So even with the the reviews online still went here to get my bike fix. Larry is a great guy but the other staff oh lord especially their manager are something else. Took it for a new shifter and handle bars tape. They charged me $179.99 for LABOR PACKAGE ANNUAL PEAK PERFORMANCE. $9.98 FOR PIT STOP STAINLESS ROAD BREAKE service. LABOR PER 10 MINUTES $30.00. SIS CABLE HOUSING SYSTEM BLK 4MM $9.95. BAR TAPE $19.99. CABLE END CRIMPS 1.8 MM BOTTLE.$0.44. So $250.31, then a week later the Manager calls me to ask me if I wanted the shifter replaced cuz it was broke? And Im like what? Thats the reason I took the blasted bike there in the first place. So he said that it was extra. I paid a $50.00 deposit then paid $234.53 when I pick the bike. Are you F@#$%& serious? Stay has far away has u can front this scammers. Drive to CONTES BIKE SHOP INSTEAD, I walk their and they said the service is only about half of what I paid. They were shocked when I show them what I paid. Plus they are super kind and dont make u feel like u dont belong just the opposite I felt welcome from the moment I step in that store. Do they say I didnt warned you.

This is my first google review and I think they are well deserving of it. My husband bought me a bike from 1957 and of course none of the parts were standardized for today, but the seat needed to be badly replaced. It seemed like the diameter of the seat post was no longer being made, neither were converters to fit modern seats to the post. Yet, they looked anyway and found that the diameter had been converted to another number and the top of the post was flared out to fit normal seats! They stayed with us for an hour trying to figure it out and in the end we now have a brand new seat and post for my pretty pretty bike. I will be going there for all of my bike needs from now on.

As an avid cyclist I have shopped at every bike shop in the area, and have always found BikeBeat to be my favorite. IMO the service staff is the best, they have always made sure I knew what needed to be repaired and how much it was going to cost upfront, no surprises. As for the rest of the staff including the manager, they have always taken the necessary time to answer my questions and share their knowledge.

I am a rider for bike and build a nonprofit that raises money for affordable housing and advocates for it. When we started our trip Yorktown a few of us were down on our luck with bike repair but bike beat came to the rescue. The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help with even the stupidest problems. When in Yorktown this is the only shop that I will go to.

I needed help boxing up my bike to ship home after finishing the Transamerica Trail. Chris and the staff were super helpful, giving me a bike box and loaning me a stand, tools and packing materials. Chris also advised me on the best way to handle the shipping, which worked out very well. Two thumbs up for this shop!

I cant speak as an avid cyclist since Im not one, but I was very pleased with the customer service here. Recently bought bikes for my family here. The staff was super helpful and nice. I also appreciated that the store was clean and uncluttered feeling. I felt very at ease there.

Very unfriendly, called and asked a simple question about a bike chain and basically was treated like an idiot, the guy had a cocky sarcastic tone in his voice the whole time. Thank goodness another bike shop just recently opened right up the street.
