The store is ok, but if you need your fabric cut the service is not good. Go to Hancock Fabric or Textile Fabric. This JoAnns need better customer and sometimes you cant find an employee to help you. Some of their employees seem to prefer their "favorite" customer or friends over regular customers. My last visit there, we pull a number tab and walked around the fabric area and waited for our number to be called. The lady at the fabric counter didnt call our number, I saw she just took who ever was in line. When more customers walked up to the counter, she started going by the number. Our number came up and we walked quickly to the counter to have our one bolt of fabric cut. Instead she took the lady who was got to the counter before us. I told her we are number 18. She was already starting to cut the fabric for the other lady, who had about 6 bolts for fabric. She didnt seem to care and gave service to the other customer standing there before us. WE ONLY HAD ONE BOLT OF FABRIC and we waited by getting our number. The isnt the first time I waited a long time to have my fabric cut. The other time, my daughter and I went there. There was only one employee helping customer, she left the counter to help another customer and they appear to by friends and knew each other. Again, I was already standing in line with my number and only one bolt of fabric to cut. Then that same employee and her customer friend came to the cutting counter and she starting cutting the fabric for her friend first and ignore and didnt care that my daughter and I were standing there for about 15 minutes waiting to be helped. When I said I had been waiting, she and her customer friend just looked at me and smiled at each other. HOW RUDE! They could care less if you are a customer, they prefer to pick and choose who they are going to help first. Thats not right. I would rather spend more money at Hancock Fabric or Textile Fabric where I there are enough employees to cut my fabric instead of waiting forever for someone to help me.

I was in Jo-Ann Fabric on a Saturday evening. I was looking for magnetic tape and velcro. After looking around the store for a few minutes, I spotted a young worker and asked, "Hi. Do you work here? Im needing some help." In which the worker responded that she did in fact work there but "was on break." I then asked her if there might be someone else that could help me in which she replied that someone was now over at the cutting table. I went to the cutting table to ask for directions and asked for help. They told me that it was over against a wall while pointing in that direction. I went to try to find it and had to go back to the cutting table again for help when the worker informed then informed me that was over in the corner while pointing. I found what I needed and went to check out only to find NOONE at the register. I asked if someone was working the register when the worker who was on break that I had originally spoken to curtly replied, "Well, I didnt hear a bell." After thinking of my response, I told her rather quietly that I should not have to ring a bell when it was just me in the store with FOUR workers. In which she curtly replied, "Well, we have things to do." I threw my items on the counter while informing her that her customer service stinks and that I will not be back. I went to Wal-Mart and found both items for less than what I would have paid for one item at Jo-Anns. I am a teacher and buy MANY things for my classroom. But, I will not be buying them from here.

I love a nice clean store but more so I love a nice clean fabric store. I went in Jo-Anns on a mission to find the perfect fur fabric so that I could make a boa to cover up my shoulders and bosoms slightly for a Christmas party. I was walking around the store looking in distress, so many fabrics and so many options and a nice young girl about my age came up to me and introduced herself to me and stated that she worked there. Home girl hooked me up with the perfect fabric that ended up being 40% off and told me to text a number and that I would get an additional 20% off of my entire purchase! To this day I will remain a shopper at Jo-Anns for the amazing staff, discounts, clean store, large selection of fabrics and sales! I might even join there sewing classes in the near future. I highly recommend this fabric store for the people who are do it yourselfers or if youre just wanting to try something new!

Grand opening Gallatin Pike, TN store - I called a few minutes prior to opening ( not aware of the time) however the store main phone was answered. I wanted to speak to someone in the Sewing Dept (rents space in Joanns). The person I spoke to let me know very quickly that the store would not open for 4 more minutes and that this dept I wanted was a separate unit that only rents space. She was in a great hurry to get off the phone. There was NO customer service displayed on this call. I felt like I was intruding just by calling. I think I will shop at another JoAnns store instead of this one.

Very poor service. Female employee talked rude about my daughter to her friend in Spanish, not knowing that my daughter speaks Spanish as a second language. Then told my daughter that another employee would have to cut the other fabric because her friend had just arrived for her lunch break. The other employee took his time to come over and help her. My family will NEVER shop there again! Other family members have had similar experiences there. Go to Hancock fabrics instead where they are friendly and realize the customer is the reason they have a job.

I go to the JoAnns in Franklin normally because its closer for me. I went here because that one is usually really busy and it takes forever to get what I need and leave because of long wait times at the cutting counter and cashier. This JoAnns was amazing. Its a little smaller but the people were so nice. I cant emphasize that enough. The wait for having my fabrics cut and to check out was minimal. The store is well organized and shelves neat. I will drive the extra 15 minutes just to go here instead.

Great store for crafting supplies and home decor. If you want fabric cut dont go on the weekends or when there is a big sale unless you are prepared to wait in line to have your fabric cut. Their checkout lines get pretty long on the weekends too. I do my shopping during the week and usually there isnt a line at all.

I make costumes for a show every year. And every year the people who work here are so great! They walk me through fabrics, method, ideas. I love them! Plus you can pull up the coupons on your phone from their website and almost always get an item for 40-50% discount.
