This hardware store is fantastic! Over the years they always had almost everything we needed to remodel our 1920s fixer-upper house. Great lumber selection, stock all kinds of building materials and tools. They are always super nice and helped me figure out how to complete certain projects on numerous occasions. The best part is they only stock what makes sense, they usually have a name-brand for an item and also a generic for cheap (usually from the Do It Best coop), so its easy to decide whats best without going through endless isles like in big-box stores (I dont even remember when was the last time I had to go to a big-box store like HD or Lowes, this place is so easy to navigate and they always have the right parts).

Its the only place I know of where they will rip cut wood for custom pieces, try getting that at home depot, staff goes out if their way to help. Prices are the same as the big box stores. The guys that work there are actual tradesmen, not some idiot who used to be an accountant and lost their job during the recession.

THe ownder here is super nice! He gave us free palletts, while big chains charge upwards of $20.00 per item. It made funishing our small apartment at North Park University even easier with his friendly service. He even helped us load our stuff up before sending us on our way!
