Nickle and Dime to Death! I have had many types of cars - 3 Volvos, 1 Camry and currently a VW. All of these cars were bought and serviced in Ohio. All of the dealerships were helpful and friendly. If a diagnostic was going to take some time, Id be give a courtesy car for free and told just to return it with the same amount of gas. Then when they figured out what was wrong, Id get a call with the run down and asked if they should proceed. If I said nay, theyd wash the car, say come pick it up when you can and all was said and done. Of course theyd outline things that should be fixed soon if it was going to affect safety and I would fix anything like that immediately. Not here at Fox! Oh no. I told them my issue and suspected it might be the battery connection or the battery since it died before but wanted to be sure that there wasnt any other issues with the electrical system. When I called to get an appointment they said I could get a courtesy car no problem. When I showed up, I wasnt in the books for an appointment, no one there knew who took the call, but they fit me in. So I ask about the courtesy car and they said "We dont do that, its $37.50/day to rent one though, or if your destination is within a 10mi radius our shuttle will take you." Thankfully work was only 8.8 miles away. I then was given a paper that said the diagnostic was going to be $114. WHAT? Okay fine, its my safety... so Ill go along... plus the car was under warranty so it should be covered. I get a call about 2 hours later and they said "Its just a bad battery and loose battery connections. We can replace it for a grand total with diagnostic for around $300" Uh, no."Thats not covered by the warranty?" "no sir, thats a wear part". "Okay, well just tighten up the cables, Ill get a battery elsewhere..." I got picked up, paid $100 (they gave me a small discount after I said it was kind of ridiculous that Im paying them for something I already suspected...), got my keys and saw my car was not washed. TL;DR: Dont go to any FOX dealerships. Theyll nickle and dime you and a horrible experience that will leave you with less cash in the bank. The only reason there is 2 stars is that the staff was friendly and they at least had a shuttle. But the waiting area had a cash vending machine and one pot of stale coffee, unlike the other dealerships that had fresh artisan coffee, fresh fruit, free newspapers and a TV to watch... FOX just is not worth your time.

I had inquired about a Toyota vehicle on the Volkswagon lot. When a lady from the call center called whos name was Laura Barnes, she had told me that she was my contact person...little did i know she was just a lady from the call center and not an actual sales lady. She gave the phone to a Keirsten lady who made an appointment for me to come in and see what kind of deal they could give me. She told me i called at the right time and that they had some deals going on for a couple more days. I told her i didnt want to come in and waste my time if they werent negotiable. She said she would call me back if anything new popped up...i called back the day of the appointment to see what kind of deal they could do on the vehicle i was looking at and i got Laura on the phone and she said that Keirsten would call me back. Sure enough she never did...i still ended up going to the appointment...i walked in and spoke to a different sales guy who seemed pretty cool, and he let me test drive a couple vehicles i was considering. Then he wrote some quotes on both cars. He came back several minutes later with another manager guy and I noticed he quoted me the original internet price on the car that i was most interested in. They were thinking that i didnt see that the price had dropped by $500 bucks like the day before...I told them i though it went down and they played dumb and said that it only makes a $10 dollar difference on your payment. Like they werent aware that they dropped the price? Seriously? Thats not right. I told them Keirsten said you guys had some deals going on till the holiday and they said that was only on new vehicles. I asked them whats the best price they could do on the car and they said thats it. Which was basically no deal...so not only did i waste my time and got these sneaky sales people to act like they were willing to make a deal, they tried to charge me more than what the vehicle was listed for because of the reduced price, thinking i wouldnt of caught it. Wouldnt trust snakes like that. Not a very good way to earn a new customer.

I was about to buy a used 2003 golf. I put money down on it, but another salesperson sold it behind my back the next morning. I talked to the sales manager and told him in order to make things right he would have to bring the price of another car down a significant amount. He brought the price down, and I bought a 2013 Jetta with just under 40,000 miles, with a certified pre-owned warranty for 2 years or 24,000 miles. At roughly 47,000 miles- on a Wednesday, I had a low tire. I had a pressure gauge with me that morning and my rear tires were 34psi and the front left at 31 and right front at 25psi. The service writer told me all my tires were good and they were all at 29psi. On Friday, on the way home, my right front tire went flat and there was no TPMS light on. I put the spare on and on Saturday had them deal with the leak. They said it had a different style plug in it, and patched it. While I was rolling the wheel towards the door, I heard the leak from the night before. They then patched the tire a second time, but the tech was too lazy to balance the wheel when he was done. When I was driving away, the left front tire went low and I had the light come on. I brought it back and Mike Wilhelm (the service manager) refused to fix it. I made an appointment to have the leaking tire fixed and an axle seal replaced under the warranty. I received an email from Mike that he cancelled my appointment. This happened 3 times. Bottom line- I would never recommend Fox to anyone I care about, and I would rather have to pay to have the work done right than to go to Fox and come back 4 times for shady work.

I just leased my second VW (A 2016 Golf TSI) and was greeted by Travis Hamilton when I walked through the door. He was extremely professional, helpful, knowledgeable and was very friendly, making me feel confident that I made the right decision with the car I was about to lease. He went above and beyond to make sure my experience at VW was a good one and displayed the same professionalism and friendliness towards my Mom when she leased her Passat a few days later (as well as my aunt a few months ago!). When leasing (or buying) a car you want to walk away feeling like you had a good experience and would go back to the same Dealership again and that is what I felt after working with Travis. It was so easy! We agree that he is very approachable and the best we have dealt with. I love the Golf and look forward to working with Travis again in the future! Thank you so much!!
