I spent weeks (months if you count the wishing) shopping for a bike. As a intermediate rider buying his first real bike(not a department store bike), I had a good idea what I wanted, and a fairly low price range. I shopped around, looked at some nice bikes at a few of the more mainstream local shops. None of them felt quite right, they were all a little more than I planned to spend, and the salespeople were big on the upsell. Ready to buy, I set out on July 4th, I took one last look at a few bikes at one of the shios, and was prepared to buy it, when I decided to take a quick look at this small shop I had driven by... THNAK GOD I did. The owner greeted me, I told him my budget, and rather than try to upsell he quickly showed me the perfect bike right in my price range. After a test ride (during which I fell in love with it), and a quick lunch to contemplate my choice, I bought itm and am now a customer for life. I am only glad I shopped the other places to see what I was missing here. Great bike (Kona Fire Mountain), great service, great shop, great prices!!! DONT MISS!!

Bought bike there and part of the sale was "free tuneups". Brought it in for a free tuneup. On pickup I was charged 69.99 for tuneup alone, and they also did work on it which was not approved or expected-with an additional charge for "parts and labor.!" Owner was snippy and unfriendly. He was rude and expected me to shell out the money without explanation (what work they had done and why); found out he was guessing as to what really was done, because it didnt match up. He had an attitude and said complain all you want, but I wasnt complaining. I was just trying to get information/explanation for what he chose to do- without permission, and at a high price! Tuneup was supposed to be free. Then he said "Yes, but not this time! "Not a business that I would recommend to anyone!

These guys are great. Even the owners son, who must be in his teens, has great work ethics. I am very confident that they will be around for a long time. Riding on the B&O trail from the BWI trail, I started to hear some drivetrain noise. I normally stop at Sofias to grab a drink, but decided to go to the bike shop to see if they can help me out. The young man was very helpful, took care of me right away and didnt charge me for the drivetrain issue. I have him a tip and bought some small stuff from there and left. The bike worked like it was new. These guys know their stuff. I am all for supporting local businesses and not large chain stores especially when they give you service like these guys. Keep up the good work.

I was in a jam. I flew into Baltimore to start my coast to coast bicycle tour, and I noticed my bicycle had been mishandled at the airport (spacers on my handlebars were missing). I took it to Bike Doctor for help, and they responded with, "Your bicycle is in total disrepair. With the parts and labor, we wont be able to get to this until Thursday." It was Sunday, and Bike Doctor expected me to shell out the cash for their repairs PLUS staying in hotels for the week. I hobbled down to Pedal Pushers (only two miles away), and they fixed me up in 15 minutes and tuned up my bicycle. Thats how a real bicycle shop employed by actual cyclists helps a bicycle tourist.

Convenient location. Owner or employee was unfriendly seem snippy and didnt seem like he wanted to give us the time a day. Was told one price from one some fixing the bike and then when cashing out was told different price. Brought in a buy two get new tires, left the store and had a come back the next day and to get it fixed. For the price we have to pay for the tires wasnt worth having to come back to get it fixed. if the work was done the right way the first time there would have been no reason to come back to get it fixed wasnt inconvenience.

I drive 45 minutes, pass several bike shops, just to have Rod work on my bikes. The epitome of small family run "Mom and Pop" business. Highly recommend ALWAYS. When I ride the Baltimore and Annapolis trail, I always make it point to stop in and say hello and Rod always checks the bike. Big corporate cycle shops could learn a lesson or two about customer service from Rod and his team. Most places give you a one-time tune up when you purchase a bike...Pedal Pushers gives you lifetime tune-ups. Unprecedented. Again, HIGHLY RECOMMEND Pedal Pushers

Very nice people. Took my bike in to have my brakes worked on. Expected it would take a couple of days and cost $$$. Instead they got my bike running again in 20 minutes while I waited, and charged me almost nothing. They even were nice enough to take care of some extra rattles that was going on in my rear axle for no additional charge, without me even asking. Would recommend Pedal Pushers to anyone. They also had a decent selection of new and slightly used bikes, as well as other gear.

Stopped in to look at a few bicycle options. The owner (?) talked about a few bikes and then set up a couple that we could try out on the bicycle trail behind the shop. When we were finished, we spoke a bit about how we might have to transport the bike to ride it somewhere safe and then just chatted for a bit. I would have no problem at all purchasing a bicycle here. Its a friendly shop and very convenient to the trail.

No other shop would even talk to me about repairs on my (Schwinn Airdyne) exercise bike. Pedal Pushers recommended another place (that was a dead end), but offered to take a look and do repairs if they didnt require special parts. I dropped it off and got it back in 24 hours. When I said nobody else would even look at my bike the (owner?) said "their loss." Absolutely - now I wont go anywhere else for repairs!

Rod was an extremely down to earth guy who showed us exactly what he thought we were looking for. After riding the bike we explored 3 other bike shops in the area and found that they could not match the price, quality, and as the other reviews have indicated, the service. We plan to be faithful customers as long as we still live in the area and would give this quaint, local business a five star rating.

I am a resident of Severna Park and always look to support local business. However, I have been in this store twice while looking and both times the employee(s) / owner have been short and un-freindly. I was in there looking for a bike carrier for my car and they acted as if they were annoyed by my questions. I took my business elsewere. Not to mention they are way over priced.

I recently upgraded my vote from 1 to 4 stars. my first experience wasnt good at all. I wanted them to order a part for me and after 2 weeks of the run around i ordered it myself. I decided to go to them to install the part and they actually did it without charging me. The staff was very knowledgeable and took their time to do things right.
