. I was very displeased with my original experience, but after going back and working with Jackie, my opinion has been turned around. She was so helpful and so accommodating, Id recommend dealing with her to anyone.

I bought a pre-owned GMC Terrain from them -- it was a great experience. Everyone I dealt with was very nice, down-to-earth, chill/not pushy, and none of them had a trace of that car salesman creep factor going on. I dealt with Jason, Matt and Don -- all three were awesome. I had a concern, and they made sure I was happy. Im thrilled with how they resolved the issue...and I LOVE my car!! I got a great deal on my vehicle -- I called two other dealerships that I purchased vehicles from before to see if they had anything comparable, and they didnt come close -- in fact, they both advised me it was a good deal! All around great experience. Highly recommend.

Made a appointment for a door lock repair, which required a ordered part, never received a call that the part came in, followed up and found out the part had been received then scheduled a repair. Went in on the scheduled day and "they" found out another part was needed. At that point, decided to take on the repair myself (four trips to the dealership for the same issue) and disassembled the door and found that no extra parts were in fact needed so I completed the repair. Mega Attitude (in the service department management,) and questionable skills in the repair department. Ill go to Monroe Honda and try them the next time

My experience was fantastic! Everyone that I encountered, made me feel welcomed and treated me like old friend. My salesman, Ivan, provided excellent service, looking after all my needs and providing no nonsense answers. The guys in the office were great too. Overall, Genthe Honda provided 5 star Customer Service. I also have to give a shout out to the Service Manager, Jacqui, she too provides excellent customer service. She makes sure I am satisfied, whenever I have to visit the Service Department. Genthe Hondas overall customer service, has made me a loyal customer.

The service department at Genthe Honda makes getting car repairs a breeze! Their team was on point with everything from the time I scheduled my appointment to the time I cashed out...(where you receive a complimentary car wash coupon) The technician also explained each item that was going to get worked on, and advised on items that will need to be worked on in the future, and the urgency and importance of each. Arrived at 8am on a Saturday for a B1 - oil change, tire rotation. Had spoke with Mike on Friday and he offered a brake rebuild to help extend the life of the brakes. At 45K miles, I agreed. Estimated time 1. 5 hours. Since there is no "shuttle" on Saturday, I walked to the YMCA and worked out. When I returned at 10am, the car was ready and waiting in the front lot. Some mix up as to who had the keys but Mike had hung them in the cashiers office. All work done as expected.
