Thursday Dec 05, 2013 I was looking for a Santa pattern for XXX-large people. I found the pattern on line but wanted to verify it. My call was answered by Linda. I was put on hold and later disconnected. I gave her the item number and explained what I was looking for. No help at all. I called back and was told there was a difference between Joann dot com and Joanns fabrics on the internet. Then Linda asked for my number so she could call me back. Never got a call back from Linda. By Friday evening I went there in person armed with a print out of the McCalls Pattern and number. Megan took me to the drawer of patterns and pulled the pattern out right away. Next was a trip to buy decent fabric and the stuff neded to make the idea inot a reality. A quality Santa Suit. I could not ask some one to be more helpful in person with getting what I needed and taking care of me at the cash register too. Due to a crippling case of Gout, I was having a hard time walking and I was trying to make my time walking count. Your phone service needs help from some one who cares. Although I had a bad experience trying to make sure the pattern was in stock and would be there by phone, the in store service was great. Megan even took the time to help me use my smart phone for a 50% off coupon.

Overall experience was ok. We stopped by one day to get some fabric to finish off one of our outfits we were making for a show. The staff knew where everything was, but the lady who cut our fabric was rude. Now maybe she was just having a bad day, I am not the one to judge. But she spoke to us in a manner as if we had no clue what we were doing and it came off as very rude. I have never had a poor experience in an Jo Anns, but this was enough for us to not want to come back to this location. From now on we will do our shopping at Jo Anns in winter garden.

Great for crafts, hobbies, and of course fabric. As you would expect, they have a very large selection of fabrics and sewing equipment. But they also have a lot of other craft items as well. Paints, jewelry, kids crafts, yarn, framing and much more. While it can be tough to find an employee (they seem to be chronically understaffed), the are knowledgeable, friendly, and generally helpful. Be sure to check for online coupons as they often have several.

Jun 2015: Line time has improved over the last few visits, and Kendra in particular today brought them up from 1 to 4 stars. Ive never had such good and friendly service at a Jo-Ann store that wasnt from a relative. :) Mar 2015: Add 15-20 minutes to pay on average. The last three times here, they had one register open to serve over a dozen customers in line, and seemingly no interest in fixing that.

Worst Joanns ever! Call about a paper piecing ruler. Said they had a few, quoted the price, and everything. Got there and nobody knew anything and of course no ruler. There was 20 people in line, one register open and the lady was 100 years old and slow. Ill dry an hour out of the way before I ever go there again!

Great selection of craft items at a decent price, however be prepared for a long wait. The staff are always spread thin and those poor souls are stuck doing the work of multiple employees all at the same time trying their best to provide good customer service. They are usually very nice though given the strain of it all.

This store is unorganized. They never have enough employees especially at checkout. The line today had over twenty people and two checkers... And no, this was NOT a rock concert or even a good roller coaster! I wish for the days of the mom and pop little craft stores. I hope never to go back.

Joanns is our favorite craft store for fabric. They run great sales and honor all the coupons that they can. We visit this store as often as we can, we are always making some kind of craft. But the bathrooms do smell bad all the time. It smells like the drains are the cause of the nasty smell.

This is the best place for yarn and fabric, also kids projects, anything else, you wont find much here...and the mark up on seasonal items is obscene...if you can offer something at 70% off, then its original price is over inflated...

I wish they had better fabrics. But for the little stuff they will have to do. The store manager Julie is very unprofessional to the customers and just down right nasty to the staff. Other than that its an ok store.

The store is big and they have a large assortment of items. They often have sales. In the back of the store is more framed pictures. You can take your time and browse no one rushes you. Cashiers very friendly.

Well, Its like the name suggests: They have Fabrics and stuff for craft making. I come here to buy stuff for costumes or when my grandmother comes to visit. That lady loves this place. Yarn on Yarn on Yarn.

They have an okay selection of items. Everything always seems to be on "sale," so the regular-price only coupons dont really apply much. Also, the restrooms smell like old spaghetti.

Compare to other Joanns, this one is Meh. Crowded and messy, staff is just ok. My favorite Joanns is the Altamonte location. Colonial should take lessons from them.
