STAY WOKE First of all I am not the type of person to hold grudges. I was raised to forgive and forget. I dont look to hold hate in my heart but when it comes to JD Byrder I have never felt such a lingering sense of disappointment and letdown in my life and I have multiple siblings. They try to give off this vibe that here at Jd Byryder we do the right thing. They do everything but the right thing. All the way from sales to management to financing and hate to say it even part of the service department. Nothing against the mechanics I know they are working hard day in and day out to make sure these cars are running perfectly.Just like any other service department mechanics will do. I did however find a scratch in my back seat that no one has confessed to. When I do call to make a appointment i get complained to because i keep making appointments......(let that sink in). I have had issues with every department. They take advantage of people that are in the market looking for a used car. They target people who are in need of a car in order to make the most for sales. The way they think is people are so desperate for a car that they come into JD Byryder so they know people who come do not have much options. Again they are aware of your situation but still use that to make money. So what made me reach my boiling point is that when my girlfriend and I were making the deal the GM Ed something with a F for a last name offered us free oil changes for a year. Ok I planned on using this car for Lyft so I said perfect I will actually need that. Mind you oil changes are roughly about 20 dollars USD. Anyways last week I go in for a oil change and they bring me to the front to charge me. I told them I still have free oil changes untill November the guy is like who authorized free oil changes ? I told him Ed he goes get Ed than Ed calls me a liar.. WOAH I thought the customer was always right . Anyways I have a contract stating the terms of the oil change. They told me to get it and when I did show it to Ed he had the audacity to say that was not his signature and that is not how you spell his last name ......... YOOO I WAS MIND BLOWN after that point Ed really showed me his true colors and he is the GM so if that doesnt speak for itself I dont know what would . They also made us sign a contract where we had to sign the contract for our car under a recording. So there is video proof of Ed negotiating and signing the contract for free oil changes . Anyways I have had issues if you want to know more message me and I will gladly tell you but pretty much stay away and save your time and hard earned money. STAY WOKE

Ill be honest, I was kind of upset that the Chevrolet cobalt that I wanted was gone. Daniel helped me, Daniel was ok I feel as Daniel needs to learn how to approach people in a more nicely manner and smile more. As a manager in the hospitality/ customer service world that is one thing we aim for! He also said a weird comment to me while I was waiting, I had my mother and boyfriend with me & Daniel made a comment about "putting my big girl panties on." Im sorry but if you are trying to sell a vehicle you should be very courteous and not make comments like that. I just felt a little rushed in making a decision and they were trying to press this ugly chevrolet sonic car onto me . I know they definitely get commission and I am sorry over all my experience with Daniel was not fun. The way he worked just felt like he didnt feel happy working for the company and he didnt approach you to have you come into his office he made these weird hand gestures. Today I picked up my vehicle and there was a slight problem with the insurance they waited till I got there to explain it to me when they could have just called me but nope I sat in an hour of Boston traffic and then had to call my insurance company which took me another 20 minutes also which made me an hour half late for work as I do not live near Dorchester. I recommend getting a car from them because they do approve with good and or bad credit. Also be aware bring some snacks or something to keep you occupied as there process to get you approved takes FOREVER. I went in there at 2pm and left at 6pm. Also make sure you fill out this survey asap as they will press you to fill it out and wont let you leave till its done which is so dumb!!!

I was referred to JD Byrider by a coworker who said that they helped her very well and made sure she was able to leave with a vehicle. Prior to visiting JD Byrider, I visited 3 different dealerships and each and every one of them that my credit wont allow me to purchase a vehicle without a cosigner. I went to JD Byrider with no expectations. I was prepared to leave without a vehicle. When they came back to me and told me that we have some vehicles for u to choose from, it honestly didnt seem real. They explain everything in detail, were very thoughtful and understanding of my needs, and gave me tips and insight on I will able to better my credit and save money as I make my monthly payments. This was a big moment for me, being 27 and purchasing my first car. For a while, I thought this would never happen. JD Byrider gave me that opportunity. I recommend JD Byrider to anyone with good or bad credit looking to purchase a used vehicle. Thank you, JD Byrider!

My daughter is a customer there. She bought a car a month ago and just about every week she has to bring back at least 3 times for NO AC, the car shakes, and engine light is on, they said they fixed it. Guess how they fixed the shaking, with a bungee cord which didnt do the trick. People these cars are not checked when brought in and if it is, they didnt do a damn thing about it. Still today, they have the car but yet she is making payments on it. Every week that she brings back, causing her to be late for work and costing her unnecessary money being a single parent with 2 kids. You know thats not right. She has a LEMON. I wish she had taken it to a mechanic first as I instructed her to do. JD RYDER, do the right thing and fix that car right. She is driving around kids. Treat these customers better than you have, after all, if it wasnt for these customers, you would not have a job. Make this wrong a right.

Right off the bat let me say this review is entirely me and my own views. So while driving on the highway in Dorchester I ran a flat, I pulled off the highway and managed to get into a car dealership. While changing my tire Im approached by an associate.. I assume Im about to be asked to leave but instead I was faced with help. Nothing but a helpful, upbeat, and can do attitude. I was floored. The associate (Ben poisson) went above and beyond even went as far as to check the tire pile to see if they had a tire to throw back on the full size rim! Quite honestly the most well run, helpful, and down to earth dealership I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. I will one hundred percent keep this establishment in mind for my future car needs as my experience has Me absolutely convinced this is where I would trust my vehicle to be repaired.. or even buy a new one.
