One of the worse service experiences I have ever dealt with in my life. I brought my jeep in to diagnose a strange idling noise. The service rep called me back and said I had a bad water pump and replacement of this part was covered under my power train warranty. He then told me that the mechanic recommends I replace the thermostat as well. The price to replace the thermostat would be $320!!!! Once I started questioning the price he began to tell me that the thermostat is located in a difficult location and the mechanic would take a few hours to replace it. Not knowing any better and since they already had my vehicle I foolishly agreed to the service. Questioning myself, I went to another jeep dealership to ask their service department how long it would take to replace a thermostat on my vehicle. They told me standard replacement time for that part is only one hour which is typically at a $120/hour charge. I immediately called the service rep that was working on my vehicle and said to not replace the thermostat; of course, he told me they already started the work and needed to charge me for it. Keep in mind, they were replacing the water pump which involves taking the thermostat out anyway! I then argued the fact that the standard time to replace a thermostat was only one hour and they were charging me for two. The rep told me that the first hour was to diagnose the vehicle. The main problem was my water pump which is covered under warranty thus, the diagnosing fee is covered under my warranty from Jeep! The rep told me this was not the case and every dealership is different. I called the Jeep warranty customer service directly and they told me that the diagnosing fee is absolutely covered by the manufacturers warranty. As if this wasnt bad enough dealing with being over charged, once I got the vehicle home I started to inspect the work performed. In clear sight, a bolt was barely threaded into my water pump and couldve fallen out with more bump. I called them back immediately and asked to speak with a manager who of course had already left for the day. I was told the manager would call me back first thing in the morning and it is now 5:00PM and I have yet to receive a phone call. I myself tried contacting the manager twice today and havent gotten anywhere. Poor workmanship and even poorer customer service!

Sadly, people generally come on these sites to slam someone because they have to blame others for their miserable lives. They can and will complain about everything. Im not delusional, car buying is one of the most dreaded consumer activities there is and most go into it with bad expectations. In practically no other industry do you have to negotiate the price and terms of your purchase. Not everyone has the stomach for it, and feel bullied or tricked because they suck at negotiating. Many people are even offended if the dealership makes any money. People please, Its a business not a charity. That being said, since 2010 I have purchased 6 brand new and 1 used car from Central in Norwood and have never once had what would be a negative overall experience. yep..7 cars in 6 years. And all of them from Central. I live 45 miles away from Central Dodge and there are 5 Dodge dealers within a 20 mile radius of me, yet I go to Central because they are the best. Things dont always go smoothly, but I ALWAYS leave happy. I first came to Central on a referral, and i quickly saw why. Colleen has always bent over backwards to make sure I was satisfied, and both Zenia and Tim S. have worked hard to earn and keep my business. That is no small feat as I am NOT an easy customer.!! They will get their hands dirty (- Zenia -) and go further than expected to make sure their clients are happy and that we make a deal that works for both of us.. Their efforts are appreciated and rewarded with my loyalty and referrals. There is no other place where I would want to buy a car. Do not buy a Dodge or Jeep without going to see Zenia, Tim, & Colleen @ Central in Norwood.

Their service department earns them a 1 star rating. My family and I have bought 4+ jeeps from here over the years, but I only used their service department for my latest. Heres their track record: 1. New car had a cosmetic defect on the steering wheel. Came back a couple days after purchase to have it fixed. Drove off the lot, air bags light came on immediately. They fixed it quickly, but scratched the steering wheel in the process. Not badly enough to go back to have it fixed, but irritating never the less. 2. Had front end damage, took car the body shop (which is next door at their other dealership). Took almost two months to get the car fixed. They also said the car was ready several times, so I drove 30 minutes to pick it up and was told it wasnt ready. Finally, they didnt fix the adaptive cruise control, which I specifically told them to check, so it had to go back again. They also promised coupons for full detailing for the inconvenience...never received them. They also did a state inspection while it was in the shop, even though they knew it wouldnt pass emissions because it had not been driven in so long. 3. Car wouldnt start, had it towed, took a month to get it back. The sunroof would not fully close afterwards. 4. Took it back to have the sunroof fixed. They said they fixed the sunroof, went to pick up the car a couple days later, and it had been sitting in the lot with the sunroof fully open (thankfully it didnt rain)...and, when I tried to close the sunroof it wouldnt shut so I had to leave it again. Long story short, never take your car here for service.

Had a great experience all around with Central of Norwood. My first encounter was with Johnny Black, who was very helpful & professional in response to my inquiries. I came in on a Friday night to test drive two cars, and Georges Alagha was our Sales Consultant. He was extremely kind, accommodating, and knowledgable from start to finish. I didnt feel "pushed" at all, which was of utmost importance. Sometimes you can feel "watched" like a hawk at a dealership, making you feel uncomfortable, and that was not the case at Central. Everyone I encountered was super friendly and supportive without hovering, or making us feel uneasy. Also of note, I didnt feel rushed in any way. As someone who has a difficult time making decisions, this was refreshing. It was important to me that I felt comfortable and not swayed towards any particular direction. I am happy to report that all of my needs were met, and my expectations exceeded. I ended up purchasing a pre-owned Subaru Crosstrek, which I am absolutely in LOVE with (not to mention, I got a fantastic deal). George has been extremely helpful even after my purchase, answering my questions promptly and thoroughly. Financing was a breeze, and I unfortunately didnt catch his name, but I was particularly impressed with my experience with the finance guy we worked with. He was amazing. Honestly, the entire process was smooth and painless, and I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a new car.

I just bought my second Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland from this dealership and I never thought that I would have done so given the horrible experience Ive had with their service department with my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. The experience I had with Zenia DiSangro in purchasing my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland was top notch and as such she has changed my perception of this dealership. Throughout the experience she dealt with me in a very professional manner and she was extremely knowledgeable as she presented me options that I wasnt aware of before. She also communicated with me very well as the car that I eventually bought wasnt on their lot and had to come from another dearlers lot but throughout that process she provided me with honest and realistic expectation and that was important to me given how busy I am. She handled all of the necessary paper work with my insurance company etc and the car was ready for me when she said it would be. I would definitely work with Zenia whether shes at this dealership or if shes at some other dealership in the future. Also I will not hesitate in referring my family and friends to her. I gave this dealership 4 stars as Im still not sold on their service department as that department has a long way to go before my perception changes of them.
