The absolute worst--and ongoing--customer experience of my life. In early October 2016, I purchased a living room set (e.g. coffee table, end tables, entertainment stand and sofa tables) with a scheduled delivery of October 14, 2016 between 8:30am and 12:30pm. Though a four hour window seemed excessive, I was looking forward to receiving the furniture and putting the final touches on my new apartment. When the delivery crew did not arrive at 12:30pm, I called Ashley Customer Support to get a timing estimate, and was told that the delivery crew would arrive in 30 minutes. They apologized about the delay, and indicated that the morning truck was overloaded, and my furniture had to be placed on a separate truck. The delivery crew did not arrive within those 30 minutes; they arrived to my house a little after 7:30pm, with no additional communication between 12:30pm and their time of arrival. No apology was offered. The delivery was very rushed, and I was not provided with time to carefully inspect each of the pieces. Upon further inspection, I noticed that there was a chip in the coffee table, which required a replacement unit. Additionally, the shelves for the entertainment center were not delivered, requiring me to call customer service (again) to get those items delivered to my apartment. During this call, I was told that the delivery crew would be unable to drop off the shelves, as the vehicles are wiped clean each night, and that a separate order would need to be placed using UPS, and that I could expect to receive the shelves within 3-5 business days. After I returned home from a business trip 10 days later, the shelves had still not arrived, leaving me once again to call customer service to resolve the issue. During this conversation, I was told that an order for the shelves had not been placed. Fortunately, the customer service representative was able to assist with this request and get the shelves sent overnight. My frustrations were voiced with Ashley Furniture management, where they indicated that my delivery fees would be waived given the tardiness of the drivers and the other issues that presented themselves during my "experience". Though I did not feel that waiving the delivery fee was adequate compensation for the error, it was a step in the right direction. Fast forward to November 22nd, when I realized the credit had not been applied to my account, requiring my to follow up with Ashley Furniture again. The Customer Service Representative mentioned that the memo to waive my delivery fees was created on October 18, but there was no account number attached to the request. Instead of following up with me, the customer, to resolve the issue, Ashley Furniture compounded their previous errors by intentionally choosing to ignore the request, in the hopes that I would forget about the refund. Management offered me a $50 store credit for my troubles, which included additional time off from work and nearly 20 hours on the phone with customer service. I politely declined the credit, as I never intend on making another purchase with Ashley Furniture.

I will say I bought a couch from here and it was a ROUGH start. A) Communication about what side the chaise needs to be on was a mess. I explained where I would need the chaise based on me sitting down, but just so youre aware it is determined by you facing the couch. The salesperson did not explain this and clearly misjudged my explanation of where I needed it when I was in the store. B) When it was delivered the couch was too big, so I had to go back and get a new, smaller one. This was entirely my fault as I estimated instead of truly taking measurements. I will admit to this fault. C) I bought a smaller couch, which was less expensive than the previous couch, which I would think I would see some money back. Nope, I got an in-store credit, which I get, but wasnt the biggest fan of this method. Last, my new couch was delivered to the wrong address, as my billing address and shipping address were different. I clearly specified this in the store, and well the prior couch made it to the right address, so I would think this wouldnt be an issue the second time around. I called immediately after the delivery guy notified me he was "here" (at the wrong address), and luckily they arranged it to be delivered the same day. So I was satisfied with this portion of my experience, I suppose. My advice, from experience is, 1) know your measurements (lesson learned), 2) check over all the invoices and materials they provide in order to ensure they have the information correct, and 3) be ready for some inconvenience and miscommunication as it appears that may be inevitable. They rip me off. First review in my entire life. 7/27/16, i bought furnitures here in total amount of $1978.00 They said will accept the check so i paid with my business check. 2days later, they called me and said cant accept the business check. That is fine. Things could happen. So i went to the store on same day they called to pay the open balance with my credit card because they will not accept my check. I was speaking to Manager ***TONY***( should never be a manager ) to pay the balance and he started to give me an attitude saying how i messed things up? serious?? so i got little upset and asked him to do the payments quickly and what he said to me? DONT TELL ME WHAT TO DO. Are you f**king serious?? Well, I had to pay the balance so i paid with the credit card. I walked away quietly because i thought i will never see TONY again and never coming back this worst furniture store. HERE IS THE BEST PART! THEY JUST CLEARED MY CHECK TODAY 9/2/16 THAT I PAID AT FIRST. THEY MADE ME COME AND PAY THE BALANCE WITH MY CREDIT CARD BECAUSE THEY CANT NOT ACCEPT THE CHECK. AND CLEAR THE CEHCK AFTER 2 MONTH??? just horrible, pathetic, worst customer service, worst store manager, worst finance system. It is just the W O R S T! If you ever go here(please dont) do not write a cehck because they will take chance to do double payments in case you dont check your bank often. DO NOT GO HERE BUT IF YOU HAVE TO, void TONY

Just about 3 years ago my family remodeled our home and furnished it with Ashley Furniture. We bought a three piece sectional (with a chase lounger), a side table and lamps, and a 10 person dining room table and 8 chairs. We thought we were buying quality furniture that would last and grow with our family. We spent a lot of money. Unfortunately, we were wrong. After just a year our couch was ruined. All the cushions were sunken in and the lining/piping were misaligned and just ugly. The actual fabric on cushions were creating little balls of fabric. After just a year, we had to purchase a new couch from Macys. The Adhley Furniture couch is now our basement couch and never used. The only thing Ashley Furniture would do is send me a new chase cushion (mind you, the other cushions dont come off). Its been two years since weve had our couch from Macys and it still looks like new. We are now in the market for a new dining room table. Just after 3 years, the finish is coming off, there is a broken leg, and the chairs constantly have to be tightened. The first time we tightened one of the legs on table, it stripped. buttons on the chairs keep coming off. Warning...If you are thinking about buying anything from Ashley Furniture, please think twice. Their products are not high quality and you will end up spending more money in just a few years!
