By far the WORST dealership I have ever had the nightmare of dealing with. Im not the only one with a horror story from this place but Im gonna tell it anyway since no one else will listen. (Horrible, uncaring customer service even higher up) In September 2015 my husband and I leased a "BRAND NEW" 2015 Hyundai Tucson. No miles on it and everything on paper says it is "BRAND NEW" So it must be "BRAND NEW" RIGHT??? WRONG. The car never seemed to drive well right from the beginning. But what do I know about cars. Im just a stay at home mom who drives carpool every day. Im thinking Hyundai is just a very cheap car. After all its "BRAND NEW" so those noises and rattles must be normal RIGHT? WRONG Ok so fast forward a year and a half to the 1st of March when the rattling started. We took the car to Hyundai in Gainesville since its closer and we are under warranty. After they looked at the car they came and spoke to my husband. At some point in the conversation they said "Im not surprised with all the problems youre having considering the top half of the engine was replaced." They even showed it to him in the computer. So my husband makes the hour drive to Ocala. After driving an hour to try to resolve the issues we were having he had the absolute disgrace of meeting the "GENERAL MANAGER JASON DEVILBISS" at that time. He is the most unprofessional human being my husband has ever encountered. His entire mentality was that this was somehow our fault and that we were being "unreasonable" and "Ridiculous" Some more of his choice words to my husband were "What do you care the car is under warranty" and. "Youd be surprised how many of our cars have major engine repairs before we sell them" Are you kidding me? WHO SAYS THAT??? Well the "GENERAL MANAGER" at Jenkins Hyundai does. When it became clear to Jason that we no longer wanted to drive this car due to their non disclosure, He offered to lease us a "BRAND NEW" car for 48 more months and with another down payment. I dont think I have ever felt so insulted in my life to be honest. Nothing was resolved that day and we went home with a brand new off the lot loaner while they supposedly fixed the rattle. We had the loaner car for 3 weeks. During that time my husband contacted corporate Hyundai, the BBB, and corporate Don Jenkins which is strategically hidden inside of Jenkins Acura FYI. Had to do some research to figure that out. Reaching out to them was like plucking out hairs one by one. Ok so we drive the 2 hour round trip to get my car back 3 weeks later. Within 2 days realize that the rattle is back and worse than ever. The car also has no power and feels like it is dragging its bottom on the road. What a nightmare. So they tell us to bring the car back. Another 2 hour round trip, and another brand new off the lot loaner. Did I mention my husband is very busy. He works 12 hour days. We dont have time for this. This time they have my car for an entire month. We dont even get a phone call to let us know anything. After 2 weeks my husband called them to find out that they are replacing the entire engine.

Salesman was great, the car was a good deal, no issues with the price. The issue I had was closing the deal. We bought from Jenkins Hydundai and Mazda at a tent sale. They were not organized, we had our own financing and just needed a buyers order to close the deal. We got pushed from the Mazda finance guy, to the finance manager at Jenkins Hyundai. The finance manager told me it was not his deal, it was the finance guys deal at the Mazda dealership (next door), and said he "WOULD NOT DO MY LEG WORK". I had multiple email and phone calls with this gentleman, only to have him lie, and say we had no contact with him. He ended up opening up financing with the dealership, when I had my own financing. He actually opened up a loan in my name, and my wifes name, for a higher interest rate and term length. He did this just to close out the paperwork for that months sales. He was a complete jerk the whole time, when all I need him to do was print, scan, and email me a buyers order to give to the company I was going to finance with. We only found out about this loan opened up, because he opened it up with the company we told him we had financing with on our own. I only found out by spending the time, with my wife and children, signing documents for my loan, only to get to the end of it and they tell me one is already open for a much higher interest rate and term length. I had to go into the dealership, and speak to the finance director. The finance director told me he could only lower my interest rate, not even to a rate that would match what I got on my own, but lower it without adjusting the term length. I was extremely frustrated, and asked to speak to the dealership manager. He tells me, that his guys told him I had zero contact with them, and thats the reason they did this. So all the way up the chain of command at this dealership, they lie from bottom to top. Not only was he wrong, they couldnt even fix the situation, because it would "cost them money". A situation they caused, and admitted to causing in a completely unauthorized way. I finally spoke with the company I got my financing through, and they agreed to send new paperwork for me to sign for the rate and term length I was opening originally with them. The point of it all is, they lie, and do extremely unethical things at this dealership. They did not offer me an compensation in any way for my time, frustration, having my wife circle the dealership with my very hungry and bored children. They have a large banner that says "anything less than a 10 is a failure". Really, really!?! Its unfortunate that I had to be put in this situation. The managers and customer facing people here really need some lessons on how to deal with people. I recommend if you do buy from Jenkins Hyundai or Mazda of Ocala, do NOT deal with John the finance manager, and do NOT buy from them at a tent sale, where dont have their act together.

A friend of mine, also my employer, helped me purchase a used car at Drive Time because I had no credit. A family member, who also had very bad credit, needed a car and had been approved to buy a used car from that company. So it was thought Id get approved as well. I hadnt had a car for 4 years and I thought my credit was pretty bad, if not risky. So off we went. After completing the application and getting approval, we started the process of choosing a car. I wasnt really happy with the choices but finally drove away with a Ford Focus. The drivers seat didnt recline very well and they sorta skimmed past it. I drove to work from Ocala to The Villages and all seemed fine. The 2nd day was hot, humid and rainy. My shift ended at 9:00 pm and by 9:30 the inside of the car was so fogged up, I had to drive slowly and carefully to arrive home safely. My girlfriend in Boca Raton pleaded with me to go to a REAL dealership and so I said I would. On the morning of the 3rd day, I drove past many dealerships and decided on Jenkins Hyundai and was greeted by a very young man named Kyle. I told him my story and he took me directly to Earl Price who was mentoring him. Also in the business 30+ years. Earl was quite nice and I was quite nervous. I remembered to take my paperwork and showed Earl the file. He shoot his head and after putting me at ease we started the paperwork on a new car. Although I was thinking this could never work, Earl proved me wrong. We completed the necessary paperwork, went to finance after choosing a 2016 Hyundai Accent. Although not fully loaded, it felt like it to me. Even has bluetooth and satellite radio. I was in heaven and still spinning from the friendly, fun, easy-going and matter-of-fact style of Earl. Kyle was also extremely helpful in the whole process and I know hell go far in his career. Once everything was together, Kyle and I drove both cars to Drive Time to get out of the contract for the Ford Focus and ask for the refund. It was really no big deal but they did ask if I had contacted the company to take care of the problems with the car. I simply stated I have a new car now and want to cancel the contract. They kept their car and I have my new car. I would highly recommend Jenkins Hyundai to anyone in need of a car. Earl even offers a free class on "How Not To Buy A Car". So if youre looking for a quality car from a family business who has your back, go to Jenkins and ask for Earl or Kyle and tell them Barbara sent you. May you all enjoy 100,000 blessings.
