Essence of a Belle
This was the absolute worse experience ever! Id rather build a car from scrap than to go to this place ever again. I bought my car from here in March. I put over 2 grand down for a car that I didnt even get to pick. Apparently, it was the only car I could get approved for. I call BS. Anyways, I paid $178.00 for them to get my registration done. My tags were expiring on April 15...on April 13, I still had not received a call letting me know that my hard tags had come in, so I, the CUSTOMER, had to call the incompetent lady, Nina or whatever her name is and ask where my tags were...of course, she didnt know and said she would give me a call back. Im sure youve guessed, she did not call me back. I called her back the next day and she said that I would need to bring my car in before I get my tags...What?! So I bring in the car, and she tells me that I would need to leave the car there for a few hours so they could have a mechanic match the engine block serial number to the VIN number. She said this was the reason why the MVA could not give me my tags...WHY WASNT THIS DONE BEFORE THEY GAVE ME THE VEHICLE?! Working full time and having a child, I could not leave my only source of transportation there for several hours. I left and called the MVA to ask them what was going on exactly because everything Amko was telling me, seemed too sketchy. The MVA had no clue what I was talking about and said that the only reason I couldnt get tags, was because of a fine I owed. So, to cut out all of the BS I went to the MVA myself paid the fines, and paid $135.00 and was promptly granted my tags. I called Amko and said that I would need a full refund for my registration and I would show the receipt showing that I had to pay out of pocket for their lack of competence. The Nina lady agreed and so I made the trip up there to get my refund. However, once I arrived, she told me that she could not give me the check becuase So-and-So had to sign it and he wasnt in that day...So I asked her when he would be in. Of course, she didnt know, but said she would give me a call when he was in and let me know when I could come pick it up. 2 WEEKS go by before I received a call. I finally went to go pick up the check and saw that it was only for $135.00...Immediately, I became furious, I showed her and the Buccimi guy the receipt from when I purchased the car and it stated I paid $178.00...They figured I should only get the $135.00 since thats how much I paid the MVA and they said there were fees since they went through an outside source...THEY WENT THROUGH AN OUTSIDE SOURCE AND DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! This place is a discombobulated scam! To top things off, theyre giving people false carfax and information. After having the car for about 2 weeks, it began to smell like mold. I took it to a mechanic and he said the car had without a doubt been in a flood. It makes sense. The car was sold without any floor mats and the cushioning underneath the floor boards are destroyed due to water damage. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF AND DO NOT GO HERE. EVEN THE GUY THAT SOLD ME THE CAR HAS SINCE QUIT THIS SCAM OF A DEALERSHIP. I WILL be pursuing further action against them.

Started out ok, went south from there. I found the car I liked on their website, contacted them and made a deal. I was living about a 100 miles away and discussed this with them. We made arrangements for me to come down by train and have someone pick me up from the station and take me to the dealership. I gave them a $2000 deposit and all my financing information over the phone and through email a week prior to travel. I booked my ticket and spoke with a representative the night before I traveled down. That morning at 7:30am when I was getting off the train at BWI airport, I received a call from AMKO. I thought it was to ask where I was, so they could pick me up, but instead it was a call to inform me that the vehicle had been sold. When I asked how they could take my $2000 deposit, talk to me at 7pm the night before and then sell the vehicle, I was told I would have to talk to the manager. Over 10 calls in the next 4 hours, I finally got a manager, who said I had to speak with the owner. Another 3 hours passed, with repeated promises to call me back or stories of busy meetings, I finally decided to buy a return ticket (yes I was still at the train station, since they would not come and pick me up, to handle this matter at their office like professionals). While traveling home around 4pm I finally received a call from the owner, who claimed they didnt sell the car, but that it was not in good enough condition for them to sell. They didnt even have the car in their posession. To make matters worse, getting my deposit back took weeks. Apparently they didnt know how to reverse the charge on a credit card and that was from the finance manager himself. It wasnt until I said I was contacting Visa myself to have the charge disputed that they finally figured out how to process my deposit refund. Why would they list a vehicle that was in such bad shape they couldnt sell it? Why would they take a deposit on a vehicle they couldnt sell and didnt even have? Why would they make arrangement for someone to travel from out of town and confirm those plans at 7pm the night before? How hard is it to process a refund especially if you are listed as the manager of that department? If you couldnt reverse the charge, couldnt the business simply send me a check or wire transfer for the amount they owe me? Horrible customer service, shaky business practices and lack of professionalism, force me to give this business the worst possible rating available. I recommend anyone considering doing business with them, especially if its not in person, be vary wary of this business. How they have an A+ rating from BBB is beyond me, probably because of people just like me who either waited to report their dissatisfaction or just didnt do so at all, either way its not a rating they deserve.

I dont even know where to begin when it comes to this company. This has been by far, my the worst experience Ive ever had buying a car in my life. These guys are a bunch of shady, disrespectful liars!!! They would give me a complete run-around with everything. I would call numerous times every week for 6 months and was always told that my phone call would get returned and it never was. When I finally did get a hold of the guy I wanted to talk to (Ramel Clash) he would put me on hold and never pick back up. This has happened numerous times. The car that I purchased, someone had filled radiator with stop leak because there was apparently a crack in the cylinder head that someone tried to seal up. Now, the car not only needs an engine but a whole new cooling system also because the stop leak clogged the heater core and radiator. Plus there are about $5,000 worth of other repairs that should have been done before I even purchased the car. The back wheels were cracked on the back sides and someone put j.b. weld on them to try to seal them, I had to replace the tail light cause it had a leak and the LED burnt out, the clutch starting slipping the day after I bought the car, bad speed sensors, bad TPM sensor, NOTE: these were all issues with the car before I bought it but I wasnt aware if until after things started happening with it and I took it to my mechanic. All I can say is, TAKE MY ADVICE, save your money, and spend it elsewhere!!!
