This review was originally posted approx. 2 months ago on my Facebook page and, after what happened today (June 23rd), I feel the need to share on Google as well. My husband had to bring his laptop into the Algonquin store for service a couple of times (adware/spyware removal & something else) and never had any issues except that it was returned with a cracked bezel which he disregarded. We recently had to bring the laptop in as it fell and cracked the casing around the LCD screen and have had nothing but issues. First, we were quoted the wrong price by 2 people, then we found out that it was transferred up to Delavan for repair without our knowledge as they fired their tech in Algonquin, told me that they were just replacing the bezel but then when I paid for it was told that I was being charged for the bezel and housing (the tech argued that he did tell me but the clerk deducted the charge), they misplaced my charging cord so I had to wait another 2 days for them to locate it. When I opened the laptop to use it after charging it, I noticed that the cover for the camera was missing. The manager (Bob) called the tech in Delavan who apparently was upset about having to correct the issue but I was promised by Bob that they would find the piece or John (tech) could make a new cover as that was unacceptable for them to return it without the cover. This was on a Thursday and I never heard anything so I followed up on Tuesday. Jesus said hed check and call me back. He left a message saying they had 2 pieces and, if I could bring my laptop in for 2 hours, theyd get the piece on there. I returned the call and spoke to someone else who said that there were no notes in the system regarding the call (not the 1st time) so he put me on hold and connected me to Jesus. I said Id try to get in later that week but didnt come in until the next week and Jesus doesnt remember anything and said that the notes stated that they were unable to find the piece. He called John who said that he hadnt found the piece so there wasnt anything they could do. I asked Jesus to call Bob (or give me his number) to get this straightened out and he refused to do it. Jesus offered to take my number but I refused and asked that he call Bob while Im there. I said that I could not rely or depend on anyones word except for Bobs since, obviously, there is a major communication and integrity issue. He finally resigned, or so I thought and spoke to someone in the back, then returned and said that Bob would be in at 4:30pm to relieve him (why didnt Jesus know this when I asked him?) so Ill be going back to get this straightened out and NEVER, EVER will be doing business with them again! UPDATE AS OF 6/23: Bob promised to fix it and called me about 4-6 weeks ago stating that they found the part but it would take a couple weeks for them to get it in. I followed up today, spoke with Jose who was unable to locate Bob, and stated that the part was never ordered per the notes and the part is no longer available. Asked to have Bob call me back since he, obviously, blatantly lied to me. Extremely disappointed!

Absolutely horrible experience. They told me it would take just a few days to fix my phones. The first one was done relatively quickly, within a few days however when I got it back it was in horrible condition. They insisted that is how it arrived. Secondly, the buttons were put back in upside down, the sensor did not work and the screen was torn on the back. This is the phone that they were able to fix after taking it back twice. The second phone, after a week of no call an no update, I called and they said oh we have been waiting for the unlock code! I guess I was supposed to know to call them and give it to them. Another week, nothing.. so I call, still not working we will let you know at the end of the week. Guess what?? no call again! So I call, well we are still working on it. Dont you think a professional would at least have the courtesy to call with a status?? So 1 month and 1 week later I finally call and the guy tells me oh yeah the phones are done, again I am thinking to myself "for how long"? I never got a call and assume I would not have known unless I called. Seriously stay away from this place. Very unprofessional, although I will say the owner seems like a nice guy, the staff is terrible. I will never take another phone to this place, I would rather pay full price than deal with this cr*p again. Can I give zero stars?

I drove 45 minutes to this store and dropped off my daughters ipod touch to have the cracked screen replaced for $125 as the owner/manager had told me the night before. He promised they would repair same day as we were leaving on vacation. When I got there the owner/manager was not there and the price had mysteriously gone up to $135. I left it anyway and they told me to come back at 6:00. I was running a little late and arrived at 6:15. They told me the ipod was not repaired and when I asked how much longer it would take they said they hadnt even started it and that "something else came up". I asked them to get the guy in back who had promised me it would be ready and they said he wasnt there although it is a small shop and I saw him in the back when I arrived. I was infuriated because we had a long car ride ahead of us to Florida and my daughter was counting on this to keep her occupied. The good news is that I took it to the Apple store when I returned and realized I should have done that in the first place. They replaced it FOR FREE and even if they hadnt they said it would only be $125 to get a brand new one from them since it was still under warranty. Plus, it wouldnt be a replaced screen which is what CPR was going to do and didnt even guarantee. Save your time and money and avoid this shop.

I thought this place was to good to be true when coworker told me about it. I had cracked my screen after dropping my phone, I thought for sure I would either have to pay a fortune or wait 6 to 8 weeks before I got my phone back in working condition. I tell you I should have done less thinking and just brought the phone here sooner, 25 minutes and $ 60 later my phone is like new, Bob and his staff are incredibly knowledgeable and will show you whats wrong before you pay Im extremely impressed and very happy with the service CPR provides.

I will say that they did fixed my HTC screen after I dropped it. It took four days, for the parts they said they had in stock. In the process the messed up the software, which they could not fix after another 3 days. I sent it back to HTC to fix it. It took them 3 days including shipping. Communication is terrible! I asked them several times to call me or email the status of the repair, never once called. Save your self the trouble and send back to the manufacturer. There techs arent certified on HTC phones.
