American Freight was very convenient when we moved to the Tampa area from Virginia. We were sleeping on inflatable mattresses while waiting for the moving truck to arrive and needed to replace our old mattresses. We walked in, and literally 20 minutes later (probably less), walked out with 2 comfortable, quality mattresses within our budget. They were delivered promptly within about 2 hours, and I finally slept soundly. The Excelsior is an incredible buy - as comfortable as mattresses that cost 3 times as much! They also carry big brand names, and other attractive furniture. The whole experience was very positive. By the way, I dont understand why people feel the need to write putdowns here. If you have something negative to say, be direct and explain what happened, take the time to say something meaningful. I didnt see any roaches, but geez, arent they Palmetto bugs and everywhere in Florida?

The prices are decent, but, thats as far as it goes. Purchasing from here is like dealing with used car salesman. The furniture quality is ok at best. The delivery service is a third party and there is almost no communication between them. We were told a proce for pickup and delivery of our furniture and then the driver told us $30 more when he arrived. I have since been in contact with store management and even district management who assured me of a refund. It has been almost 2 months now and still no refund. Theu also "threw in" the anti stain coating, but, I had to fight to get them to put that in writing so the service would be warranted on paper. Furniture was delivered with rips and tears. Took them a week to send a replacement piece. They also tried to give me the floor model ottoman in place of a brand new one hoping that we wouldnt notice. Place is a borderline scam.

Bought a couch...had for 3 months wife found that arm had broken piece under fabric. Called store.. take a photo for warranty...how do you take a photo of this when its hidden under fabric? Was told to cut a hole in couch to get a photo. Went into store to talk to a manager... was told he would take care of me by Friday..That was 2 months ago! Now I have a 7 month old Ashley made couch that has some part of the frame broken (was only 3 months old when we found the problem) i had to pay $50.00 to have it delivered 1.4 miles away from their store and no one wants to do anything about it. I want the couch fixed or replaced!

I prefer to give 3 star and its because the deals they provide on mattress are excellent. They have good staff and are helpful. The only thing which I felt not good is with the purchase of mattress protector as the quality was not great and it’s highly priced ($89) I went to return back the protector but I been told that I need to contact the manufacturer. When I contacted them they said that cannot be returned and money will not be refunded back. So, please be careful while purchasing the mattress protector [dreamGUARD]. Please, rethink before you buy this protector.

Had a very BAD EXPERIENCE bought couches here after a yr the leather started peeling off AND I BOUGHT THE FIVE YR WARRANTY bt was told theres nothing they can do i called the number they gave me same story NEVER AGAIN WILL I SPEND MY MONEY THERE EVER and i will tell everyone i know about my experience with them..they do have good deals bt u get what you pay for??

Great Service!! I moved here in February and had absolutely nothing went there got all I needed for a very low price and super easy assembly. Just went there again to get a few more things same great service as the first time. Daniel recognized us and gave us a great deal!

Friendly, helpful employees. There if you need them but allow you to look on your own. Very reasonable prices. Kind of limited selection of stuff but I would absolutely shop there again. Purchased box springs and mattress 3 yrs ago still like new. Sectional sofa today.

My bedroom set took 2 months to receive after pay off. Our living room set is now at 4 months and counting. Wont come back. Dont shop here unless they have it in store to take home that day.
